My HONEST Review of Star Wars: Outlaws! 

Great review. I agree with most of it. Bugs were bad for me, especially with the speeder having a mind of its own. The faces were not great, I didn’t see the real Qi’ra face either while playing. And the AI on the enemies were not the best. But the detail on the planets was amazing. Seemed they copied KOTOR’s idea of different planet environments to show diversity of climates, which is good. I thought Tatooine looked incredible with the rocks, mountains, cliffs, sand dunes. I did think the game was too small though. I’ve played mostly every Star Wars game and “Star Wars Galaxies” from 2003 was way more expansive as far as planet exploration. That was open world completely showing over a dozen planets and moons to explore in entirety, with space travel as well. For something over 20 years later I’m not sure why we can’t have that now (just do a quick google search of Star Wars Galaxies Tatooine map, you’ll see what I mean). I didn’t like how Lukes home was so close to Mos Eisley, in the film the closet city was Anchorhead. Mos Espa wasn’t there but we saw parts of the pod race course. It just felt small to me, after knowing how games were in the past. They just don’t make them like they used to. The syndicates were a lot of fun to deal with. I also really enjoyed the space battles and missions. It was simple enough to control yet tricky enough if you didn’t do maneuvers to stay alive, you’d die. To sum it all up, the game is good for the quality of games we get these days. I’m hoping one day the creativity will increase with these companies, time will tell. I’m still playing and not completely done as I like to complete every side mission and explore everything before I beat the main story. Thanks for the content Hannah!

Great review, really doing a thorough job of explaining why you liked or disliked each aspect. ND-5 is also my favorite character in this game. Top-tier droid! I played on PC and didn't have a ton of glitches fortunately.

I'm excited for the cut scenes. Will there be separate stories to watch?

Outlaws was a half baked game, only made in a few years and rushed out the door. Massive also made the Pandora game that came out last year but it was developed over eight years and is much more polished.

STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER (2019) was an amazing game and it's the bar I hold SW games to, and so far I don't get the feeling that this is even close... I might watch a good playthrough if someone even convinces me it's worth that (sorry, I hate to sound so negative) but this one honestly never really got to my radar, and I'm already past it.... Sorry to speak such a bleak sentiment but that's just one opinion here, with still minimal impressions of the actual game to be fair!!!

I actually like new era star wars, I grew up in the 90's watching old school star wars but still enjoy the new era. Im big into Assassins Creed so the stealth elements will make me feel right at home. Love your setup, so cozy ❤

So far I'm enjoying it! I'm about 10h in & still havn't left toshara so plently to keep busy. Its definitly not without flaws & bit generic & dated in a lot of areas but I'm definitly enjoying the adventure. Original trilogy is still my favorite so glad to be back in that timeline for sure. On your points I'm a stealth player so being enjoying that aspect too. Really enjoying not having powers & being forced to rely on equipment more for this one. I like that your restricted to blaster mostly too rather than carrying a huge arsenel. The detail in world I agree so far been terrific. All feels true to series, altho I do find npcs are bit off putting/inconsistant with voices sometimes. Some feel authentic voices depending on species, others just sound like regular joe which bit weird. Ai in general a bit hit & miss too. I don't have any problems with Kay as main character, I like her & interactions so far, even if not a deep story from all accounts. I'm looking forward to venturing off world & meeting more characters. Also agree the reputation system good. I'm trying to play all sides to unlock all the areas, we'll see how long that lasts lol. Hopefully with some patches game can improve more over time eapecially bugs altho personally haven't hit any yet. 7/10 for me I'd say, will watch your playthroughs after gotten futher along!

I have no idea h ow you review this with out talking about the AI ether you didn't really play it or you just choosing not to mention it... its not something that's able to be missed

Great review Rae! I've not played the game - only watched it streamed, but from what I've seen I agree with everything you've said here. The music was totally a 10/10 for me, which is vital for anything Star Wars, as in the movies it feels like 50% of the characters. Nice work! P. S. I'd love to see you stream Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast (2002), and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (2003) some time. Sure they're old and the graphics dated, but they've cool storylines and music all the same. Moreover, Jedi Academy still has my favourite light saber fighting out of any Star Wars game ever made.

"they promised open world". Well, so what? Anyone surprised that this was actually the truth for a change? They can literally only do open world. They just keep making the same cookie cutter games. Doesnt matter if it's FC, AC, or even Avatar, look at this game and it's basically the same as the previous games, with a mediocre Star Wars paint slapped on. So yeah even mentioning "open world" in a Ubisoft game, is as pointless as saying "hey did you know they sell hamburgers at McDonalds?" l o l

Kay should've been a cyborg to make it more believable knocking out armoured troopers. I personally would've preferred either Aurra Sing, Dash Rendar or Boba Fett in that roll

Great review! It was very informative, thank you! You had already convinced me to preorder the game, but I'm waiting for at least a couple of updates before I play it. Regarding the likeness of the characters, Humberly González has replied to 2 tweets about Kay Vess not looking much like her. On the 9th March, "these images are a work in progress, but Kay was also never meant to have my full likeness!". And more recently, on the 27th August "I loved bringing Kay Vess to life- she is a scoundrel, rough around the edges, broken nose, scars, sun-kissed… She isn’t supposed to have my likeness because it’s a video game and a ✨character✨ How about you dive into a beautiful galaxy and have fun in Star Wars instead?". I think they took her likeness as a base and changed it to their liking because at times, I can definitely see some of Humberly, but not a lot. But I completely agree that Qi'ra definitely doesn't look right in the game.

It's sad that Ubisoft poisoned the well by bribing content creators to play their game early, now every positive review is untrustworthy thanks to them and this shady marketing strategy.

I’m gonna be honest after playing red dead 2 I didn’t want to buy this game cause it’s not as interactive as rd2 I just so past little side quests that don’t mean much besides an upgrade, no real reward for sticking to a specific faction besides the cosmetics ❤🫶🏽
