Why would the OP's husband want her to become a 'homemaker' without children?? That's a pretty big red flag right there.... because obviously he is very arrogant and wants to feel superior to his wife, but her being more talented is a thorn in his side, so off to be a 'homemaker' she goes. Even though it harms his business, and leads to an unhappy marriage and the collapse of his business, the important thing is that his little pride is soothed, that is the absolute priority above all else for arrogant people. Pride comes Above rhyme or reason, above all pitfalls and prejudices, above love and happiness, even above success and money if necessary.
