MHA is by far the most disappointing ending ever made in a manga. The author either hates Deku or shouldn't write longer stories. I'm 1000% certain a better writer could have used the same ending and gave Deku a proper send off.
@@Cursed888 well, I don’t know about using the _same_ ending, but I would say that the concept of Deku and OFA vs All For One would have certainly been done much better by a more experienced author. It happens a lot in fiction, somebody will come up with a fantastic concept, but then not know where to take it, and it just leaves a bad taste.
@JetteAMT I understand the hesitation with the use of the same ending but I'm sadly dead serious. We were shown the wrong images to make this seem like a good ending. They could have shown us panels of Deku being celebrated for saving the world, the gang meeting up with him in their down time over the years, telling him how his advice saved them in a mission or is helping them teach their sidekicks proper protocol. We get the opposite, a sad Deku griping. Being a teacher for Supes is a dream for Deku as a character but the author thinks being a thankless teacher is heroic (which I agree to an extent). It can be portrayed as such but even Deku's squad doesn't seemingly acknowledge him as the deciding factor in their conflict over 8 years?? They should have stuck to original idea of Deku being quirkless with support gear with how this turned out.

I keep seeing people saying this there seems to be a a sort of time of peace bc they literally defeat all the big bad villains deku still becomes a hero again after all even without a quirk which was what he asked all might at the start of the series a lot of this stuff was put into the story early on you can say you don’t like it and it’s not really great writing but it surely isn’t bad
he started alone and ended alone, just like Naruto. in the last volume he is standing alone. But Naruto is a different story. kishi was forced to end it the way we got it because the publishers wanted a new generation to make more money. Gaiden is kishis last official work and there we know what he wanted to do all along. He tried to make Sasuke and Karin, no wonder Karin is even hinted at the title. What was the point of giving Deku OFA if Horikoshi intended for him to remain Quirkless after beating AFO? Horikoshi did AFO and Deku dirty in the final arc. AFO was a no-nonsense, unstoppable and terrifying force of nature in Kamino arc, but the final arc marginalized him to a cartoonish supervillain who never read the Evil Overlord list. Deku, man. He never got his chance to shine when Class 1 A kept hijacking his moment. Not only he lost OFA, he barely got any recognition after the battle. The final chapter felt like Deku was lying to hinself that everything is okay. It feels like Horikoshi tried to imitate FMA ending but botched it up.
This has to be the explanation, trying to imitate FMA. Too bad the author forgot that edward was respected for his achievements even after losing his alchemy.
I don't understand how you thought AFO was cartoony. AFO dominated his fight against everyone in Gunga Villa as soon as he used rewind. He instantly killed gigantomachia, took down Mt. Lady, took hawks quirk, almost took tokoyamis quirk. Then while he was taking his time with all might, in the end he still captured him, took all mights crippled and mangled body into deku's view. And when it seemed like all might was going to make a sacrifice play, AFO destroys his wrist bomb and nearly tears him in half. Then even after dying, he still took over shigaraki's body and revealed that everything in shigaraki's life, including his birth, has all been planned by AFO. And this is a hot take but I actually really like the ending. This is much more personal so you can talk shit about this but even if Deku didn't get a statue (which he and all of class 1-a did) I think it would have fit his humble personality very well. He doesn't need every single person telling him he's the greatest hero of all time. Not to mention people think that because Deku doesn't have a quirk anymore he, 1. Isn't a hero anymore which is wrong since he was gifted a suit by 1-a so he can still be a hero 2. People also think Deku isn't the greatest hero of all time anymore because he doesn't have OFA. Which I think is crazy when Deku quite literally took down 2 of the strongest characters in the verse.
@@thatguy2284 AFO made too many tactical blunders in the final arc, which I thought was highly uncharacteristic of him. He wasted too much time indulging in gloating and torturing enemies instead of just rushing to Tomura's side and fulfil his plan. Even the whole reveal of him controlling Shigaraki's life just proved how unnecessarily convoluted his plan was. AFO already had access to a duplicate of Overhaul's Quirk from the doctor, which could have solved the problem of his body not being able to handle stronger Quirks. Overhaul Quirk could have remodeled AFO's body. Heck, if he had the Overhaul Quirk, AFO could have recovered from the injury inflicted by All Might all those years ago. All For One was an excellent villain, but I feel Horikoshi intentionally dumbed him down in the final arc so that the other heroes could have a chance of beating him. The execution felt contrived and OOC. As for Deku, Horikoshi reduced him to a shadow of his former self. I won't argue about him not getting recognition because that's a matter of opinion, although it does bother me that Deku's heroic deeds went largely unnoticed and unappreciated by the public. But Deku spent the majority of the series training to master OFA at 100%. The least Horikoshi could have done was let Deku keep only OFA (without the other Quirks) with him. After all, Deku did say OFA's other purpose was to save people. It would have been interesting to watch Deku save people's lives while spending his whole life mastering OFA's power. Deku losing OFA feels like a waste of all his efforts and training. The powered suit feels like Horikoshi making a mockery of Deku, reducing him to a pitiful pariah. That's my opinion.

However, for AFO's blunders, I forgot who exactly said it but I remember it being said that as AFO gets younger, he gets more hateful and angry. For instance, AFO was pissed off at Bakugo during their fight and that caused Bakugo to get the upper hand when AFO used his big move. As for the Deku stuff, I ABSOLUTELY agree that it's crazy that Deku only got a little recognition. However it's not as though Deku didn't become a hero that everyone knows, it's just that nobody is fangirling over him like they are to Bakugo and todoroki. I mean hell, the kid in the last chapter asked if he could be a hero like all might, endeavor, Bakugo and himself. Directly comparing one of the greatest heroes of all time, All Might, and the former #1 hero, Endeavor, to himself and his rival/friend. I also think that Deku getting to master just OFA would have been a cool ending as well. As for the Horikoshi making a mockery of Deku for taking OFA. I think that rather than making a mockery of Deku. Horikoshi instead showed how his story came full circle, just like how society came full circle in the end. Shown by the grandma who didn't help shigaraki, helping a different child in need. Deku just like in the beginning of the series, became quirkless. And I think it was to show that no matter where you start from or where you end, anyone can be a hero. However that could simply be me being stupid and looking into it too deep.
@@thatguy2284 Even so, I think Deku deserved a better payoff for all his hardships. I mean, the ending of FMA validated Edward's opinion that he is better off without his alchemy. Truth was so impressed with Ed's decision that he promptly restored Alfonse's body and was genuinely happy for Ed. Afterwards, Ed got to marry his childhood friend and led a normal, happy life. Here, Deku was forced to give up his powers and barely received any recognition beyond "some crazy dude who broke his bones." And after years of working as a Quirkless high school teacher, he receives some technology suit to help him become a hero. It's like Naruto who failed to become a Hokage, lost his Chakra, working in a ramen shop while watching his friends become successful jonin, remembering the days of the 4th Shinobi war. And after many years, Sasuke, out of pity, buys Naruto a Hokage costume and some cheap Scientific Ninja tools, telling him to continue working towards being a Hokage. In my opinion, that's pure mockery on a meta level. Anyways, this is what I feel about the MHA ending. At least Koichi from Vigilante had a decent ending. He went from being a quirky vigilante to a sidekick for Captain Celebrity in the US.
I don't have a problem with Deku being a teacher, it's what he's teaching. He's teaching at UA and while that sounds good, for the themes of MHA, it is bad. He's teaching kids when they have already made the effort to reach UA. Remember, most if not all of the villains that Deku has come across have been discriminated against in some form of way. I thought Deku was going to be a quirk counselor that goes around Japan(and the world if it reaches that point) and helps to uplift kids who have mutant quirks(like Spinner), villainous quirks(like Toga), or are quirkless(like himself). This will show that at least he is making an effort to change society. Also, in those 8 years, has Deku done anything to at least try to go out the field and become a hero? No. He has to be hand-gifted another power or tech to become a hero instead of trying himself. That is my problem with him, or at least how he is written, I never see him try or attempt to do something, he's just suddenly in the situation and he magically gets the W. I wanted him to be more proactive. He is too inactive as an MC which makes him feel like an NPC in his own show. It's sad too because I still like Deku but damn, give the dude some ACTUAL character development.
The ending was bad because it felt rushed and gave unnecessary details while ignoring important ones, there are various issues: 1. The chapter was as long as every other chapter, I personally believe that a good final chapter needs a much larger amount of pages to flesh out as much things as possible, with a minimum of at least double the pages of a normal chapter, even if it takes twice as long to release it, it will have a higher chance to be worth it. 2. Deku didn't fulfill his "promise to the audience" or so to say, take avatar the last airbender for example, every opening stated that he was destined to save the world by having katara stating her belief in him, imagine if Aang had to give up his avatar state/bendings to defeat Ozai and he ended up working at Iroh's tea shop while his friends abandon him until a few years later where they return with a suit that lets you use bending (an analogy i saw in another video comments and found funny ngl). 3. The fandom is known for its overwhelming love for shipping characters, it is indeed scary, scary enough to scare the Author himself from ever disclosing any relationship, which lead to even worse backlash (not feeding the beasts, as you may say).

Deku provide data and be the test subject, while hatsume can invent or upgrade the suit according to the data provided by deku. Man they did Izuku very dirty in this Ending giving him that peter Parker treatment of how sad and miserable his life is when he's not Spiderman and they left the mystery of Izuku's absent Father unanswered and ambiguous even not seeing a update on the other characters like his Mom inko midoriya and the other hero schools like Shiketsu High and ketsubutsu Academy with their characters after the timeskip where this Ending rises more questions than answers. One Piece did their 2 year timeskip Wayy better even Naruto to Boruto with other Animes in their Endings especially for their main characters but Wow Horikoshi did Izuku very dirty and it ruins everything he's worked hard for with OFA since he didn't even fully master it only to lose it permanently forever. @@dinolover I gotta agree, unfortunately. The thing is, I’m a writer myself, and when I get into a new series, my favorite thing to do is try to predict the plot. My Hero Academia had amazing potential, there were so many places the story could’ve gone. I think the author really just had no clue what to do with it. It has its good moments, but with the whole series finished, when you look it at all as a whole, MHA really is a pointless story. It’s a slice of life anime but with superpowers and the occasional villain.

I can tolerate Deku losing OfA, but I can't tolerate Deku not being a hero. Many heros are shown having to fight quirklessly in the show, Sir Nighteye and Mandalay come to mind. Mandalay's quirk is Telepath, she can send her thoughts out to others but can't receive any thoughts in return, making her a one-way intercom. Mandalay is easily replaced with walkie talkies, and/or satellite phones, which have the added benefit of having two-way communication. Her quirk does nothing for combat, investigations, and is easily replaced for rescue operations, by standard gear any rescue hero should already have. However Mandalay, has a (incredibly niche) quirk therefore she gets to be a hero, where as Deku doesn't. I always felt that the moral of the story was that the powers didn't matter, but rather the hero's spirit was what mattered, but that gets thrown out the window in the ending, because without any powers your spirit doesn't mean shit.
4:55 Yeah, that's a BLEACH thing, where the name of attacks and even the weapons themselves, give them strenght. It's something we learned when Ichigo 1st used Getsuga Tenso, and how it was stronger after he learned it's name, as well as the fact one of the most powerful characters in the series, can REMOVE names from things, and in doing so strip them of their power.
This ending in a way makes izuku into the type of hero stain was against. Now before y'all crucify me hear me out, izuku graduated UA via the hero course, hence he's technically already a legal pro-hero so if he's already a pro hero legally then why for 8 years did he do presumably no hero work but rather become a teacher. Throughout the series it shows that you can be capable with physical training so, izuku basically gave up being a hero, he didn't want to join an agency and be a sidekick or at least do low level missions but hero missions nonetheless. Only when he was givin the op power suit did he decide "yup let's be a hero" so he only wants to be a popular top 10 in the limelight hero not those ones that will offer a hand to anyone that needs help and knowing he atleast saved someone. He basically bacame the hero season 1 bakugou wanted to become ironically being one for fame rather than heroism 😂😂😂😂😭😭
It feels like that rent a girlfriend show. Like if Ochako didn't get with deku than at least he should of had a relationship with all the friends he made. Or scrap that, make deku pass the ember of power on or the complete dissolvement of one for all all for one and deku get with that fox fish gal and he still stays in contact with his hero friends. Saying Bleach has a worse ending than MHA is crazy. Even if it got rushed because of Kubo's health, the ending for the most part still works at least. Could it have been better? Of course it could have. But unlike with Deku's journey, Ichigo's journey wasn't All for Nothing. Ichigo still has his powers to protect his friends and family. Ichigo and Orihime get married and have a kid so that ship that was set up in the beginning of the series actually pays off. Ichigo still has contact with all his friends, family, and allies.

There’s also the fact Ichigo and Rukia were clearly setup to be together; Kubo even had it to where Ichigo was too strong by the end to ever return to the human world, without essentially destroying reality. It was the perfect way to bring Ichigo and Rukia together. Instead, Ichigo goes back to the human world anyway, and Rukia gets with RENJI? There are redeeming factors in Bleach’s ending (some of which you covered already), but the bad parts are some of the worst I’ve seen in fiction. Bleach’s ending was Game Of Thrones tier.😭
@@JetteAMT The final battle with Yhwach had several stages and it was not off-screen. Also Ichigo and Rukia were never meant to be a thing. That was Studio Pierrot taking creative liberties with the early parts of Bleach. They removed several scenes that showed how Ichigo and Orihime were into each other and tried to push some IchiRuki agenda. By the time the Arrancar Arc started, Kubo stepped in to supervise the anime production. Ichigo and Orihime were always Kubo's intended endgame. And Rukia and Renji grew up together and had developed feelings for each other. So no. The My Hero ending is still worse.
When you keep in mind that the whole story happens in Izuku's first year of UA, not the whole 3 years (even though each Act could be one year of school) it's even more devastating in context. He peaked in his first year at high school. The power he trained his @$$ off to get, he looses it after his first year at the school.

Midoria should not have lost one for all, or at the very least he shouldn't have lost the strength part of it. I could forgive losing danger sense, flight, black whip, compounding force(forgot the name) all of those, but he shouldn't have lost the super strength. Narratively it would make sense if he lost the special powers, all the past hosts of OFA who fought AFO could rest in peace. Their mission is finally complete so their lingering desires to beat AFO can pass on and so could their powes, leaving OFA as just a strength quirk but still with the ability to pass it on and compound Powers for the future incase some other world threatening villain emerges. And it would ESPECIALLY fit narratively because for Deku to become the number 1 hero with something as simple as super strength would fit the brain using nerd turned badass we've followed and cheered for this whole time.
The ending is supposed to end with Deku and Uraraka married together. That's the bare minimum. Since the MHA ending sucks, it can no longer be considered canon
What if Deku instead of all for one being alive it’s an illusion realizing as he was transferring his power all for one transferee himself as a last ditch effort. Now with a new quirk he has no idea how to control he also has to fight the will of the BBEG without one for all. Idk, I didn’t read the manga :)
@@anthonybarnes706 I mean he kinda was reverted back to his old self though. He finally learned to work together and be kind, we saw this with how he treated Deku over the course of the series. But in the last chapter, he’s just screaming at and threatening random people just because they’re fans of his and want to talk to him. That’s a character regression. :/
@@JetteAMT It’s really not, that’s how Bakugo has always been; it’s just how he is. He’s hot-headed and confrontational. His character development focused on the issues regarding his inferiority complex, his relationship with Midoriya and his idea of heroism. There’s plenty and plenty of angry Bakugo moments post Deku apology, that’s just who he is.

7:00 Are you like... forgetting the main reason why Deku can't do this? Why he "can't" kill Shigaraki? Deku legitimately does not want to kill Shigaraki. 7:35 no, Shigaraki is not "way too strong" either. In the final fight, it is literally stated that Deku could eviscerate Shigaraki if he wasn't trying to save the Tenko spirit within him. You never spoke about the fact that Deku wanted to save him at all, besides like at 8:30 where you acknowledged it, but didn't really say anything at all about it and transitioned into speaking about AFO. And tbh I dont think it was ALL for nothing lmao. I mean Shigaraki and AFO would have reigned supreme if he hadn't bossed up. Plus the story was kinda hinting at all this, Deku's whole reason for being chosen was because of his spirit, not his (lack thereof) powers or strength. He wants to be like All Might, hope that can inspire. But yeah the "we all became the greatest heroes," Bakugo's de-evolvement, him not ending up with Ochaco, the rushed ahh supersuit ending that wasn't set up at all, the world not recognizing Deku for the hero he is and having his classmates ghost him for 8 YEARS even though he literally stopped the greatest evil ever, (plus they had an entire arc where they tried to get him back into UA, seriously nobody reached out to him? They just let him work for UA for 8 years????) And we still didn't get to see Deku's dad like Horikoshi promised. Yeah all that sucks. But i just wanted to point out some stuff that I recognized in the video.
My brother, I never said anything about killing Shigaraki😭 I was talking about how Deku got his ass handed to him every time he fought Shigaraki. Because Shiggy can regenerate, it doesn’t matter how many times Deku hits him with power attacks. Deku will end up destroying himself first. He had to overload Shiggy’s body with all of OFA in order to beat him. Dude was way overpowered. Remember how many times Shigaraki took a deadly blow and it was instantly regenerated? Countless times in the story, it looks like things start swinging in favor of the heroes, and then that hope is ripped away. It happened countless times, all the way up into and through the final battle. The worst example of this is Deku losing his arms. I don’t think Deku’s sacrifice was for nothing. He was the one who did 99% of the work in beating Shiggy/AFO. That’s my issue with the ending. He wasn’t given even an inkling of the credit he deserves. It’s not Deku’s sacrifice that I think is for nothing-it’s the series as a whole. With this ending, the whole story becomes pointless IMO. But that said, we mostly agree. The destination is just as important as the journey, perhaps even more so. If the ending is unsatisfying then everything building up to it can feel wasted and hollow. At least that's my opinion. I haven't watched the last season yet but I kept hearing rumors about how bad it was. So I watched your video and as I was watching I got flashbacks of Mass Effect 3. All those hundreds of hours of gameplay and choices over 3 games not meaning squat as I'm forced to choose what color light I wanna die in. The journey was great, but where I ended up left me so unsatisfied that I felt disgusted I spent so much time on it. Now I have a similar feeling for MHA. What a waste.

I didn't make it to this part of the manga so I have no context so pardon me if I sound dumb, but I'm pretty sure deku could have just punched shigaraki into outer space to beat him. Am I missing something here? Either way, not finishing this one this is just too much for me.
I guess that’s what happens when there’s so much more chapters than expected I guess. Horikoshi confirmed there were supposed to be only 30 volumes and well there were like 42 🤷♂️

Say what you will about attack on Titan but at the very least some goal is met and there’s a proper ending instead of beginning in the same place you end at least got goals and there was an end we got to see the characters move on here we start with the same thing and we end with the same thing
@@user-wl1rx4hj6d you’re exactly right. I didn’t hate Attack On Titan’s ending as much as some others I’ve seen, the ending just seemed a bit extreme and out-of-left-field for me. But compared to what we got in My Hero, it’s night and day. AOT’s ending is brilliant comparatively, lol.😂 I was pretty irritated about Deku and Ochaco never paying off. It’s teased throughout the entire series, but nothing ever happens. One of the things I liked about MHA on my first watch is how it seemed like the author was setting up a clear love interest from the beginning. Most series out there don’t often do that, they wait until the very end to pair the MC with someone. Think Naruto and Hinata, Ichigo and Orihime, etc. but Deku and Ochaco were clearly set up to be together from way early on, and despite this, Deku ends up alone. I don’t get it.
Kind of glad I stopped watching this anime at like season 4 then. Never really been into shonen but the series was well made at the time, sounds like the author just kind of buckled under the pressure though.
I feel like the anime will clear up these misconceptions cause Horikoshi only had 15 pages worth to fit everything in its clear. The jump deadline was hurting his back. There is gonna be a Volume 42 (The Final Volume) with confirmed additional additions. Demon Slayer received a fleshed out ending, so i imagine Horikoshi will do that for here. Deku was recognized he had a statue with Class 1A in one of those background panels. And i for sure dont believe his friends abandonded him. Rather, they could not meet up as a group all the time. This does not mean he doesn't see some more than others individually. As for Ochako X Deku, she's literally wearing an inspired mask by his hero costume in that last panel. I believe they are together offscreen (we will have to wait to see in the fanbook) As for the narration at the beginning i believe the point of "WE" is to show that All Might being the sole number #1 is where society crumbled because everyone relied on him too much and didn't see him as a person but just an idol. Thats why there are mutiple statues behind All Might's statue in the final chapter hes not worshiped alone its everyone's efforts. Now im not saying i agree with Deku not getting 99% more recongition than what he got but i can clearly see the intention with Hori's thought process here having a greatest alone is taxing and sets expectations but with this new system there is more freedom and breathing room. This ending is not perfect but can be fleshed out and really good depending on whats rewritten/expanded upon. Thats my take on it. (Also, to clear things up, All Might said it has been 8 years since the final war, meaning it has been only 6 years since Deku lost the embers, because we can see them going out on the final day of graduation. So he was a hero for another 2 years, so he was only quirkless without the suit for 6)
Deku even having the opportunity to become a hero despite being quirkless was his blessing, in the time he got to do good he became the best hero in the world. Even the kid in the final chapter knowing him and admiring him, deku trained his all to do good and he did it. He saved the day, the reason he’s still allowed to become of a hero is because of the connections he’s made and how many people believe in his strength. IMO it was a great ending but I understand not wanting your mc to have a bittersweet ending
I only watched the first episode when it first came out and did not like the main character trying to be a Gon from HxH lookalike but made a crybaby with no ambition. Cool video and lmao poor viewers.

Mirio is the top hero, not Bakugou. Eri cannot rewind places His friends did not forget him for 8 years. The chapter NEVER says this all it says is that they haven't had time to meet up and that their schedules haven't coincided. Midoriya does have a statue along with 1A you can see it when he is walking on the streets.

On page 14 of chapter 430, there’s a wide shot of all the statues of the heroes from the final battle, and Deku is not in it. Clearly he isn’t important to the world he saved. His friends certainly did forget him for 8 years. Their schedules didn’t line up? It literally says that heroes have time to kill. They have spare time, they just clearly didn’t spend any of it with Deku, which is why he says he is lonely. Bakugo WAS the number one hero. He drops down a few points and Todoroki takes the lead. This is directly implied in the last chapter. Mirio is mentioned afterward but the writing is clunky and contradictory. Nothing about this ending is good. Edit: Also, we don’t know what the limits of Eri’s powers would’ve been. She’s a kid, and she potentially lost her powers as a kid. If the author was a better writer, Eri’s power would naturally be the other half of Shigaraki’s Decay that All For One removed. In that case, she would be able to rewind anything.

OK, so apparently, either Midoriya is talking past tense, or it's a translation issue, but I'll 🏳️ on that one. But Aizawa says he's going to drop, so whichever number he's on, he's still there, and Todoroki will take his spot. The wide shot is of All Might and civilians showing that they're not just going to focus on Heroes anymore. The line if “Ever since we all started working our time off never seems to line up, it's hard to plan get togethers” What part of that even HINTS that they forgot about each other? They clearly still keep in touch, but they're busy living their own lives. We're literally told and shown that Eri can only rewind living things. If she was able to rewind places, she would've turned the battlefield into a wasteland. Can I give this ending a good review? No it's terrible but I can at least try and defend it from people spreading false information (This is not at you but the leaker and others.) and who have clearly not read the manga after Sports Festival or Overhaul. And have the goal to say “Oh I always knew it was going to be bad Horikoshi is a terrible writer and should never write in” when these are probably the same people that for some reason suck him off for having Ochako fight Bakugou or think he should quit after only reading 1 of his works.

The entire conclusion to the "Dark Deku" arc or whatever the official arc name is was the class coming together to bring this one dude back. Surely one of them could've made time for him. Sorry, but, there are some things you got wrong: 1. Deku wanted to be a hero so he can inspire people the same way All Might inspired him. He did not do it for the external rewards or for bitches. He is the embodiment of a true hero: someone willing to sacrifice his own happiness for someone in need. And in the end, he found happiness by being a hero another way, which was the entire point of his character arc, to broaden the definition of a hero. 2. Deku is not just some lowly teacher, he is a teacher at one if the most prestigious hero academies in all of Japan if not the planet, where he not only gets to put his skills in quirk analysis in helping his students, he gets to inspire those same students in the same way he was inspired and in a way tenko never got. 3. Deku is still reckgonize as a legendary hero in the same vein as All Might, Dai recognize him as a living legend, and he did get a statue. The reason why he isn't a 'bigger deal' is because the point of the story was the Final War was a collective effort. Even though Deku was the main catalyst, it took everyone's effort to save all of Japan. The point of the story was that relying on a singular pillar or symbol leads to complacency, and complacency leads to more people like the LOV members being born. That is why its a GOOD thing he is not being worshipped as the #1 hero. 4. The iron man suit prototype costed All Might his entire fortune "BUT THE SuiT took 8 YeArs" It's a battle suit no shit it takes a long time to develop, and the time skip was from his chat with Ochako which included his last 3 years in UA, so it probably took at most 6. And one other thing is that if Momo, Iida, Kirishima, and Shoto wanted to help, they have to literally give Almost ALL OF THEIR MONEY, to make Deku's suit, not to mention, Momo, Iida, Kirishima, and Shoto got their own life to live. 5) Why do people equate "Great Hero", or even "Greatest Hero" like someone of tangible title, like Hokage or Pirate King? I think saving the world from the Greatest villan in history as well as changing the entire culture of heroes in general is worthy of the greatest hero title, even if it's not said outright (even though All Might himself called Deku a hero that surpassed him) 6) And about the quirkless hero thing BEING A QUIRKLESS PRO HERO IS IMPOSSIBLE, THE SERIES NEVER SAID IT WAS POSSIBLE First the system was just not designed with quirkless people in mind, the entire point of having a license is to essentially being able to use quirk freely. Second there has been no provable cases where being a quirkless hero can work consistently on the same levels of pros. And please spare me the examples of people like Toga and Stain, who have 'Weak Quirks', as if just because they don't fire DBZ style ki blasts means their abilities are as useful as a quirkless person. I don't want to even hear about knuckleduster from the spinoff, who actually shows why such a route is not long term sustainable and reckless because he was still getting beat down alot and had to rely on all sorts of weaponry as well as drugs, very un-deku like things to do. (Not to mention he was a vigilante. ILLEGAL) And what about Mirio or Ragdoll when they lost their quirks, did they just "Go To the Gym Bro"? No, they stopped pursuing their careers until they got their quirks. 6.5) The reason Deku was so cool with not being a pro anymore was apart if his arc, to broaden his perspective of what heroes are. The reason why he goes so far and breaks his body IS FOR OTHER PEOPLE, SELFLESSNESS WAS HIS CORE CHARACTER TRAIT. His arc is realizing he can't bear the weight of being a symbol alone and needs to put his trust in his friends to bear the weight with him (the whole point of the vigilante arc, and when the shift to "we became great heroes" began). And as stated above, being a Quirkless hero is tantamount to suicide, and would be less about Deku making a difference, and more for his own ego, which is probably why he decided to use his experience and skill set to be a S-class hero, instead if a C-D class hero. 7) Japan has been through a war, so it's understandable they aren't going to give resources out willy nilly, even to people like Deku. Although he was incredibly instrumental in the war, he wasn't the only hero who needs assistance, let alone only citizen Overall, I think the ending followed through on most of the themes it played out. And some other things I wanna add, if you payed attention to the Final War Arc in the fight between All Might with his iron suit and All For One, All Might's with his iron suit was kinda stronger than his prime form, so basically the suit Deku got might be stronger than his prime form. And lastly, Deku couldn’t talk to his friends as much because their breaks don't coincide as often as their meetings in U.A because his friends are PRO HEROES and Deku is a DAMN TEACHER. And Deku's dad is obviously DEAD if he didn't appear in THE WHOLE SERIES. Anyways, some parts of my comment was from @pizzaa720, so credits to him.

And he is def not recognized on the same level as All Might. We see All Might front and center, with a statue so big that it stands out in front of EVERYONE despite him having little to no impact on the final battle. Midoriya’s statue is nowhere to be seen. I’ve checked the page multiple times and still haven’t seen him.🤣 The main character got absolutely shafted and sidelined in his own story. And the suit taking 8 years IS a problem. All Might’s suit took 1. ONE. 1 year opposed to 8. And All Might’s suit contained all the quirks of Class 1A iirc. Why did they make it so fast for him, but not Deku? Because they love All Might, and they forgot Deku existed. Why do people equate “number one hero” to Pirate King/Hokage? _Because that’s the way the author presented the title to us._ Number One IS a status symbol in MHA on the level of Pirate King. We agree on Deku DESERVING to be recognized as such, BUT it never happened. All Might can say whatever he wants, it’s irrelevant to the main point I was making-the world at large does not recognize Deku’s greatest achievement. And last thing I have time for, when did I EVER say being a quirkless pro hero was possible? My issue is Deku losing his powers, not him giving up on his dream itself. He had no choice. The rest of your rant there doesn’t apply to anything I said. Stain and Toga are completely useless, though.🤣 Out of all of this, my biggest gripe is the All Might statue thing. After all Deku did to save the world, sacrificing his body and his dreams, and risking his life, the world still sees All Might as the greatest ever. He gets the credit for Deku’s win, and the main character gets pushed aside in his own story. The ending completely retcons what Deku said at the beginning of the series. The ending is indefensible.

I think people are being entirely too hard on the ending. Yeh the last stand was tropey, but I think it’s all earned. Nowhere near as disappointing as Naruto or Bleach. People are either overreacting, or don’t know exactly how bad Shonen manga endings can get.
@@JetteAMT ik they were trying to set it up, but Kaguya came out of nowhere just to sideline Madara. A character that’s been foreshadowed since the first couple chapters of Naruto. And has been a part of the story and a huge threat since he debuted. Only to be conveniently betrayed by Kaguya and black Zetsu. Her appearance is nowhere near as jarring as One for All possessing shigaraki. Atleast in MHA the betrayal made enough sense that you could see it coming if you paid attention and thought out their powers.
