Hey Dolores! I had the same fear about not being able to stay still too. One thing that really kept me calm was just reminding myself that they are professionals who do thousands of surgeries a day, and the procedure is very quick! During mine, I would sometimes feel my head and neck twitching from being nervous, so I would just take a deep breath and direct the tension in my body to my hands and squeeze the stress balls they gave me and try to relax my head and neck. They also placed a little cushion under my knees which may help prevent you from fainting. They completely numb your eyes with drops so you don’t feel any pain, but if you feel very anxious before the procedure, they may offer you a Xanax to help. Best of luck Dolores! You got this :)

Hmm I’ve never actually heard of that but I did a quick google search and from what I read, it’s pretty similar to the procedure that I had! Good luck although I’m sure you won’t need it! 😊

@@allysaw I’m getting the Contoura Vision surgery and the doctor told me that Countora is better and wont have halos or glares or difficulty at driving at night, and the recovery is faster an better than normal LASIK or PRK

Jack Hergenroeder there are two kinds of procedures, basic, and advanced. Basic is more affordable and can be about $500 per eye but it’s not possible for anyone with an eye grade of -5.00 and lower. Advanced is custom to your eyes, and comes with a lifetime warranty so definitely pricier around $2000-3000 per eye. I opted for advanced because I know some people who have done basic no longer see 20/20 after a few years and will probably need glasses or another procedure. Long story short, it can be anywhere from $500-$3000 per eye depending on your eyes and which procedure you do, so for me definitely on the pricey side but still worth it imo. That’s fair! The only thing I’m experiencing so far are dry eyes but I definitely had dry eyes before lasik so it’s not surprising. I believe all those complications are more common with the basic procedure, but when you do advanced/custom it reduces the risk of that. I do not experience any halos or star bursts luckily, and I see perfectly fine at night! But thanks for watching and sharing your opinion, I totally get ya!
