you take falling damage still, but not if you jump when you get hit by a boogie bomb. that jump was probably just a glitch or he didn't get damaged because he touched the window or something...

KFourteen You don't clearly know how it works. Fall damage is not defined by how fast you are falling, the damage comes from how high you are falling. When he hits the edge it resets the falling.
