Hi. I don't understand something about white balance in recipes. Often it says auto and with shift to certain numbers. But when you change r, b values it's not auto anymore but custom.
You’re the only channel I’ve found that swipes between standard and your recipe, which makes the subtle changes really clear and obvious - super helpful!
@@KebsCayabyab is there an app that can give your android or iPhone Fujifilm and Kodak Colours, What I mean is Film Simulation Recipes, so you can enter a few colour settings etc and get Fujifilm and Kodak Colours everytime you shoot with your android or iPhone, I don't want an app like lightroom that charges you every month as I am short of money, so just a one off payment is what I want, I just want Fuji Across and Fiji Provia colours etc coming from my Android and iPhone camera.
Fantastic presentation on how the film recipes change the base image and I love the comparisons on a single photo. You really helped me see the subtle differences in each recipe and this is the best video on Fujifilm recipes that I have seen by far 🙌! My favorites are Shinjuku and Asakusa 😊.
Beautiful pictures Kebs, and nice experiments with the settings. Though I may not shoot in Fuji, but it makes me want to experiment with my Olympus and Lumix on how they may react on a Jpeg setting and perhaps adjust from there. Thank you for those tips.
Just...wow. Brilliant recipes. Your thought put into them, as well as artistic decisions, is ultra inspiring and impressive. Thank you for your wonderful mind and hard work!
your channel is so helpful. easy to watch with such clear and precise points + examples. you have really helped me get started with using my fujifilm system.
What a great find your video is. Very straight to the point and informative. I will be shooting a girl who is beauty conscious so i will have to use the harajuku on her. Thanks
YES! Kebs, you hero! I love the looks here, they are so much more faithfully colourful and stylised. As a Velvia shooter, I am so fatigued with the Kodak muddy-green style profiles that are popular recently, so these are very refreshing to see. I will have to try them. Thank you for this. Surprisingly, after trying them Harajuku and Akihabara are my favourite styles.
Wanted to say thank you for sharing these.. Shinjuku was actually very similar to what I used to color grade my photos.. Now I just use this recipe and use the sooc jpegs!
Thanks for these. Watching this carefully and comparing the different recipes I'm beginning to see just how the various adjustments work. I've never really grasped what +1, -2, changes to R abnd B etc achieved - getting a much better idea now. Off to experiment. Can I make one (critical?) comment - for me, the background music, although well-chosen is a bit loud and distracting sometimes. Just my preference. I really like your videos, I always learn something and come away with an idea or two.
Thanks for the encouragement and critique Martin! This is a valuable input as I try to improve my filmmaking (which is totally different from street photography)! 🙏
Love that Harajuku recipe! I used to love going there and cotton candy and bubblegum is how I would describe the colors of Harajuku. Amazing work with that recipe Kebs! And 4:29 is definitely the best pic of this video. 🔥
Portra 400 is currently my go to all-around recipe, but i found that the results are too contrasty for my taste. I just saved the Tsukiji & Asakusa recipes. I love the subtle colors of Tsukiji and the look Asakusa gives to nighttime photos. I hope to try them out soon!
@@KebsCayabyab here's your film sim in an America (Colorado) nature preserve in the suburbs at Golden Hour and past dusk. I realllly like it. Maybe too much grain effect?
Nice video! I will love to test them out myself :) Two things I'm missing: 1. what are your ISO settings with these recipes? The recipes I know often also depend on a specific ISO setting or a ISO range. 2. What sensor are those recipes made on? The older cameras have limited customization options for the JPEGs.
Thank you! 1) the main focus of the recipes in the video are colors. It should work on underexposed and overexposed shots ( not saying that it's guaranteed to look good 😁 ) 2) made using the X-T2, X-Trans 3. You are right, I shouls have added that somewhere. Thank you!
Very useful 😉 keep it up kebs you're very amazing photographer.. hoping to inspire more people in your passion.. 1st time to watch your video..i already subscribe to your channel and hoping to watch more videos..
@@KebsCayabyab I am shooting with the x100v and just realized that you don’t have recommend settings for dynamic range and a couple other settings. Should I just leave those set to default?
Victor, you don't need to set the grain to strong, It boils down to preference really. Since you don't like the grain, you might want to leave the Noise Reduction to default or even add a +1 or 2. For the Dynamic Range, you can leave it to Auto - mine is auto. Or if you like, set it to 400 if you intend to get shots prioritizing the protection of your highlights.
Love the recipes !!! I just found your channel and directly subscribed !!! Question for you?Are there any way to create such film recipes like yours for the older Fujifilm X10 camera 📷??? Thanks for such a great video
Thank you! I have recipes for my old camera (X70), just waiting to record a video for it. If the X10 is the same as the X70, you can definitely create recipes! There are settings like 'grain' that you can't change but there are a lot of options!
