I grew up in Fairbanks at the same time this movie was taken, very nostalgic, thanks for posting. I sold the Daily News Miner on the streets for 4 cents a copy profit. Used most of the money to buy maple bars and candy.

@@Bill-cv1xu Every Saturday morning the Empress Theater had shows for kids, the admission was a bread wrapper, from Ed's Bread. The Co Op was right next door and a quarter would buy a bag of candy, jawbreakers, etc. They would show a western and a serial, such as Zombies from the Stratosphere (pretty cheesey). We shoped at Lindy's and lived in their rental house on 9th street. My father worked in Cooper's Hardware and my mother in the Christian Science church, which I think was right next to Lindy's. Such a long time ago. BTW the maple bars came from the grocery store in the Northward Building. I would sell newspapers in places like the Mecca Bar, and the Nordale Hotel etc. Only about 4 years ago I met the son of the builder/owner of the hotel, who's name was also Nordale.
