I would never look at this as showing off. A person doesn't invest this much time reading God's word and marking important, meaningful and helpful notes....just to show off. After binge watching some Bible journaling you tube this evening I had to comment on this particular one. What sets your Bible journaling approach apart from many others in my opinion is that you are careful to not cover the words of scripture. It encouraged me to dig into my Bible, and to fall in love with God deeply. Since then, I've done a sermon for my youth group on how to study the Bible deeply. Sis, I know you said that you don't want to put your Bible out there and have people look at you. But I want to let you know that video's like this encourage me and inspire me. They help me a lot. They make me happy that God is speaking to others and that I know He will do the same for me. Ashley, thank you for this encouraging video, I love coloring in my Bible too and expressing praise to Jesus through art and color. I think you should see the new bible as a new opportunity! God’s writings will never get old, and you will never STOP hearing from God. Think of it as a chance to read the scriptures in a whole new light and be a fresh start in learning something new about the Bible.

@@georgewittgen212 I have separate bibles. One for church, a small one for travel and one I journal in. Plus a bibe app on my phone. Bible journaling is a way for me to illustrate times I felt God speaking to me, explaining His word to me. Everyone has their own ways of doing it and their own opinions about it. Some people don't even like to simply highlight verses. It's really between a person and God, what they feel is right.

Are you some holy person? The holy spirit rarely even spoke to the apostles, but you hear God when you read your bible? Whatever cult you are a part of, know that you are a blasphemer. What you've said PROVES how lost you are. Repent now sinner. You do not have a direct connection to God. How dare you elevate yourself above even the most holy men by saying such things!

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 KJV Just to share a couple. I did not say God shares visions, prophecies or anything of that nature with me. He simply guides my walk, my personal relationship with Him, through His word.

WOW! I absolutely love how much time you put into your bible and it just gave me so much inspiration to dive into my own bible. I’ve been neglecting studying in my physical bible and I’ve been spending most of my time on the bible app on my phone. While it is helpful and convenient, I’ve put my phone over God’s word and I need to get back into physically reading the word and studying it. This video really helped and is giving me lots of inspiration to start writing in my bible again and journal :)

The Lord is so good. I feel like your videos really do give glory to God. Whenever I watch them I find it kind of easy to keep my focus on the Lord instead of you guys.
