Do you agree with me?
I have some issues with a game I can enjoy. Sky children of the light is a game ive played for a decent amount of time but sometimes it can get boring fast. Thank you all for your comments. Please check out my later videos that are sky related. Thank you so much. :)

the real issue here is that doing cr is so time consuming that you barely have time to socialise and most of the time its just farming everyday.

The thing that pissed me of the most, was that as an android player I didn't get my compensation for that bug from like a month ago??? and I couldn't do cr for a week or two during the bug. I could've easily bought both the sword pants and all the juggler cosmetics if I had those candles.

yeah! i was so sad my friend wasnt able to get them all. i would have gladly gave the seasonal candles to them since i bought the pass and had extra!

I can highly agree with this. You gotta have to like grind everyday just for the sake of the cosmetics and show off your friends ofcourse, next are the IAP which REALLY annoys of how expensive it was, like for example a single beautiful and unique cape cost $9.99 which you could buy that for an AP rather than buying a single item that cost too much money for a 1 single cape, I honestly rather buying an AP since it has alot of good looking stuffs out there. Now the events, what concerns about the last event is the Days of Rainbow. Now for the Rainbow Cape that cost 175 candles is way too expensive. I gotta be honest it has a really cool ombre color to it but its just looks lazy and off to me since they just used the default moff cape to it. Now for the upcoming Days of Mischief, the Halloween Table is just annoys me like, 33 hearts?? How am I supposed to get THAT much hearts?!? I would just rather buying a normal table anytime for 30. I don't wanna add more some of my rant opinions here because most of them are totally in this video.

@McMari but that's because it's three years of iaps from every Halloween since sky started. You just have to pick and choose what you want! Bat cape and pumpkin were first year, spider web cape and whitch hat were last year, this year it's spiderweb hair and whitch outfit. So next year all iaps possible are gonna be over a hundred. So just don't buy them all

Yes I've had a big problem with the pride cape, it felt so unfinished. Compared to others events like days of bloom which was 77, I felt disappointed and confused on why the cape was so expensive.

You're absolutely right about the new area. I don't even go there anymore when I do cr after I did the first quest, it's just so tiring and time consuming cause it's too big with very little wax and I only have like 3 hours to play sky cause I'm busy the rest of the day, so I never get to chill or actually enjoy the game or the new area like I'm supposed to, so it's becoming more of a chore like you said, just collect wax, forge candles and save for the next event or ts or finish a constellation and I'm getting tired of it like where's the fun??? I only just started at the little prince and I'm already getting sick of it.

can totally relate to friends not playing in sky anymore. I was introduced to the game by my friends but they both stopped playing though I still see them login like once in a blue moon

Sadly thats me :’) i get on and off with the game, sometimes ill say “ill come back!!!” And then log off after 2 weeks then comeback again after a month or two, the game is refreshing only if you take a long break from it, otherways itll get repetetive again

I can't believe this video is 2 years old, this just popped up on my recommended list. I feel like Sky still has these issues, if not worse than it was 2 years ago.. I would LOVE to have more lore in Sky. I love this game so much and want to know more about it, but the lore is just so vague. The theories the community comes up with are great though. I know that this game is about making friends and socializing, but I wish that there was more to do in it. My common thing is: I grind for candles, I get the cosmetics I want, I show them off, I decorate my nest...now what? I want to keep playing the game, but what do I even do? Wander aimlessly around the realms? I mean, sometimes I do that. I'll also sometimes play around with instruments, but that is only entertaining for so long.

Yeah I agree. At the same time, you get to a point where you cant even save candles much because you send hearts to your friends because all the main cosmetics cost hearts. Like most people don't have the time to farm to get the 20 candles or whatever every day. Like i have a couple friends that just started so im one of their only friends so they need me to send them hearts to get like any cosmetics. Its just so hard to save now. With all these travelling spirits and the 200 candle outfit from last season, its almost impossible to save for anything if you dont run every single day.

Farming takes up so much time already not to mention it’s boring af that bringing friends with you to farm just makes the whole thing take longer also the friends you bring always end up going afk and it can get very annoying when you have to open doors and shit

The game honestly feels like a cash grab for TGC at this point, so much hard work for so little, might as well spend money on it to get what you want. No longer relaxing to play, just a daily chore with unskippable cutscenes and loneliness :/

My absolute BIGGEST problem is Sky having either having NOTHING happening or 3-4 DIFFERENT THINGS HAPPENING ALL AT ONCE. I seriously don't understand how they expect us to constantly grind this game everyday trying our best to keep up with all the cosmetics ESPECIALLY when they are limited time (4th anni at the time I write this comment) cosmetics that will or will not come back later on down the line. I hate constantly having to get on and do CR, dailies, events, AND worrying about TS coming by every month. I am by no means a new player nearly coming up to a year playing this game but my goodness it is an absolute PAIN to catch up with something you'd think so simple such as a HEART. Trying to save candles and hearts feels like an absolute nightmare with so many different things to spend it on offering no time to save for good stuff and TS nowadays is starting to feel like an absolute gamble. It took me almost a year just to get some pants that look decent which is the rainbow pants from the DoC event but even STILL during that event I had to grind up to almost 300 candles to get both the pants and cape. Another thing that really annoys me are the new seasonal areas introduced (most of my complaints are about the newest season, season of moments) are not SOLO PLAYER FRIENDLY. Clouds and ways of gaining winged light in these areas are spread way too far and thin leaving you wandering around aimlessly on the ground having nowhere to fly to desperately trying to find butterflies that give you like three wing flaps or literally trying to find ANYTHING to give you light at all to fly. Especially with the newest quest making you travel super far distances it feels like they automatically assume everyone has 120-150 WL and newer players are just getting constantly dunked on having nowhere to fly to because they don't have as much WLs compared to veterans or especially people who luckily play with their friends all the time that just hold out their white candle for inf flying. I get it and understand the new area is VERY pretty but it is by all means an AWFUL solo player experience trying to navigate that area and not to mention the season of remembrance but to a lesser degree.

To me, the devs come off as lazy, greedy and arrogant. No it’s not something they said. But the bugs. I played through a time when the game was full of bugs, the season of dreams. (I don’t know what the current situation of the game is, but I presume it’s still full of bugs) Not only the existing bugs weren’t fixed, new bugs popped up as if they were part of the new update. I used to be a coder, so it irked me even more. I was an engineering graduate and even though I had no practical experience working in a dev team, even I understood they weren’t taking the issues with the game seriously. If there was one thing that was taught to me in college, you solve issues in the code alongside developing new features. But issues, a.k.a. bugs should take priority over new features. They should have solved the issues, because bugs always meant customer dissatisfaction and loss in revenue, but they didn’t. Because the players would rather defend the devs rather than admit there’s a problem with the game. A lot of players stuck with the game even after _repeated_ game interrupting bugs. People who were in the Beta told me there were no bugs there at all. But in the live version, they popped up somehow so don’t be hard on the devs. These were actual words of someone in the official discord. Fine. If I buy that explanation, then that only means one thing, either the devs were tampering with things after the beta was over or something went wrong with implementation of finalised beta files into the live version time and time again. Why was that happening? Repeatedly, update after update? Why was nobody looking into it? And there wasn’t even compensation for such game interrupting bugs. Top that off with ₹1799 tag priced cosmetic presented to you amidst all of that and I was done. Both with the game and the childish community. The devs were greedy, neglectful, lazy, and arrogant enough believe that their work was done when it wasn’t. The community was wholesome and tricked themselves into thinking, “it’s fine” even when the game didn’t deserve it. Honestly, I was looking at some whales and it felt like I was looking at victims of gaslighting. It felt like they were in too deep and believed the lie of wholesome a little too religiously to abandon the game, even with all the issues.

I hated the chevron update Bc ppl were under the cherry blossom tree. And threw off the “economy” some times ppl don’t have time and with the chevrons you spend so much longer on runs and the afk system is terrible. Now ppl are discouraged to cr for 3hrs Bc I miss the old system… it’s sad how many ppl don’t have the energy to cr. Events arnt fun… they should add mini games with special currency for events, to get those event cosmetics, and after if you have extra of the currency they turn to the normal currency after the event has concluded…. I miss the wonders of sky and being hyped for things…

Something that isn’t the game’s fault but still: Whenever i go away from home space in sky, i just start feeling sad Not lonely, but sad The only thing I can do there without becoming sad is playing instruments, I do that a lot because it makes me happy

you're so right I've been playing since 2019 and I've always taken large breaks bc the game is so.. boring and repetitive so many of my friends quit and it feels pointless to play I've been playing as of late now bc the new cosmetics are gorgeous. I just really hope tgc listens to players for once and does more next year... im tired of the excuse that tgc is a small company it doesn't work anymore they've clearly grew

Actually I've been once in the new area 👀 i took spirits and haven't even done the quests yet. and the other day I was talking to these really nice people we had a good conversation and having fun and suddenly my game crashed and ofc when i got online the server was switched. I was so mad, the game crashing haven't been happening for some time and it's kinda coming back ..and it always happens when it's most fun and it is a mood killer 👀 playing this game more than a year is getting boring with not so much neew areas, doing the same everyday. I just do quests and several geyser. almost my close friends don't play anymore.. and when i am online i still have hopes that their name will appear on my display, It's kinda sad. To me Season of Dreams was the best. That was the time i had the most fun in sky, now everything kinda seems gray and uninteresting. Not exciting.

My main problem with Sky is that TGC wants too much and they offer less. I mean there's no literal CONTENT in the whole game. Wake up, do the candle run, exit, same for six days long and then you go die and everything starts again. No new biom, season "quests" are weak and the game is insanely pay to wear and my MAIN problem with pay to wear is that they are have so WEAK looking cosmetics. Everyone can say what they want, but the fact remains. They can't even render that cape, man. Seriously, just look at the aurora cape. HOW THEY CAN'T SEARCH FOR A BUTTERFLY WING ON GOOGLE IMAGES????? The bugs are unbearable on android too, they also buffed the krills. When I started to play Sky, krill could pull 3 WL out of you, now it's 3-6. My friend also lost like 9 winged lights due the stone storm got hit once. They promised us the wayfarer outfit for free, turns out it's an ultimate gift. Bug fix? That was never an option and the game gets the worst out of me day by day. Cheap work, expensive cost. Too much effort for nothing. No new places, I'm sitting on my ascended candles because I can't spend it on something interesting. Everything got bad about Sky: Children of the light. Oh, and my secondary problem is the typical sky youtuber. Shows an ugly AF cosmetic, meanwhile skytuber: "OHHH LOOOOOOK SKYBABIEEESSSS, ITS SO BEAUTIFULLL!!!" If you say you don't like the cosmetics, then prepare for your punishment from the community. TGC is just mean, that's all. Cheap, mean and stucked in a boring pace.

The Halloween cosmetics are nice but you have to pay for the web capes as an example. XP only a few of them you can get with candles and even they’re slightly high on the candle price.

Kinda unfair for the children/ young teens playing the game because lotta the coolest stuff is real money and they would need job.. it’s bit of a slap in the face because saving for candles takes lotta time and in events you just view the items you want but can’t get and tbh that gets tiresome

my problem with sky is the hearts, after exhausting all of my sources (aka- the main and quest spirits) i have never been able to find any other source for hearts other than my friends :/ would be nice to have more heart sources I also get the "Love can't be bought, only earned by hard work and determination" thing but come on!!! 😭

Sky makes my phone heat and lag so much I crash unexpectedly almost instantly, like one moment I got in Valley, I lagged heavily and crashed in the first few seconds of joining.

I think TGC has to reward veteran players who still play, because otherwise they will just all quit. Aside from that I'm okay, but likely TGC plans to make money on veteran players, not on newcomers, so bruh

After the season of The Little Prince I stopped bothering about the cosmetics. The current cosmetics look nice but tbh I don‘t really need them. I wish we could get something that would make us busy in Sky but not with candle runs.. Why not add some cool mini games. We already got so many items, why not give us something that could be used for a mini game that we could play with friends? Also what triggers me is that since the new season Eden looks…. broken? You see that especially when you go to the island of dawn and see the opening cutscene… 😬 I hope they fix it soon. It really breaks the immersion…

I installed Sky: children of the light today and when i open the game, it just show 'Thatgamecompany' logo and then juat crash randomly. I try to reinstall it and do anything but it didn't work, Does anyone know how to fix it?

I stopped playing Sky towards the end of Season of Prophecy. The game used to be so chill back in the day literally spending hours just going OOB with friends and taking silly little pictures in places we shouldn’t be in. But somewhere along the road the charm of the game got lost and it became so grindy and tedious to place. Might give it another shot if it came out on console someday

i understand completely what you mean when you say it feels like all its biggest fans have tricked themselves into liking this game. browsing the sky subreddit and seeing people pointing out very valid criticism of sky- like its pricing for cosmetics via candles and props with real world money, and the hostility of gameplay to new players (like the constant candle running as well as the sudden difficulty spike of eden compounded by the crawling)- only to see other players defend these aspects of the game anyway made me feel like i was going crazy. honestly after seeing responses like "well tgc needs money for their company to survive, theyre a business" despite obviously not needing to make everything so expensive to make a profit, it made me search google to see if there were any videos out there that actually talked about all the issues the game has just to feel sane, like the problems had actual merit rather than just being complaints from a few players. being a new player myself, the amount of bugs and issues ive encountered in this game within the small amount of time ive played is astounding and i genuinely dont understand how the game is still in a state like this despite being in development for years now, even with real players testing features before they go live and a discord server that you'd THINK would promote better communication between devs and playerbase. just listing off a few everyday bugs and issues i consistently see all the time, for example: -attempting to melt dark plants does not always melt them. the darkness will change color as if it's melting, but will not actually reduce in size like it should. -when offering to hold hands with a friend, they will start to mimic your animations right after accepting, making them hold out THEIR hand while the animation for the act is still active. the mimicking of animations _appears_ to be intentional, but i don't think having two people offering out their hands to thin air is. (maybe the animation is supposed to stop automatically once the other player accepts and then the issue wouldn't occur?) -at home, when you view the menu for constellations of the different in-game areas/friends, the appearance of the sky changes to night which i assume is to make it easier to see. but very often, after exiting this menu the dark sky stays while other visual elements are still correctly displayed to time of day. you have to switch back into the menu and back out for it to return to normal. these seem like very small issues that wouldn't take too much time to fix and yet they're still in the game. i guess in their defense, being new, i dont know whether these bugs are old ones are new ones, but the fact that they still showed up at all is very silly at best and irritating at worst. so it really boggles my mind when i see people try to describe it as the best game ever or shit like that in places like the comments for the switch trailer of the game. sky cotl has so many issues theres no way i could ever understand someone trying to genuinely give it such a compliment unless they really were gaslit or tricked themselves into liking the game this much. insane. anyway sorry for that being so long you just described something that ive been feeling the entire time ive seen the playerbase and the real quality of the game and i felt like i needed to add onto it i hope you have/are having a nice day! no harmless game has ever made me so bitter about it before than this

I agree, and everytime someone has a slightly opposing opinion about sky the discord sky players get passive aggressive as well. This is annoying since they claim to not like drama yet try to belittle any opinion not 100% on sky's side, this is a company not some 15 year old kid's school project. I think a few criticisms won't kill them and in fact can even make the game better if they listen but since the player base rather treat the devs like babies and erase opposing opinions I doubt this game will get any more fun than the first time we all played it, which is a shame considering it has the best graphics and the aesthetic is right up my alley. And don't get me wrong I love TGC. Every single one of their games and all their hard work but for people to not allow criticism, it can result in the game not growing
