Good evening explorers, and welcome to my revised Into the Radius weapons tier list. Sorry about the sound quality, I did my best... hope you enjoy regardless!
Good evening explorers, probably wasn't what y'all were expecting I know, but I've wanted to get this out of the way for a while. Since I see my original video as a bit of a blemish on my channel. I tried my best to get the sound as best as it could be but it still came out pretty crappy so apologies for that. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the updated tierlist! Also for those of you seeing this the day of upload, we are having a community day playing (as of right now) Tactical Assault and some other stuff. If interested, join my discord! discord.gg/hceNEQS5DU
Cool. I don’t like sks tho, the first time I tried to use it it was hella mid and the irons sucked with only a 10 round mag. And I didn’t buy that much ammo either. Sold it but might buy it back for a poor man’s sniper type weapon
Long over-under double barrel shotgun, my beloved Can you imagine how much higher the sawn-off would be, though, if it could slide into the sidearm holster?
13:10 "So even though the short PP is statistically less accurate, I can still land shots with greater consistency" Good for you for making good work of your short PP lol For real tho, great video my dude, I'm glad you decided to remake it. After thousands of hours of playing this game I can't think of anyone more qualified for a tier list like this despite being somewhat biased. You should do a "loud guns only" run since you shine when it comes to getting into tight spots and having to think on your feet.
High quality video as usual. The fact that the damage of the SKS is lower than that of the AKM, which has a shorter barrel, is not convincing, but I hope that this kind of “game” balancing will not exist in ITR2. I look forward to seeing you make a similar tier list video for the full version of ITR2. From Japan
I do agree, having weapons function as closely to their real counterparts is ideal for a game like ITR. Which to be fair 5 damage isn't a big deal. The biggest offenders are the 7.62x51 weapons which vary in damage from 85 all the way to 180
@@SynthetizardAgreed. Having weaponry like the PP-2000’s 9mm outperform rifle calibers out of certain weapons is not only unintuitive, but it’s irritating as hell to folks who know even basic things about firearm performance. And as you said about the FAL… The fact that it “leaves damage on the table” for no discernible reason, massively underperforming against one of its real life *competitors* in caliber and role makes absolutely no sense. Perhaps I’m biased, but coming from H3VR, where the guns all handle and perform realistically, the gamey logic of ITR’s gun performance really doesn’t feel great. The way H3VR gets around weapon strengths being “excessive” in certain contexts is wide variety in the health, armor and weaponry of the adversarial “sosigs” in the Take-and-Hold and other combat scenes. It never nerfs weapons into the ground for the sake of game balance, it brings the enemies UP to become a challenge for certain loadouts. That +P G18 with a stock and suppressor might be fantastic against unarmored sosigs, but it will force you to go for headshots on armored ones or risk doing no damage at all against heavy armor or ballistic shields. As someone who will have to wait to get a newer computer and headset to play ITR2, I hope they shift weapon statistics to follow more realistic weapon balance. Two rifles of the same caliber and similar barrel lengths shouldn’t vary so absurdly in damage as the FAL and M14 do from each other, among other things.
i just found your channel recently and have been watching your older videos but you just earned a subscribe for uploading this pretty much right when i took a break from ITR to smoke and eat. ima be eatin good tonight
Just found your channel, instant sub. I love the content you make, it's such high quality, and it's the kind that I feel like I can keep coming back to. Keep it up!
Something else to note about the OTs-33 is the mags for them are absolutely EVERYWHERE. I got 8 from one run into Pobeda. While they are usually in red condition, you have a fair chance to get lucky with yellow and they aren't that expensive to repair.
I tkink you should go back to the lizzard avatar. You get better sound, more character to de video and less awkward "what do I do with my hands while I'm talking?" moments
Certain weapons in Scavenger Mod make much more sense, the SPAS 12 for example. I like the manual reloading, and you're able to get it early enough that it's an amazing primary. At a certain skill level, everything is viable and funfactor makes much more of a difference.
And that's what it ultimately comes down to, pretty much every gun is viable in the right hands so your taste in weapons usually comes from how you play the game and how you prefer to approach fights
Good video i agree with most of the tierlist especially the shotguns they can be good for early but late game theres really no use for the shotgun even with slugs with it .
It looks like I need to play with the AUG, I didn't realize it had the progressive trigger modeled and thats such a cool feature After owning the game for years I finally got around to finishing it yesterday, AKs-74u took me to the end of the game but the free makarov behind the last section of the castle came in clutch, i definitely did not bring enough ammo with me
This game should have an LMG, obtained at SL 5, it's just a over fucking powered gun for end game players who just want to shred through ammo and have a blast playing ITR. Mainly used by people who just farm and save up their money till they get enough money for it to just breeze through the castle, or to make fun content for after they beat the game.
I suspect it was probably due to technical limitations that they didn't. It would have to function very differently than the other weapons in terms of loading the weapon and magazines.
I think what kills shotguns entirely in game is the way armor is executed. Buckshot irl doesnt care if youre armored because while it might not penetrate, getting nailed by a spread of rounds all at once should floor just about anything. Enemies in ITR are armored even if the part of their body APPEAR unarmored. This is a serious downfall, as this would make shotguns and buckshot extra useful in late end game as a way to sweep legs and land shots but legs are hard to hit. TFG did a shotgun run and did well, I myself have recorded videos on my pc, if i ever upload them, of using the spaz and saiga to great extent but in STALKER mod which i only play anymore, it becomes a detriment to use them. I feel ziggylata, stuchoo, and the others could have buffed shotgun damage on buck and and gave it a 40% chance to armor pen vs buck to compensate for just how loud they are, and how fucked you are when you fire one because it alerts everything to your presence and location. Armor should never have been a % chance to reflect rounds entirely, but rather a flat % damage resist. I don't remember my IBA in Iraq deflecting bullets lol The M4 is a great choice as 5.56 is available pretty frequently. not to mention the AK weapons require EXPENSIVE upgrades to use most of the attachments, where the M4 is ready out of the box for all attachments and accessories. You left out that part as a basis for it's functional choice over the AK's.
I didn't really factor in the m4s modularity because I typically run my guns without attachments, which that I did forget to mention. So at least in my tier list it doesn't really earn it any points
@@Synthetizard I know lol I'm a regular on your channel anymore, and i try to make it to streams when live. I know you don't use attachments, but that's also due to your particular playstyle. I personally don't do one life runs as I am a disabled vet so i can't play standing up because my spine goes all "nah fam". lol so i play seated. I love the attachments system, so the M4 is both a functional choice for me, and a preferential one as I am partial to it from my years in the infantry. In game I actually use Chucksmods, so I keep a cqb M4 on me, and a ak104 with a rpk drum for when things get hairy. Honestly i wish modders had added more handguns.
I mean chucks weapons (while cool) aren't really anything game changing. Although I'd have to deep dive into their stats to say for sure where they'd land
I actually did try that, but holding it caused the audio to be completely blown out. I need a laptop to help with green screen recordings so I can adjust the microphone settings
THEY ARE FUNCTIONALLY IDENTICAL TO THE OVER UNDERS (the hunting shotgun actually does have iron sights which is nice so it probably would place slightly higher)
dont disrespect my groza!1 its a little funky looking and weird but dont let its look’s underestimate you. Surprising to say, i hit groza shots more frequently with iron sights then i do with snipers. Its so ugly with sights that i prefer to use it without them. Its pointless to use suppresssors on it because it annihilates everything. 10/10 Top of S tier for me
The vest is comfortable to stand in but sitting is a bit awkward. The one I have is an osprey mk 4 plate carrier. I don't have any plates or inserts at the moment though, just some foam airsoft ones to help it keep shape
the best gun is the one that kills the the thing you shoot it at, otherwise known as the mosin edit: actually watched the video... god stalker has skewed my mentality on all the guns, our tier lists are so different. The amount of times I've found a scar and dvl in the castle literally on the last mission of the game hurts my soul knowing "ah cool find, it wont mater in a few minutes anyways"
@@Synthetizard the amount of phyiscal shock I experienced when hearing that P+ ammo makes certain 9m hit harder than anything else, thinking those bullets just are not found ever, or are worth the 10% damage bump (more stalker diff) I will double down on, best gun in base game is still mosin, it causes my bolt to action
Regarding what you were saying about long gun aiming, have you considered asking protubevr for a sponsorship? I've talked to them several times in the past and I think if you did a video review they'd be willing to give you free gear. I know in my case, I hate using two handed weapons without my magstock and provolver haptics, It feels wrong without it.
@@Synthetizard Especially since you have experience with two handed firearms irl, I find the notion that it's cheating... perplexing. To each their own but I gotta ask, have you ever actually used a stock?
@@Synthetizard Personally, I think every VRFPS with two handed guns should have the option of 'pistol handling' for all guns. It would feel way more natural. I tried to make a mod for ITR once to switch all guns to pistol handling but I wasn't able to find in the pkg where the value for whether a gun had pistol handling or two handed handling was.
Hunting shotgun is basically normal double barrel, so i believe it would be in the same tier, maybe lower from his standards because it is only found. But that is my belief.
@@Synthetizard interesting, I’ve never even tried the Spas in ITR so I’m kinda indifferent. It’s never had a place in my runs, though that can be said for all the shotguns.
the sawn off izh27 may be trash in every sense of the word, but it's trying it's best damnit I unironically dont hate it for when you get it, pervo is piss easy (unless you're in stalker mod) and you'll find a better gun pretty quick anyway. I agree with the rating though
also the full length can carry you through factory if you know what you're doing i will DIE on that hill. Throw some sluggies in it and maybe an optic, bring some buckshot for the cannonfodder and you have a weapon that can do both armoured and non armoured on the fly. You will have to bring a lot though. loud as balls
also about the sks, you can, if you're lucky, get a sec 3 rifle at ANY stage in the game. Factory has a metal crate right at the pervo entrance. So, theoretically, you could farm tides until you get lucky enough to get an ak or something with a bit of ammo. Not practical, but another reason why sks is unnecessary. I like it though
My personal strategy that i use late game is I go to the castle until I find a FAL in the close buildings. The thing is a menace… also you missed out on a Rhodesia meme with the FAL
Bro by the time I got to the FAL the timeline in my video editor was about to give my computer an aneurysm, I wanted to add a few more memes but it too like 3 seconds for my inputs to respond near the end
