Ashantis don't disappoint... proud of their culture ... proud to be Ghanaian

I am descended from the Ashanti people and my grandmother told me of the talking drums of the Ashanti tribe. Though my mother tongue has been stolen, I still get emotional when I hear the drums of my people and now understand the need to move my hands and feet in a similar fashion even though I had never seen the dances before RU-vid. The blood of my ancestors reign!

He is doing a lot of communication with the dance. Everybody sitting there understands what the boy is saying. It'a culture. Some of the actions are, let's coordinate and unite. He goes to the king and urges the people to unite and be subjective to the King. Then he warns that you can't mess up with the king. He hits his hands on the floor to signifies authority and power the king has and the power he the boy has as a representative of the gods to keep the king safe and secured. I can't text all. Learn Ghana culture and know it all

Yes he is talking about how you can get scattered lost and confused but with the elders and the leader just like a river you will always find your way and be brought to the family where you will be supported loved and protected.Together we are strong, together we are one, the ancestors the living and yet to be born are one continuous life

Great. Thanks so much. I think you should have a youtub3 channel or something to be explaining these cultural dances. I think it will be good and people like me would love and appreciate it so much. Thanks for the explanation once again

That's normal. When you go to these events you must walk around and shake everyone's hands from right to left. Then you take your seat. That's what people are doing. People also go and leave money for the dancers.

Some of the gestures mean " No enemy can cause your downfall". "You will untangle any rope wrapped around you". "God's blessing will be upon you" and "You will keep all your people together in unity".
