As others have already said, Don Cochrane is a real gentleman. I can testify that he interacts personally with customers in a very kind and friendly way. The project to revive his family company is evidently something he is very passionate about, and something which is currently operating at a fairly exclusive 'bijou' scale. It's nice, in a way, that this is all happening under the radar among either service personnel or connoisseur-collectors of vintage military watches. But I also think he deserves to succeed at a much bigger level. His company has the golden advantage of genuine historical pedigree, and (so far at least) he has shown an unerring instinct for designs which preserve the historical DNA while also being new and contemporary. I can see massive potential here. If he got some heavy hitting investors on board this could literally end up going head-to-head with names like Omega, IWC, etc.

I like the M series, it's a classic field watch, though Don is playing it safe with 40mm, that's the market, aye! Great interview and sweet shirt, you got there...looks like Tudor😜👍

What is a Dirty Dozen watch in formal terms? For example, IWC's was the Mark 10. So were all of them Mark 10?
@whatsonthewrist
@whatsonthewrist 3 года назад
Hi, Jezus. The British Ministry of Defense provided a list of 10 specifications that needed to be met for the troops. From their IWC continued to evolve the Mark series. Good question. 🙌
