I got mine already and it’s definitely a step up from the old one. It has a bunch of new features. It really makes color grading easier and faster. A great buy for the price. It fits in my computer case for travel. It works with Resolve 19.
Hi Chris, firstly thanks for the comment. Yeah it’s good to hear you’ve got yours and the upgrade was worth it. I almost bought the older one before this got announced and released. Do you put it in its own sleeve with your computer?
@alexblackburnproducer thank you very much for the response. One last question I have, do the wheels work for moving the time line? I have a gamer pad that I use for all the buttons, ie "IN", "OUT", "CUT" Etc.
Good video showcasing the panel, would love to see a detailed video how you use it, screen recording along with 1 camera showing close up what you are doing on the panel that kind of video I just could not find anywhere on youtube. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ranjan, I am happy to produce a video like that, to show the basics on how to use it. I have some work from a feature documentary I can use that is already public so that would work. Maybe do something live? Possibly.
@@alexblackburnproducer If you can do live with multicam then yes that can be very useful as people watching live can ask question which you can then give a demo. I have specific interest in how HDR wheels work with 3 dials. I can list out my question in advance so you can give demo of those features.
Hi there and thank you for your kind words. I’m going to try my best amongst everything else. Next will be a series (I hope) of all the different gear that makes up my documentary camera setup.
Just got mine today. Anyone else experiencing issues with the battery? When I first connected it to resolve and went to the system preferences, it was showing the battery icon with a 71% charge. Then It wasn't showing the battery icon anymore. I then opened the DaVinci Control Panels Setup Software, and it showed that it was charging, which took a long time before getting to 100%. Then when I unplugged the USB cable and connected to bluetooth, it went from 100% to 16% in about 30mns or less. Anyone else experienced this?
Thank you for the comment. The same thing happened to me when I originally purchased my 4k & 6kPro Cameras from BlackMagic. At some point it will ease (I hope).
Great video, but your audio levels are about 14db too quiet. Resolve has an Audio Normalization option on the deliver page that can help with that. Just choose RU-vid as the standard there and you should be good to go!
Hi there. Thanks for the tip Kaur, I’m slowly putting more RU-vid content together but currently working on a documentary feature too. I’ll follow your guidance the next time I release a video. Thanks for reaching out.
I ordered my panel from ProAV on 3/5/24 (it was in stock at the time) and arrived 5/5/24. Sorry to hear that the stock has dried up currently. It’s the same with the BlackMagic cameras when they come out
@@alexblackburnproducer I pre-ordered the panel 30/04/24, CVP emailed me 01/05/24 saying that they didn't have an ETA with Blackmagic on when they'll be getting stock 😭
This is the new Micro ‘Color’ Panel model from BM. It’s replaced the older Resolve Micro Panel. It’s worth the money as the extra features and improvements from the previous designs are a nice step up.
