This week we have a fun collaboration with Christina and Ryan of ‪@TheReclaimedHeirloom‬ where our husbands our doing the painting and we are doing the filming. What ensues is a hilarious tutorial on how not to paint a dresser. We both really appreciate each other's job a little but more and definitely had lots of fun creating this video!

Carlos, I appreciate your taking the risk of showing your learning process. Honestly, this was one of the best videos--it's so helpful to see what someone who is newer to this, like myself, might run into and the solutions--and how adaptable you have to be. And, that even when it seems like disaster--there's often a fix! Also, so helpful to see that no matter how many videos you watch, the expertise is truly in the practice.

You had a bit of a time with this piece of furniture, but the end result turned out amazing and that's all that matters. I've always used a paint guide/shield to paint areas like your frame on the top of your piece. I've also used a piece of thick paper too, in a pinch. Your piece turned out beautiful. Good work !!

I just watched this video again after many months of watching Kacha and learning from her. Poor, poor Carlos! 😂 He seemed to be affected by Murphys Law through nearly every step. I really felt for him but at the same time....😂😂😂😂. Took a lot of courage and humility for him to let us all see this comedy. In the end, though, the piece wasn't just too bad (from a distance). 😊 Loved the whole thing. ❤❤❤

OK!!! Not an easy project with wicker YIKES 😳 Carlos great effort on your part. It sure wasn’t easy to work on such a big dresser. Yes Carlos, that was me saying..no, what are doing!!!! 🤦😵 Not bad for an amateur. That wicker was filthy and a big job for a beginner project. This was painful AND hilarious to watch at the same time. How hard it must have been to not take that paintbrush away..lol. Wicker does do that. It will shrink and get tight again when it dries. Thanks for the smile and warm fuzzies.
