@@amaracruentus2922 cajin seasoning. I buy Tony Chachere's seasoning blends. Not all stores have them all but he has a few blends that are not as spicy. And I suck at spelling. I finally went and googled his name. Thats a doozy for spelling as its pronounced a bit different than its spell. You'd think living near Canada and vacation there id at least gotten better with my darn French 🤣
I respect One Pot/Pan recipes that don't just go full lazy mode and just throw everything in there at once. Making sure the meat is cooking right and the onions and garlic are sauteed makes a world of difference so glad that's in here.
then is it really one pot//pan? i was just coming to the comments to say this. if you have to take something out + have it sitting in something else while you use the same pan//pot how is it a one pot meal? the point of one pan/pot is not about being lazy. it's about access + ease, especially for folks who don't have a lot or who have disabilities or other limitations.
@@hellaSwankkyToo I think it’s one pot in the way that you’re only using one pot to cook things in. Instead of using a separate pot to cook the chicken, the pasta, sautéing the onions etc.
@@hellaSwankkyToo it is still one pot because you’re using one pot to avoid using multiple and having more cleanup but another thing is with recipes like this is that there are so few ingredients you need to set aside after cooking first that you can put it on the plate you’re going to eat from before putting it in the pan when you need to.
@@hellaSwankkyTooI agree. I've actually seen this recipe on another channel where he doesn't take out the chicken and it's a real one pot meal. He uses chicken stock and heavy cream in his recipe, I made it for my husband and he absolutely loved it.
I tried this for dinner tonight and I’m going to give you my feedback. So it’s not that creamy it make look creamy but it’s not. I recommend js getting heavy whipping cream. Also if you cannot handle spice do not add a lot of paprika. I rate it a 7/10. Also please don’t say I’m hating bc I’m not I ate the whole pan, but I’m just trying to give my honest opinion
It’s delicious 😋 I just did it ❤ Easy and fast and so fulfilling light And in my rang of calories But 1 chicken breast & have leftover for the pasta God bless you 🤍
Thank you so much for pointing out that editing your vlogs/videos a certain way takes away from the authenticity. Perfection isn't everything and as small, trying RU-vidr I've constantly had to remind myself that as people we're different and I can aspire to the success of RU-vidrs such as yourself but the way we do things will never be the same and the people that vibe/resonate with me will and those that don't won't and it's okay. You're such a breath of fresh air and I can't wait to get into even more of your content ❤️ P.S. this is the first time I've watched a vlog this long and it definitely needs you to be busy with something 😂
That looks good - and if you're cooking for a vegetarian, you could simply swap the chicken for tofu : I bet tofu tastes good when fried in Cajun spice mix ❤💕💕💕
I tried making this recipe multiple times, even though I was still learning the new stove it was really delicious despite when I sometimes screwed up and burnt the uncooked pasta looking for something. Other times the milk would tip somewhere else and nearly start a fire. You don’t HAVE to use chicken for this recipe to taste good!
@Princess Moonwalker oh! I found the reply. Go to comments from 8 mos ago. Someone asked for the recipe. She gives all the ingredients & directions. I took screenshots. Let me know if you don't find it.
@Princess Moonwalker Mermaid X. Look for her comment from 8 mos ago. Scroll down to find it. It's not too terribly far down from VegasNative63's comment here, that we replied to. The comment is "Recipe?" I think, there are 4 replies, & one of those is from FeelGoodFoodie with the entire list of ingredients with amounts of each.
The only thing I would do differently is to clean the chicken. I don’t know, I don’t like to eat this white part, is very uncomfortable to me but it looks really good
Here are all the ingredients with the spices! 4 6 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon dried thyme ½ teaspoon dried rosemary ½ tsp dried oregano ¼ teaspoon cayenne 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil ½ cup white onion, diced 2 garlive cloves, minced 8 ounces penne pasta 2 cups milk 1 cup water or broth 1 roma tomato, chopped 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
I’m imagining what would happen if Italians see chicken and pasta. Now I’m imagining what would happen if they see this in Collins (search it up, it’s a chain restaurant that serves chicken chops and pasta together).
I’m for real about to make this tonight hopefully it’s good I just tried it. I don’t know what I did wrong but the chicken was a tough And the pastors dry I don’t think it’s the recipes fault I think I just kept adding too much water
That portion though 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂... I'm sure that ENTIRE first pot portion was made for her husband and someone had to cook a second pot portion for the next person. You can't be serious. The whole time she's cooking I'm thinking, "She can't be serious, what I do smell is a divorce. She starving that man. I mean, unless they're genuinely struggling to put food on the table which is understandable too. 🤷🏻♀️" 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't love the idea of using milk and broth together with all those heavy spices and no cheese. So I'll just stick with my traditional homemade Alfredo sauce. Look interesting almost like you tried to cross, Italian, Cajun and Mexican together. Cilantro is just wrong on top of pastas, I'll just be using on my tacos.
