Honesty is preferable every time - I don’t get why you think being honest or getting upset with dishonesty puts us ex-jws on the side of Satan - those of you inside mostly prefer to cover up everything like with the ARC - how can you not care and standing up for this sort of atrocity while knowing damn well the JWs point the finger at the Catholic Church never mind over a 1000 JW victims in Australia alone, none of which were reported to authorities makes you wrong morally - I think it’s disgusting you support this ☹️ leave this guy alone - he deserves a medal and not your response condoning JW procedures - if a Court in Australia can see how the organisation fails to protect children I’m not sure why you would defend them unless your brainwashed just like I was for way too many years - you need to wake up and try watching the ARC Court proceedings all the way through and then try standing up for JW faith

I do know 2 people who are registered sex offenders and both were decent enough people, I even befriended one of them since we got along so well. Neither of there crimes had victims or were children related. I do believe in second chances and a road of redemption. Definitely a case by case basis though.

@JennyD10 I can relate. My whole family and most of my relatives are still JWs who are super hardcore about it. I’m the only one who left. My JW family refuses to stop holding me to their ridiculous religious rules even though I made it clear I’m not a JW anymore and they can’t hold me to their beliefs. They promised they wouldn’t hold me to their beliefs a long time ago, but it was a promise they had no intention of keeping. Every bad, dishonest thing they do they think it’s justified because they’re doing it in Jehovah’s name. As much as I don’t want it to be the case, I’ll forever be connected to the Jehovah’s Witnesses cult in some way. There’s really no escaping it when your whole family and relatives are completely brainwashed.

They conditioned us to think controlling abusive relationships are normal. It'll always be with us, but doesn't have to define us anymore. I'm so proud of you for moving out of state and changing numbers! Cutting off toxic relationships are extremely tough, but needed. I should do some videos on what I've learned to let go of the organization?

@@KameronFader I cut my father and two siblings out of my life in recent years. But it was because they are abusive narcissists more than it had to do with them being Jehovah’s Witnesses. I actually blame the JW organization for why my siblings are narcissists. Aside from the genetic component being a factor, if a child feels love is withheld during his/her developmental years, it is likely that child will become a narcissist. Growing up, love very much felt conditional. We were constantly told that we better follow all of Jehovah’s rules or else. My father was an elder in the kingdom hall. He was/is extremely puritanical. He would add even more rules to the JW list of things that we weren’t allowed to do that other JWs did without any condemnation. My narcissistic father is also the world’s biggest hypocrite. He was always doing the things he forbid us from doing and did the things he shamed others for what they did. It was obvious he was having an affair. But no one dared to cross my father as he was absolutely terrifying. People were always walking on eggshells around him as the slightest thing would trigger him to go into explosive rages. I was born and raised in New York, so my family would go to bethel frequently. It had a sterile feel to it but it had great views. No wonder the JW organization got billions when they sold the property. I refused to be baptized when my siblings did it and I was never disfellowshipped. I’m actually in good standing with pretty much everyone I went to the kingdom hall with. Every now and then I have lunch or dinner with them which started when my whole family moved to California where most of my relatives are. I stayed in New York by choice but for the first time in my life I was completely on my own. That’s when my JW relatives in New Jersey decided it was the time to start shunning me. I realized they were shunning me when I reached out to them for help and they turned their backs on me. When I told my JW family, they were fine with it. They see it as my relatives’ right. It shows how brainwashed they are. They never considered how it made me feel. I have a complicated relationship with my JW mother. There are certain reasons why I can’t disconnect from her completely from my life. But my communication with her is limited. She refuses to believe being raised as a Jehovah’s Witness was detrimental for me in any way even though I told her many times that it was. She insists I was a happy child and that’s the end of it. If I told her about the JW child molestation coverups, she would refuse to believe it, thinking it was a trick from Satan. That’s how she views anything that casts a negative light on how Jehovah’s Witnesses operate, as she thinks it’s an infallible system. My mother truly believes Armageddon is going to happen any day now. So any problems I may have will all be taken care of when we’re all living in Paradise on Earth.

Thank you! Blaming "Satan" for bad behavior and bad things happening is just a scapegoat. They use him to justify the wrong instead of being adults and dealing with life.

I love God and his son jesus christ but I don't understand God being okay with Lott having sex with his daughters and incest and they'rs alot I never read from the bible cause I was reading the watchtower. Me and my uncle would skim threw what the bible said so I never got the full picture of what the bible actually said now I'm just here like is god real or what?

@@KameronFader I was an elder in 1971, i had visited a congregation in Covington, KY in 71. The Franz family was from in or around KY. We exchanged contact info and when he put out his book he sent me a signed copy. My X wife turned me in to the elders. The rest was all down hill from there!
