My JZX100 Cresta drift car gets uncovered and started 

Fact checking myself on stuff I noticed in the edit: The headlights are from the Cresta Super Lucent, Grande is the equivalent on the Chaser and Mark II. Just to be clear, the ECU rubber hose doesn't go to directly to control the turbo, it goes to the MAP sensor. It's another wire that controls the boost control solenoid.

Paint it white and then let it sit in the elements to develop that classic noriyaro fungus patina

gotta keep the old man style, two tone black and gold or black and grey!

The fact that you have history with this exact drift car is so awesome, sounds like something out of an anime. Legendary drift car from the past comes back to the kid who lost to it 15 years later, and he brings it back to its former glory. So cool.

The empty gas strut thing is actually super smart since it's a carbon hood! I tried to put OEM struts on a carbon hood once, but they were so forceful that they were bending the hood when it was closed.

I've gotta say it's been a while since we've seen you work on a car and Im not going to lie its quite refreshing!

Two tone but different colours would be great imo. It feels like a big part of what sets it apart from other JZX100's. Something like a bright silver over a darker graphite maybe? Or maybe make it a big Silvia and go green over grey

I currently drive a 2000 Toyota Solara and it's painted gold and it looks really good for being factory paint, I would suggest looking over the gold paints that Toyota has done over the years maybe you can find one that suits your car! Anyways good luck on the new build can't wait to see this car out on the track!

i still love the RPF1 wheels because i had a set on my 1988 CRX back in the day. it had a JDM Twin cam ZC swap, HKS turbo kit, HKS "piggy-backs" such as the VPC and GCC, FCD, KYB GR2 struts, Eibach lowering springs, EVERY brace you can get was installed. i eventually put 17" thin 5 spoke ICW wheels and 205/40zr17 tires on it. then i traded it for a 1987 MK3 5spd Supra turbo fully loaded.

if you are going to restore the headlight remember to use a UV seal/protective clear coat over the headlight after sanding and cleaning, otherwise they go cloudy in weeks
