Finally i mounted my new HEXBEAM antenna on the roof! It works excellent. SWR is low as 1:1,2 on all 6 bands. Aditional tunning was not needed and all was plug and play system. Good job Waldi!
Antenna elevation is about 35m above the ground level and about 4m above the roof level.

Any observation in the qrm between hexbeam and any other antenna. Interested to know what is the typical gain of HEXBEAM

I didn't had a chance to make an A/B comparison between this HEX Beam and any other Yagi or another beam antenna. But I believe that background noise will be similar as any other 2element Yagi. Here on the bottom of this website you will find the table with gain on all 6 bands (It's about 3,2-3,8dBd Forward gain and 16-22dBd F/B on HF).

I live in a block of flats 13 meters high and I want to hang the antenna 3 meters above the flat roof. What will be the effective height of the antenna - 16 meters or 3 meters??

I know these work well but they look like a whirly gig which is used here in the uk for hanging your washing on !!.My neighbours would go mental if i put that up.

pcomp fully recommending hex beam, but i am not sure if is not too big for portable. This one has 6m in diameter an weight 9kg.

Oh that's a loong story about the music here... I am glad that this video is not completely muted or deleted :) for audio copyright reasons... I had to choose one of the Google's sound which are mostly like you said :-D
