Thank you for opening up the discussion around interracial relationships/marriages. I think another component would be class differences. However, I think when it comes to politics every person is different, and is also important to understand that Black women, and people, in general, aren't a monolith.
Sorry people are so ignorant, you can't help who you fall in love with plain and simple, congratulations and may y'all have a successful prosperous marriage. 🤗

Very well spoken and very well put together you didn't leave nothing off that was brilliant very much needed and on point, because l no someone will be in an interracial relationship and marriage is in the future soon. Thank you thank you and thank you may your love for one another stay on fire.
May God bless your union. Keep the RU-vid going. It's like anything else, the more you do it - the easier it gets. Sidebar, I hope his handsomeness matches your beauty. Thanks for sharing your journey.
These are equality issues that can be your platform, being connected to a political family. As far as children go. I think you should introduce them to different religions and you can voice your opinions, but they will choose or not choose when they become adults. Yes, communication is key. What you are talking about is the reason for integration. In the sixty's when laws were passed, moving into an opposite neighborhood and/ or school, was meant to break down barriers. Well...we still have segregation--by choice. People like being around what's familiar. I personally like being out of my comfort zone. It helps me grow.
Thank you for talking about real issues convcerning politics and race. I care about how they view black folks as a whole, their friends and family. Talk about the realness.
Those old stereotypical ways of thinking is outdated. The World is connecting and people all over the world who have been taught that outdated way of thinking are realizing that besides our different cultures we are all human beings and the color of a persons skin does not define the beauty that resonates from the inside of a child of God's spirit
There is truly a double standard when a black woman married a white man, then when a black man married a white woman!!!! Give me a damn break get over it.The fact is it is not about the skin colour it is about love and respect the person shows you. All the best to you and you future. Bailey Edwards: The old school ideology has been around long before you and I were born. These people who will not accept your marriage and make derogatory remarks are not your friends and, remember, you are in the South. Also, I will never understand how people call themselves Christians and harbor those types of feelings. I suggest you ignore them and disassociate yourselves from them. It's a waste of your time. Continue taking care of yourselves and ignore what other people say. If God does not object to it, don't worry about it and you don't have to worry about them. You married well and jealousy seems to be subject as opposed to prejudice. Of course, they seem to go hand in hand. As long as you and your husband love each other, then live your life and forget about them. Remember, you're in the South. Being from NY, there are all nationalities and very cosmopolitan but like anywhere else, the race card does show its ugly head. Put God first and you won't have to worry about other people and don't let the nay sayers ruin your life.
I don't think your family should be a deal-breaker I believe you love him he loves you that is all that matter and if it was orchestrated and put together by God almighty then it really don't matter who in your family likes him or not. Triple periodt! If it was God who put that on your heart Two Become One then let try to take you two apart. No I would never ever play all because my family don't like him or because they're his family don't like me then I can't get married to him. I would have to say to them knock knock they would say who's there and I was saying Nunya and they will say Nunya who and I say this is Nunya business and I would say this right here is only an A and B marriage and I was saying now C your way out..!!! .LOL. I could care less with Jesus or without Jesus would being saved or without being saved... I could not care any less than to get the opinions of my family. I'm not marrying his family and he is not marrying my family. You understand but yeah you all a few couple. I think sometimes we make a statement like that and it's a cross become real quick without thinking if you love each other I don't really think you meant that statement. I think we love each other very very very very very much you have to have an interracial couple because people can say some stupid things about interracial couples. And today I think it'll Knock-Knock Nunya here LOL anyway have a blessed day and a great and blessed marriage from Teresa florette Clamato
