Joe Meek was a groundbreaking British record producer who worked from his home studio at 304 Holloway Road, London, and created number 1 hits such as 'Johnny Remember Me', 'Telstar', and 'Have I The Right (To Hold You)' before his tragic death on February 3rd, 1967.
He worked with The Tornadoes, Screaming Lord Sutch, John Leyton, Heinz Burt, The Honeycombs, Chas Hodges of Chas & Dave fame and many more. It all went horribly wrong on February 3rd, 1967 (the 8th Anniversary of Buddy Holly's death) when he was accused of shooting his landlady, Violey Shendon, to death and then turning the shotgun on himself. But is there more to the story?
