When I started my curly journey and stopped using sulphates, my hair stopped growing and also started falling so so bad... Took me 3 hours to style it and was sooo exhausting! I wash my hair every day and have learnt to love my curls just as they are. Can't believe all those haters with terrible comments... Your hair is amazing and so are you!!! Greetings from México!!!

Brandi, I had seen your first video with Curl Rhythm and, girl, I raced to my nearest Dollar General after work and picked up the shampoo, conditioner and curl gel, LOVE THEM! My thoughts exactly with the frizz on the crown, I get the same darn thing, but I love the gel. Thank you for your video and hard work.

Hi there. I am very glad you made this video with reasonably priced products first off. I will have to go to dollar general and buy these. Second, I 100% agree with you about doing what everyone else is doing with the curly girl method. Not going to lie: the curly girl method all but ruined my hair. I went from thick curly hair to thin stringy hair. It took me a bit to figure out what was happening. I stopped all curly girl methods. I went back to what I did over 30 years ago: wash, condition, hair in a towel, gel and fluff. I have mentioned this on a few curly youtubers channels. My hair has slowly grown back and filled in by going back to basics. I do enjoy your videos!

Awe thank you so much!!! This hair has definitely been a huge journey. Over the last 18 months, I began taking a specific collagen that has done absolute wonders for my hair! I actually mentioned it in my last hair video.

Using products too heavy for my hair! Sheesh it took me a minute to figure that one out! And not washing as often, my hair likes to be washed a little more often than the method I started out with.

I have tried co-washing, and got bad results, and, yes, used very heavy products, which were not for me. For me, the lighter the better and even the less product overall the better. I also started out applying product in the shower after conditioning on sopping wet hair. It took my hair 6 hours to air dry -- and I would organize my day around that! Now I only apply product to damp hair. Many things that are suggested and that work for others do not work for me.

My latest curly mistake was to cut down on my product use.. to give my hair a break- problem was-my curls were weak and I was forced to wash every other day. When I load up on products.. I get awesome curls and 3 to 4 days of no wash!

It didn't play well with mine back when I tried it in the summer, but now I pulled it out again and it seems to be ok now. I assume it's because the glycerin didn't play well with the summer humidity where I live.

Ohhhh boy! I got attacked in CGM groups on Facebook in the past for posting my routine which contained prohibited ingredients 🥺 I've left the groups ( I was in many) because of how toxic they were. My curls thrive with sulphates lol 😊

What doesn't work for you about "the curly girl method"? I guess I think it's such a broad method, and I don't see what you do now that goes against that method. And what didn't work for you?

The curly girl method was strictly absolutely no heat, no shampooing, no sulfates or silicones. It was EXTREME.

My hair is the healthiest that it’s been in probably 10 years or more right now. And I do not follow the curly girl method.
