I gave birth at a public hospital and my experience was the most beautiful ever...From teaching me how to breastfeed, from helping me get up from my c-section...I’m sorry for experience ❤️
Sorry you had such a bad experience mommy, I had both my kids at Netcare Parklane hospital via c-section and the service has been consistently wonderful I'm so grateful.
Hi Guys In light of the special assignment documentary I watched last night on 404 focusing on issues pregnant women face during labour and delivery in our health care system I therefore have decided to do an update addressing my experience in trying to resolve my grievances. Thank you all for your overwhelming support and compassion
yoh! sorry to hear this, i am a medical student myself and my heart is just broken listening to your story especially about the anaesthesiologist and gyne refusing to give you service before payment! :( when did money gain priority over human lives??? and by the way- you can actually don't have to pay the extra 12k, you can speak to a medical lawyer and get compensation for their incompetence.... they didn't write a medical report on your birth coz they knew they were wrong, i see these things happening a lot in the hospital- most patients don't report or sue so it usually goes unpunished!
I'm a midwife at a public clinic and myself and colleagues never leave a patient in active labor. Also sometimes it's really an individual who gives a whole place a bad name. So sorry your birth wasn't as comfortable as possible.
Thank you for sharing your story I have watched this more than 3 times painful I am pregnant myself I am not going there I will ask momentum to watch this video and remove this hospital from our list
I have birth to a stillborn 15 months ago due to a doctor's negligence, he kept procrastinating the due date even though I had made my concerns quite clear, we found out that my baby's heart had stopped two days before his delivery date. On top of that once he was born the Beacon Bay Life Hospital in East London told us that they didn't have the equipment to keep my baby's body, basically after my c-section I had 4 hours to arrange an undertaker to come fetch his body, hence your story upsets me to the core.
Yooh I'm traumatized 😭😭. Thank God that you and the baby were healthy and did not need more of their services. I also think the c section thing was a quick buck plan... Wowwww!! I'm so maddd 😭😭. I'm sorry you had to go through that.
2021... and I was just considering Genesis..... suddenly not so much. Your husband should become a midwife or gynie. He is an angel. You are so lucky to have a man like that.
OMG Mmaneo sorry you had to go through that!! Totally unacceptable, I hope you follow up on your complaint and they take action against that so called midwife. So heartless
I’m so sorry about what you went through sisi and Thank God you’re safe , you’re entitled to your own opinion so don’t mind these other ones , I don’t know you personally but I don’t think anyone would make up anything like this not even for subscribers 😭 it sounds traumatic and I’m glad you didn’t take down this video, just watched the follow up video and you handled everything so well . This video is doing waaaay more than what that 11k could have done for you . And that Zodwa , she’ll get what’s coming to her if she hasn’t already. I love you and all the best ❤️
I was considering them as an option...BUT I was shook at "I need to go and have my tea" from the nurse. WOW!!!!! And they charge so much for their services... I am so sorry that you had this awful experience, but glad you and baby made it out of that place healthy and safely! ❤🤗
This is so upsetting!!!!!! I'm so sorry you went thru that and thank you for sharing this story, it'll help the next person. This Zodwa character will get whats hers.
This is so touching my husband and I I just saw your video and deeply moved and saddened by your experience. The events that occurred actually driven by greed and I’ll show the pure lack of care, lack of compassion and the lack of humanity. It is so sad that the healthcare provider was more focused on profit and motivated by greed and subjected you to agonizing pain. I hope now you’ve gotten you know some situation of healthcare so that you don’t have to come out of pocket. The shocker is that you have to pay for the OR just to use the operating facility that is ridiculous!
Sies Genesis. I felt your pain as a mom its something that I passed thru: bad service from these nurses. God is good you're alive and your baby. Bless your husband!
I'm so sorry you had to go through this, masibulele qha that you and your baby made it out alive. To think that I was actually thinking of ditching Femina for Genesis with my next baby👐🏽. Let me stick with my Femina yhuu.
Yho this is stressful. My midwife, before the new one I requested, was also a nightmare. Told that hun to shape up or ship out. Best decision I made. But nami the contraction were not detected on the machine. Side note there is ALOT that needs to be done with nurses and midwives in maternity wards because sisi if you can't speak up for yourself some of these people will show you fire. Thank you for sharing
I am so upset on your behalf and I hope you will take this matter on. I am so sorry you went through that. Congratulations on the birth of your nana. Love love love the green vibes look 😍
Yoh your delivery was hectic. Remember mine. I was in labour for 2days. I had a very good doctor and she was so sweet. Didn't experience this at all. Mind you it was at a public hospital. Askies cc. Sibonga impilo nje
I’m really saddened about this😔. I don’t need to know you to sympathize with you. I’m really sorry you had to go thru that. I literally shed a tear when you were explaining what happened. You’d think such things only happen in govt institutions. I’m glad the baby came out fine and is still fine. God is good🙌🏾
Am giving birth at public hospital as cant afford private but...I never get that treatment.am staying in joburg by job but when am pregnant I always travel to Polokwane(botlokwa) to give birth.they always treat me fine.
I was just thinking of switching from a hospital/gynae service to the Genesis/midwife route. Yoh thanks for sharing. I shall stick with my gynae and hospital.
Oh my goodness, you went through the most. I gave birth at Genesis and I had such an amazing experience, most of the staff was amazing. 3 of my friends also gave birth there and they had a great experience too. I hope you laid an official complaint against that midwife, wow, unacceptable. I'm also like, you having an emergency, what if the money didn't go through?? Wow
I also had a horrible labour experience my Gynae kept on insisting that I do a c-section even though it was not necessary. Fortunately I'm also in the medical sector and she couldn't fool me by insisting that I have an induction of labour only 3 hours after the onset of labour as a primigravida (first pregnancy & labour). She wanted me to have an induction unnecessarily so that I'd have foetal distress and be forced to have a c-section. I said no to all the above as my labour was progressing quiet smoothly and I had a nice uneventful normal delivery
This is heartbreaking. No apology/refund can take the traumatic experience away,I hope you've gotten counseling or some sort of help to process this because it sounds like it was too hectic. I gave birth at Genesis a few months ago and it was beautiful,it left me feeling empowered as a first time mom.Im disappointed that you got treated this way by them.sorry mama, glad you and baby are physically fine.
I'm so sorry for your experience! I feel like I might have been there at the same time you were. I was there 2019. I had a decent experience. I was assisted by a midwife called Sarah then later by Zodwa. If it's the same midwife she definitely has government hospital vibes. She ruined my birthing experience. From that moment I made a vow to have enough money for my own midwife. The staff midwives generally give off the vibe ba they are just pushing time till it's knock off time. Apart from Zodwa my experience was great there. I think the treatment of cash clients might be somewhat different? Maybe because if you can fork out 30k-50k just to birth there in a private suite with a garden there must be more money in the bank...Overall it's a damn shame how they take advantage.
I am so sorry you had to go through that, shuuuuu I am glad you and the baby survived that horrible ordeal. It is thoroughly disappointing to hear such about Genesis, they were one of the facilities I was considering to give birth at but after your testimony....i think i need to continue searching.
My friend went thru the exact same thing at genesis and she gave me a number for a good midwife who works there but is basically self employed so she sun contracts -I dealt with her and her alone I got my natural birth I wanted .we even ended up doing a spontaneous water north .i didn’t deal with anyone else but her .
Omg girl sorry atleast you are alive and the child .... I gave birth in 2 government hospitals and i have never seen or experienced any awful treatment.
You and here I am thinking I had a horrible birth experience, compared to yours i now count my blessings, yoh girl I am shocked for days mmm.... thought my next child will be in a Genesis clinic but like wow thank you for the review im sticking to hospitals shu!!!!!!!
Hi Mmaneo, so sorry you felt that kind of crappy service at Genesis. 😞 I have given birth twice at Genesis and have never experienced anything like that. The recent time was this year in June 2019. The nurses were super helpful and I could sleep at night with husband on the side while they took care of our son. I guess this is another side of Genesis I never knew.
I just found your channel and am a new subbie thank you for sharing your birth story but am still shocked at what you've been through I hope you sued them for the horrible service.
This sounds terrible. Did you not have a private midwife? I gave birth to both my kids at Genesis and it was seriously the best experience ever. Sharon Marsay was my midwife for both. I am actually legit terrified just listening to your story. I'm so sorry that this happened but i'm so glad that both you and baby are okay...
First praise God you made it, it's absolutely amazing. Second I am not a lawyer but this sounds like neglegence on the part of the doctors especially. PLEASE FILE A LAWSUIT. This could have went sideways real quick.
I’m so sorry you had to go through that, I’d be traumatized for life. I think such experiences are the reason I’m an elective c section type of mom. We should really start appreciating medi clinic/netcare/life nurses more
I’m sorry you had such a bad experience 😔. I also gave birth at Genesis in 2017 and I thank God Zodwa wasnt attending to me. I genuinely think you should lay a complaint or report her behavior. Love your channel by the way ♥️
Yoooh Nooo guys this story and Lapho you think private hospital it's will be better. Thank God for your husband wow guys. I've noticed private hospitals would usually opt for a C-section instead of natural birth first
Wow this should be Genesis review on topic, I always take this clinic as coconut or thee private of private hospitals. I'm shocked and disappointed. You experience scares me, I can't begin to imagine what you went through. My perspective has changed about Genesis
@@Tshifaro_WarriorPrincess Childbirth is just over medicated in my opinion. Even pushing against gravity makes no sense to me. Medicine is important incase of complications and emergencies, otherwise it's doing too much.
