Good luck with your January TBR Hailey- I hope you enjoy all the books. I also have Emily W Encyclopaedia of Faeries on my January TBR- hopefully we will both enjoy it. The David Goggins book sounds good as does Atomic Habits. 📚💕
I just finished As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson the last book in the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series and loved it. I’m currently reading The Widow of Pale Harbor by Hester Fox and How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry. And the audiobook I have going is The Shattered City by Lisa Maxwell the last book in the Last Magician series
I am not much of a non-fiction reader for leisure, but in terms of Elizabeth Gilbert's books, I enjoyed reading Committed which talks about relationships. 💍
You are going to LOVE The Charm Offensive & Hello Beautiful. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make your top books of the year!!! They are 100% your style!
Ive already read When We Were Enemies by Emily Bleeker and Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross. I am currently reading The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman. This week I will be starting A Magic Steeped in Poison by Judy I Lin. I may get to the 2nd book in the series if not at least started on it. I also want to read The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods.
I had to DNF Family Lore I was so sad, especially being a Latina I wanted to represent! There were just too many povs and unspecified time jumps that I couldn''t keep up with. Nonetheless I hope you enjoy it!
The Charm Offensive is one of my favorite books of last year. Not only is the romance fantastic, and the characters so cute and amazing, but the mental health rep in that book is just fantastic! I was reading one night and one of the characters got into his struggles with mental health and I felt So Seen and it resonated with me So Hard that I just put the book down and bawled my eyes out! Not in a bad way either, it was refreshing to feel seen like that, for the first time, while reading a book. It was just so cathartic! I loved that book so much, I definitely want to re-read it, and I really hope you love it!
Had to get on here and say Big Magic (by Elizabeth Gilbert) is one of those mindset shifts that I didn’t expect. Her writing makes it read more like a fantasy novel in the sense that you never feel like you’re learning a lesson until after you do, and also the conclusion is, well magic. I feel like it would be a great one for a RU-vidr to read. Kinda jealous you still get to do it for the first time ❤
So far i have read Say you swear by meagan brandy Thicker than water by kerry Washington memoir All of our demise by Amanda foody things we hide from the light by Lucy score The fraud squad I read winter garden years agi it's good i absolutely love the charm offensive ❤
