Thanks for sharing this. George looks uncannily like my Tula who also lives in IL! I wish I had the heart to foster a dog… if I did I’d never let it go and would have an unhealthy pit bull collection. So glad George is being so loved by his forever family!
@mayfaynezzz

The fact it was so hard to let him go proves you were the perfect foster family for him. You loved him so much and gave him so much, well done! I remember reading that when you foster a dog that has had a bad past or has behaviour issues and you work with them, the moment they are a happy, healthy, well adjusted family member is exactly when you know it's time for them to move on. It must be such a difficult job but incredible. Thanks for all you did for George!

Let's remember that Zak and Bree are not only angels to these rescue dogs he trains but ALSO angels to all of us that have a rescue dog with issues to help with our bonding, training for our pets that we LOVE so dearly as well. I've learned SO much from Zak and Bree doing this series as my American Bully girl had so many similar issues as George. Our training this spring and summer had been so amazing and I LOOK forward to more video series from Zak.

I watch his show every saturday and bought the book ru-vid.comUgkxGQVgV21bQ7B9b9duQ1ByImyT9xHbjOKq because i like his method. He's very talktative in the book about his dog training experiences with several different breeds over the years. When he does get to the training chapters, you need to read more slowly, take mental or written notes and try to apply his advice to your pet. That's where i'm at now. Another review is in order aftet i've trained my blue mountain shepherd with brandon mcmillan's method.

Two days later, I met this Staffy mix that bears a shocking resemblance to George and I'm now weeks into training and adopting her. Definitely enjoyed this series on a super personal level, to say the least. And as a former Husky owner, I'm looking forward to the next one too! I had my first experience with a foster pitbull last year after our pit had passed away. He was a very crazy boy but a great snuggler. He had never been in a house before and his favorite thing was to race up and down the stairs. We had him for 3 weeks and it was definitely a bittersweet goodbye as he went to his new family. You did such a great job with George and because of the work you did it gave him a new life. Can't wait to see your next video.

I’m so touched and inspired by your commitment to George and your ability to let him go… I don’t have that skill set… to bond with a dog and let them go to a wonderful home so I can heal and bond with another. Incredible story and I love the series format. How you aren’t on Animal Planet or some other network is truly beyond me. My pup Tula (who looks remarkably like George, who was rescued from a trash bag in a dumpster as a puppy, and who still, at 2, thinks shoe laces are the best thing to attack and play with… particularly when crossing busy streets) lives in Chicago with me. We hope you had a great time in the Midwest and good luck with your next project!

Thank you so much for this (Series) work you are doing. I think you're really helping so many of us who have a little bit of training knowledge / understanding under our belts underscore the importance of things like consistency, duration, distance, distractions, etc. And the way you flow from one task to the next has been super important, sometimes I can get so rigid. Also, with sweet amazing George, you avoided so many potential reactivity issues that I know I had with my rescued ridgeback pit-lab mix. We had to say good-bye to our guy a month ago and we're still very tender but I'm really looking forward to our next dog adventure. Thank you both for this inspiration.

Yaaaassssss!!!!! More more!! I am addicted to this series!!! Your work with George was incredible. As a mother of Bully breeds myself, I know how trying it can be to, not only train these handsome devils, but deal with the prejudice of other who see them, and immediately assume the worst. Bully breeds are incredibly smart, and they want to please you. Unfortunately, they often fall into the wrong hands, for the wrong reasons, and become the stereotype. George is such an amazing boy. George is so smart and so lucky to have had you find him in the shelter and help him find his forever home! So glad he seems to have clicked with his new owner! And I cannot wait for the next series! The teaser definitely has me ready to see how you transform this new dog! Thank you for taking us along with you as you train dogs! I have learned so much from you! I hope that when I have my own house I can also foster dogs, and maybe even get my own!

I love this series. It's so sad to see you two let go of George, but what a gift you gave him and his new family. I'm excited for your next pup! Thank you so much for doing this, and for your life's work. You've helped me so much with our lab (just turned a year old), as you've helped countless others. Thank you!

You have done a more than amazing job working with George. It is great to see your tears and emotions at letting him go. It truly shows the love you have for him and for dogs in general. I've not seen that emotion or connection with other trainers.

I am soo excited you guys are continuing this format. I have learned so much from most of your videos when I had gotten my corgi. A few months later I ended up with a ten year old, not really trained, un-socialized and overweight lab and these videos have helped me not give up. I have had some success when there are no distractions but once outside I couldnt control her. George showed me that loving and training a dog is not easy and takes time. Thank you for this series as it has made me a better dog owner.

Thank you for helping these dogs. They all deserve a chance be with a forever family. Too many of them just need a little training that not enough people are willing to learn.
