Some of you were part of the group that raised money to get this girl, Makena out of prison. I personally went to Mwingi Women's prison to witness her release. It was the most beautiful scene given that she had been put behind bars for a crime she did not commit. Even after regaining her freedom, not everything worked as expected... Listen in...

This is a sad story. But thanks for bringing it to light Justus. And God bless Makena. The criminal justice system is obviously flawed . How can they put a little girl who has no money in jail for such a crime. It is a travesty, Only the owners should be jailed. She was just an employee. How dare they rob her of months of her young life and put her through such an ordeal. The magistrate should be disbarred and sued.

May God avenge for you Makena. I really don't understand how your former boss could sleep at night knowing an innocent person is in prison for their mistake....I just don't get that extent of evil. Hallo Makena, am so sorry how your boss treated you. My former boss also treated me same, luckly i had the phone no. of the cousin to my boss n came to my rescue. The cousin bribed the officers before i was taken to court. Just forgive the boss n move on i quit that job n am happy where iam.

Honestly, as they say, nyonge Hana haki. Makena if it were possible, you ought to sue everyone involved. Your Boss, the cops, the judge (through the judiciary), the state officer (through the AG's office). You've been through so much and those authorities concerned should face the true force of the Law and know that putting an innocent citizen through this ordeal is criminal, in itself.

Even the arresting officers need to be retrained. They arrested this girl because they were angry the owner was not showing up, nonsense. She should sue KEBS, police, the judge, the state and her former boss

personally...I think it's very wrong to arrest a worker if yu dnt find the boss.. they shd av noted all the mistakes,.take out all the evidence, lock the store, give the worker the letter to take to the boss..let her report to court for charges n pay her fines..... its so wrong to av jailed this gal..
