With laparoscopy, are you more likely to be able to conceive afterwards?

I got my surgery 3 days ago and already start feeling better. My only issue is so far sleeping at night for straight is the hardest but manageable nothing to worry about it. It is so much better living without Endometriosis🎉 Fast recovery everyone❤

Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Could you maybe explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!

Of course! I’ve been under anesthesia four times, and when they do it, it’s done with a needle the same way as an IV is given. l feel relaxed, peaceful, and eventually a little sleepy, and sometimes a little cold because it’s basically like cold water immediately going into your body so they can give you a blanket. And then sometimes they’ve had me count down from 10 or they ask me to tell a story about something and then the next thing I know, I wake up in a different spot once the surgery is done. They let you wake up naturally when your body is ready, for me it’s usually been within an hour after the surgery is done. When I wake, I feel a little groggy and nauseous. But they can recommend medication for you to prevent the nausea, and then they usually make you eat a little something (like crackers) so that you can take pain medication. They will talk about how the surgery went but they will usually only do this with the person who is taking you home from the surgery, as they won’t allow people to drive afterwards. So someone will need to take you home and then I recommend just trying to sleep when you get home. It’s never been very hard for me to fall asleep when I get home and I sleep usually for 3-5 hours. Once you wake up after you’re at home, the anesthesia should be worn off. Also they won’t let you leave the hospital till they can tell you’re not super loopy anymore. I’ve never had a bad experience with it. One time I had amazing dreams. The anesthesiologist will talk with you through it beforehand to help calm nerves as well! Hope this helps (:

I think its so great you shared this :) I had my gallbladder out before I had any of my children and they told my husband it was going to feel like I had been in a car accident since they blew my stomach up. The trapped gas in my shoulders and back was awful for a few days. If you plan to have children trap gas and constipation can be bad too. I couldn't go for 2 weeks after my 2nd baby. So I also suggest to new moms eat fiber and miralax before delivery. So glad you are feeling better and surgery went well.

So glad I found this video! Hope you have healed well! Endometriosis can be found on scans. I have stage IV deep infiltrating endo (the worst and rarest kind) and it was found on a scan. Whilst very rare, it is possible . ❤

Thank you! I am better for sure. It has come back a bit but not as bad as before the surgery. I’m going to start pelvic floor physical therapy soon. And Wow! I’m so glad they were able to find that. Are you doing better?

@abegalelindo7314 it’s painful but not as bad as before. I’m starting pelvic floor physical therapy soon and getting an IUD which should help - these were recommended by multiple doctors I’ve seen!

I have a question, do you get the results as soon as the surgery is done? Like when do you know if you had endometriosis or not
@ItsSoSarah
