i wouldnt've minded the downgrade in animation quality, but the fact that almost every fight seems to occur in broad sunny daylight with plain green backgrounds and the same sky makes it not that exciting visually either.
It's not the broad daylight that gets me. It's that fact that even some of the most important moments look like stationary still frames and there is no continuity and fluidity throughout the animation. Season 6's animation was good in the first few episodes and in Deku's Vigilante arc. For season 7, it was okay in first few, really good from episode 7-12 but my gosh, they messed up real hard in th today aired episode. The most important. Second battle between ofa and afo
The only thing regarding MHA's anime that genuinely looks awful are Atelier Musa's backgrounds. It's specially true when you compare it to the background art made by Bamboo for the movies. One thing that I feel most people never mention at all is that from S3 onward, Bones pretty much almost never fully outsourced episodes, which means there's a way bigger workload for the main staff to work on. (Also, big disagree on calling All Might vs Nomu "the best animated fight in the series". That goes to Endeavor vs High End)
bungou stray dogs too doesnt outsourced episodes from s1 maybe 1 or 2 episodes. bungou is not the most animated series BUT it is still impressive. and yes endeavor vs high end is better. THATS MY BAD
I just wish My Hero Academia could have the same level of quality of JJK and Chinsaw Man, bro. Like it's not terrible by any means but it just deserves it.
@@bruhfunny8123JJK *is* a bit easier because of the newer style they went with tho…..Kinda like how current OP is easier than when it was still in the Wano arc
@@sinchisan Horikoshi multiple times said that the movies are canon he indirectly also included nine in one of mva chapters and now we see melisa, rody's siblings and (forgot the name of movie 2 siblings kahoro and matsumo I suppose, they both were also seen cheering for bkg in the TV fighting)
The anime isn't bad... it just isn't great and falls short of it's true potential. It doesn't do the mangas artwork justice in the slightest and I'm so sick of slideshows. It doesn't feel like there's any love in the series animation.
I agree with some of the things she said like with the openings (And yes, all the movies are canon the characters who appear in the movies up here in the manga) but I honestly don't even think they have bad animation. I just think there's an episode or two that had lack luster images and then somebody on Twitter screenshoted it and put it side by side with the manga which is kind of unfair since horikoshi has spectacular and the anime has never truly captured his art, but even in the next arc they amped it up which is something I really appreciated. And even how death do it slightly animated different compared to his other classmates)
As an mha fan yeah im really sad how the animation fell off. I still have faith in Bones though. If Deku vs Shigaraki at least looks as good as the lady nagant fight, i will be very happy
Nagasaki is just listed as cheif director but he was never invovlved in any of eps after s3, he was just in movies and recently returned in the card game OVA. Kouki Fujimoto is like a no garentee when it comes to a series he was main KA in jjk s1 and never appeared in s2, he made a directorial debut in one of frieren episodes. Well its not just some star animators but even animators who were decently active in s5 like akiko otsuka, Yukina Kosaka(did return for shigaraki awakening with decay in s5), Haruki Iida and Jason Yao(the guy who I think carried most of s5) also dissappeared from the project and later seemed appear in the movie 3. Plus the lockdown also caused porduction issues, thus foiled sequence of lot of non-japanese animators(hope I get to seee vincent again in mha s7 or 8). s5 also didn't have umakoshi if I'm correct, ig pandemic is also to blame for that. Also Endeavour vs nomu is better animated than Allmight vs nomu followed by Deku vs Bakugou and Deku vs Nagant
@@ToiletCleaner666 I personally don't see it. I thought the new fights were stunning, but I feel like its just me at this point. I see how it fell off at around season 5 but personally I felt like in the end of season 5 and onwards, the visuals and story reached their peak. :/
It really wasnt. The issue is that things couldve been a lot better if they had more time. Its just kinda unfortunate. Although Deku vs Shigaraki without a doubt didnt look that great and im still a bit salty about that.
It was. So much so that I dropped it and just continued to stick with the manga. That deku vs shigaraki fight was the last straw after terrible season 5 and mva.
Sorry to correct you, but first 3 movies are canon. If you remember the girl from movie 1, she gave Deku a power controlling glove in Season 6. Also do you remember star light from season 7, she first appeared in movie 1. 2nd & 3rd movie characters appeared during war arc in the manga. But 4th one is more likely not canon.
i dropped the anime when i saw the mirko vs nomu fight. i was already disappointed by how my villain academia got handled. that fight was the final straw, it looked much better in the manga imo.
bro i think the animation in s6 was fine but OMG season s7 ep 7-10 are just dogwater bro some of the most mid animation i ever seen bones what are u doing
great & interesting video good job fun watch shame that mha fell off edit; as for thoughts on mha the only thing i have left to say is bakugou is cool & i miss its peak
cant wait to see OPM ss2 got MHA treatment from bones, oh l take back those words i want OPM to get mappa bad quality and overwork treatmeant :'(( still better than bones lazy ugly draw in most scenes
@@marakyoo9075 mob and mha have two completely different staff lists and schedules. mha is a continuous production like one piece, they simply take a 1 year break from airing every time a season ends. mob, on the other hand, always had 2/3 years to complete each season. obviously the end results for both shows will be massively different
