Sharon, this is your best video yet- hands down! Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️ One more thing, there's clearly an improvement in the content you share - taking the one-year break worked in your favor! Thank you Sharon!
I was just talking with my friends at work today about kids and saying how I never want to have kids. I've watched a few labor and delivery stories on RU-vid, and all of them have only served to reinforce my conviction. So when I clicked on this one I was expecting the same effect. Surprisingly,I'm now reconsidering my stance. Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing this Sharon!
I'm really hunched over rocking myself trying to process this story Issa big nooope from me! Any baby fever I had is GONE! But you're so right! Our bodies are amazing! You're amazing! So much respect for anyone who has given birth! Anyway..can we talk about how SNATCHED you are post baby!? Gwarn whicho boss self! ;)
You don't know how this video helped me in 2019,I watched it over and over and the timings of contractions were exactly as you discribed yours,I got to the hospital and in 20 mins I had already delivered my baby girl.Thank you.
Oh my gosh this brought me so many memories. No. 1. You're hilarious {I know it wasn't hilarious then :) } No. 2. I was also in denial. Like my contractions started at 11.00 am n I was at work thinking they are Braxton hicks. Went about my day, reached home around 5pm, around 7pm they were now 5 min apart and I still made dinner but wah! I did not get to eat it. Full on labour at 8pm, I hadn't packed my bag (It was 2 weeks early) so I start packing literally on my knees then went to hospital. I was 3cm dilated. Denial is reeeal. So happy for you :). I love your videos.
i was two weeks late. I used to sleep at a couch next to my door with my bags ready waiting for a labour pain that never came naturally. had to be induced. I was so tired of waiting I wanted the baby to come already.
'The pain was so bad I vomitted' omgggg I'm sure that wasn't meant to be funny but I was cacklingggg. This story is amazing, this is the first video I've seen from you & I love it! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Congratulations Sharon! Love that you understood that your body knows what to do. You laboured like a boss too! I hope mums are encouraged by this story. Labour requires movement. Hip movement which helps rock your pelvis. Loved that water made such a huge difference. Loved loved hearing the baby's cry! Happy for you!
I'm reading comments here and wow everybody's pregnancy and labour is different , I dilated upto 6cm with no pain and nurse was surprised so they induced me and my! That pain is unexplainable!!!! Luckily it only lasted 30 mins and I popped my baby girl, I would say I'm lucky to only get 30 mins of the pain unlike 35hrs of the pain, much respect to all mothers out there!
Beautiful story Sharon. And oooh my.... you can tell a story....felt like watching a movie....i don't know how you ain't in acting.Like seriously. Congratulations for your bravery and bringing life into this world. Indeed you are a BOSS.
Wow!I have really been reminded of my two times in that room.A three year old & a 10months old. Oh the journey! I thank God for the greatest gyn ever! Congratulations.
@This Is Ess funny that I’m watching this today, 08 May, on her birthday. Happy Birthday to your sweet little blessing Aria. Well done for being a mom, and Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday. You are doing great. Stay blessed.
Sharon this is so inspiring, I am 6 months pregnant and just like you I don't handle pain so well I am scared to death but after watching this I feel like it really will be okay...thank you!
I literally tore up when i heard your baby crying for the first time because it took me back to the moment i heard my daughter crying for the first time...maaan after all things i did the whole 12+ hours that i was in labour, her cry was my call back to sanity. She is 10 months now and the those 10 months have been nothing short of wonderful. Thanks for sharing your story. Always a pleasure watching your videos. My day's already made.
omg people stop cutting onions already. 😢😢😢 This was so beautiful. Your story kept making me laugh and cry at the same time. I mean i watch that birth show "ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE" and i still have tears flowing down my face through each birth. Women are phenomenal beings. Our bodies are so magical.
I love hearing birth stories. Theg are all so unique. My water actually broke 'like in the movies'. Only I was not out shopping or something. I was in my bed. The music and baby's cry at the end made this so emotional. Bless. X
This is so beautiful thanks for sharing, a few common things there like when the Doc ruptured your water and the warmth that followed made me remember 5 years ago when i delivered my daughter, Janelle.
I couldn't hold my tears when I heard her first cry. This is beautiful, but also shows us the strength we women have. Thanks for sharing this especially for the moms to be.
This is the most beautiful experience one can ever go through, my baby came on 10th May 2019 at 4am. After hearing her first cry and knowing she was safe and sound...usingizi is what followed...I met her hours later.
And I realized "I'm a boss bitch" lmaooo 😂😂🤣...I've noticed a difference between your pre and post baby posts. You have grown so much and have become so much of yourself with no apologies, yasss sharon this is your best video yet!
I have been waiting all week for your video. You are brave for sharing, my labour was very confusing and involved a lot of dancing, my birth story was all kinds of gross and beautiful at the same time and the stitching part was.... no words to describe it. But I still want to do it again, at least two or three more times.
Oh my God. I literally got chills when I heard that baby cry, rewinded to that part of the paed and got chills a second time. Congratulations Boss-mama on bringing baby Aria safely into the world.
i loved this video so much i usually do not watch videos this long but trust me i sat and watched all of it, even rewinding some parts thats how good it was
giving birth naturally is the most beautiful thing a mother can experience. i was there 3 years ago and when i heard my daughters first cry all what i said repeatedly is "Thank you Jesus" thanks for sharing the video
You just made me have memories of 2012 when my girl was born... Wow, motherhood is great and so fulfilling. Life changing as well, plus hardening... Lol, I can't finish describing motherhood. Congratulations my girl Sharon!
This reminds me so much of the delivery of my son. Its the most amazing experience. That first cry... and when they gave him to me, he went silent and was just staring at me as i cooed at him and cried in happiness. Everything that happened till that moment...was worth it!
Lies they tell...'I am going to give you something to 'strengthen' your contraction' . I was told am going to give you something to 'energize' you. The contractions after OMG!! Your choice of words...'you were loosing your mind' after was sooo accurate. Childbirth is no joke! Life and death situations. On the flip side though the gift of a child such a blessing
I'm not usually a fan of these cos they make me so uncomfortable...but your honesty and frankness is so refreshing. I hate pain too - another scaredy cat here - and as I've not become a mother yet - the little pain I've had so far has been unbearable or so I thought. Thanks for sharing. You've got a new fan.
Birth story well told. Cheers to all of us women who have to go through first-trimester hormonal changes that wreck havoc to our bodies in ways we never could have imagined and yet at the end bring out these beautiful little angels. Cheers boss mama
This is the best story you've ever shared with us, thank you. 😊 It was really hilarious, 😂 especially the part where you were pretending not to have contractions, gold!👌😁 Congratulations!!! 😄
Haha being 5 months postpartum right now I just laugh watching this. My threshold for pain is pretty low and as soon as I knew I was pregnant I started researching for pain management options in Kenya. Thank God I found a hospital that offered this and I am so glad I got an epidural. Baby no 2 and 3 def getting it also.
Hi ess, I just realised we gave birth the same day. I had a little girl too called inaya the 8/5/2017. Labor is indeed the hardest experience ever but also the most beautiful when u have ur baby in the arms. Love to watch your videos.
Hey Sharon, you may not remember me but I definitely remember you ...that sounds like something an old aunt would say lol I was two years behind you in Rusinga, Your story/ experience is relatable (especially when it came to denial) and moving (cried a bit). Thank you for sharing. I pray when the time comes, I'll be as strong as you are.
Sharon, you have "All the Bright Places"!!!...my favorite book :). On that note, can you do a 'My favorite books recommendation' video...pretty please. Btw, great video as always. my comment is definitely misplaced.
That was such an incredible experience. You are a boss for sure. Can't wait to have my own experience. You made me cry when I heard the baby's cry. More life and love to you and Aria.
I'm just getting to watch this......birthing is amazing (when you get to meet your little one it is worth all the gory experience). Love the narration, very captivating.
When I heard youre babys first cry I teared ,how sweet the sound .....am 35 weeks pregnant, I will try remember to record her first cry.You actually have given me confidence about giving birth , just like the pediatrician said am going to suck it up for my baby.keep up the vlogging.....and am suggesting please if you could do a video of the must have items and the not sooo useful things you bought and also another on how you coped with baby the first weeks.Bless you!
Wow Sharon that was amazing.. I actually felel as if I was right there with you... You are so good at telling stories. You never mentioned baby daddy.. What was his experience? Was he by your side?
Hey Sharon, you please do a part two of this😍😊 now on Aria's dad first reaction, how he supported you all through, your parents and friends Plus the post pregnancy like how you were feeling,❤❤so much love.
Patricia Taylor 😁😁😁 whatttt!! He felt your pain more than you did yourself..love❤❤ I wish I get one like that😂😂so he can tell me "babe let's stop there" 😂😂😂
Christine Idaki -Totally! All that blood, tools, baby, umbilical cord, placenta...he called it a 'movie' that's what you see in the movies! Glad we had twins a boy & girl...No More' He gives me mad respect ✊ literally adores me...he just says anything can happen in that room as we all know, only God is our option sitting on that table🙏🏽🙏🏽 My hubby did throw up(in the toilet) after the cutting of the umbilical cord😂
this vid gave me chills especially because i could relate to your experience. my son was born through c-sec after hours of labour due to meconium.... most scary experience of my life. I never wanted kids again. but..... 5 years later, In May this year I delivered my daughter on the 29th. I waited weeks for normal labour but I never dialated even though I had pains. I experienced Braxton hicks too... up until 41weeks I got no labour and the doctors could t wait any longer so we went for a c-sec AGAIN ..... she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. I remember being driven to the hospital at 5am for the surgery, I was crying like a baby. the surgery took place at 11am... and when I was taken out of the ER I was shaking and crying for 45mins before i calmed down and got to rest. i love them both so much.... I'm just butted that I had to experience it at a young age.. had my son at 18 and my daughter at 23
i felt cheated when i found out that what is in the movies is nothing close to the reality...daaamn the experience, wacha tu. All the same being a mother is one gift from God that can never measure to any given by any man. You realize that immediately when thy are born and you cannot imagine or even remember how your life was before having them. Congratulation Sharon, God bless you and your daughter and your family as a whole.
WOW!!!! Sharon that was beeeaaauuutttiiiffuullll!!!! You are one strong mama!!!! Am currently 8mnths along and these already gives me strength and that feeling that am going to be a boss-bitch throughout my labour!!!!! Thanks.
This is really helpful Sharon. I am expecting and I laughed through it and kinda felt a bit anxious when the nurse did her thing. But most importantly your insight (raw truth) has really helped. God bless you and your family.
Oh wow, the whole time I was just watching then I heard Naila cry and just had this warm smile on my face and balancing tears. Bless you and the family 👪
Wah! Aki! Okay. Congratulations!!! You are a hero. Bringing someone into the world is no joke. She was born two days before my birthday!!! May babies!! And her name is adorable. 💃💃 Feeling so proud of you right now... Beautiful!!
That is so sweet! Seems like you also had a rebirth. I think it's a beautiful gift that your daughter gave to you. She empowered you. & thank you for sharing that with all of us. I will definitely think twice about what I let into my mind and body. Thanks so much. Much love ❤️
My! Watching you has brought me memories of my deliveries. (2) . and Naila's cry brought tears to my eyes. God bless u and your family. Indeed, having a baby is a beautiful gift of life and love. enjoy every bit motherhood is the hood in the world.
oh my gosh this is a wonderful video, thanks for sharing. I enjoyed every bit of it and so emotional as well. Motherhood is just a whole other level of love (after all that horrific pain that is🙄)-its all worth it in the end. I can't stop gushing over my baby girl. God bless and keep your child for you. Blessings Sharon!
I got goosebumps too!!!! Awwww Sharon! You have scared the living daylights out of me but I am in awe of you! Thank you for sharing your story, it is scary but beautiful ❤❤❤ Congratulations honey❤❤❤
