A 1/1 600 Ohm to 600ohm audio transformer would get rid of any issue with feedback, their pretty cheap. Also I don't use the talkback of the radio as it doesn't give a great representation of what you really sound like over the air. What I do is use is an old cobra 25 with no mods and I hook headphones to the speaker jack and use it to monitor my audio, You don't need any coax going to the listening radio. This works really good because you will sound great to the regular cb'er and sound real good to the hifi guys. Other then that great job on the hookup and vid. i have that same program on my Ipad also. Fun to play with and if you change the pitch you can sound like a little kid. So fun to mess with people lol. Stickman
I run a studio mic into a custom made box that converts 1/4 inch plug into 4 pin with a floor switch for keying up. from there it runs to a 4 channel eq and into a guitar effect processor that ultimately ends up into a 2980wx..It sounds like fm with real clean, deep bass tones. Thanks for sharing the video, nice setup!! 73's Tinman737 SC
unless your pass band is over 3k wide transmit, your not reproducing hifi audio.....the frequency response of your radios transmit is around 2.4 kHz unless you have changed your if filters.......you have hifi at 4.5khz and up.. all you have is a fancy mic that has limited eq for that radio.
I know this is an old post, but he’s not direct injected. He’s going into the mic jack of the radio. Direct injection bypasses all of that, which he does not have.
Where did you get Irig from. Give us a list of the parts. And how is the iPad hooked in to the irig or cb. I like your set up and want one also. But just a little more info would help us a great deal.
