I love how the XB fits on most chairs. Quick and easy to work on just about anywhere.

Its a very chilled out review for sure - you should check out the audio levels for your cut-ins though bud! I'm waiting for my Cooler Master Box to arrive at the moment. I've bought the corsair H100i which should fit in the front cooling panel.... (I hope!)... but Ill let you know.

It will definitely fit, I've seen it done many times on oc.net

Honestly the larger the CPU heatsink the slower and quieter the fan can be, the Cooler Master 212 Evo is just a good price and gets the job done, also changing the front fans to 140mm helps cut the sound down as well.

@b0nEsp100 11 лет назад
Hey man nice setup! would it be necessary to add two 80mm exhaust fans at the back of the case?

Its 2015 and my build is really similar and still chugging along. 8320@4.4Ghz XFX 7870 @ 1050/1300mhz Thinking about upgrading to this case cause my antec three hundred has horrible cable management and I always liked test bench horizontal setups. This case seems like it really would need a modular PSU though, so I might just splurge on this and a solid Seasonic full modular to replace my aging non-modular TX-650 (which although it says corsair on the box, its really a Seasonic). Good video, wanted to see how much room was between the 2.5" cage and the 5.25" bay, solid work m8.

As soon as I turned this case on, I'd decided the 120mm front stock fans had to go as they (were) far too noisy. So I've ordered 2x Noctua NF-A14 FLX 140mm fans, but I've put them both on the inside as I will be buying a 240mm radiator with a dust filter for the front mount. Best, and most interesting looking case I've ever owned 10/10.
@speedytech7
@speedytech7 10 лет назад
It's funny you mention those NF-A14 FLX fans, on my newest build (I didn't like this one's internals) I use NF-A14 PWM (same fan different driving signal) for my main intake. I really like them and they pair nicely with my H220's NF-F12 fans in terms of noise and style.
@ShallowDepression
@ShallowDepression 10 лет назад
speedytech7 Other than the crappy internal fans, this case is great. Going to buy an NZXT RGB LED controller for added idiocy soon (:

Just built a PC in one of these cases in 2020. Brilliant design, if a little larger than I was expecting. Only criticism is getting the front panel off I broke one of the tabs. It was a used case though and was very stubborn to get off.

Great video! Do you think I can fit 4 hi-end GPU in this box? I know it will hold 3 but not sure about the fourth one?
@speedytech7
@speedytech7 11 лет назад
Not bad, 140mm fans in the front certainly help with noise vs. airflow issue that presents itself. Overall though, I would say you can only do better for cooling if you are willing to buy a case that is 2x the price.
@speedytech7
@speedytech7 10 лет назад
This case is a bit deceptive, it is basically a case that is slightly larger than a HAF 932 scrunched down and with handles. So you have to decide if the handles will make it easy enough for you to make use of it. It is however a great example of a test bench.
@stephencb79
@stephencb79 10 лет назад
Looking at this case for a mobile Hackintosh recording studio set up. Worried about noise. What fans do you suggest to silence? Do I really need such an expensive cpu fan to keep it quite? Thanks in advance.

I have used AMD for quite a while and if you are planning to build an FM2 system you might want to think about using the dual graphics capability, find the most powerful dedicated card that is compatible with pairing to the GPU in the APU. The FM2 CPUs use the Piledriver CPU cores so they are relatively good, they will bottleneck more powerful GPUs but are more than good for light-medium gaming and video editing. They stay pretty cool so you won't have to sink money in a heatsink. PM me for more

I recently got the same board and was considering the same case but I was worried about two things cooling and noise. Are those going to be a problem?
@Photonees
@Photonees 10 лет назад
I might buy this case, put 2 GTX 780's in it and and Corsair H100i watercooling. What do you think? benefit in noise? read another review that said the case is pretty noisy. Im gonne put it next to my tv for gaming :)

Hey nice build I am doing a similar one. Idid want to ask since you said you have used Amd for a while, what is your take on a Fm2 system?
@goodfella69
@goodfella69 9 лет назад
hey man, you would recommend this case? Thanks.
@speedytech7
@speedytech7 11 лет назад
No, it was actually extremely quiet once I changed the stock fans out for some Corsair AF140s. And the extra airflow from then made it stay pretty cool (for an AMD processor). I found that the 8350 was just a hot processor in general, so I couldn't overclock it much with the Evo cooler. My new i7 is far faster and cooler which leads me to believe that liquid cooling is probably wiser for the 8350.

Hi! Great vid!. I have one question! How much clearance do you have between your gpu and the frontal part of the chassi? Do you think the clearance is bigger than 60mm (2.4'') ? I'm considering this case for a buid with a Asus R9 280x with a swiftech h220 for cooling, with the rad mounted at the front but i have some doubts about the clearance between the two! Thanks in advance

Great vid! Few questions, Hows the case holding up? I had a meshed Cooler Master, actually rusted in 18 months. (I work in horribly Hot+Humid enviorns) How is the dust resistance? (No filters on the case right) Thanks!
@speedytech7
@speedytech7 10 лет назад
The case is holding up fine, it is now being used to contain my HTPC/Server. The mesh they use is a steel one that has been coated in a Teflon like paint, but I live in a non-salty climate so I never had the old CM ones rust either. Depending on the fans you use the dust can be minimal or extreme, I have very strong static pressure fans in it plus it sits on a wood floor with no carpeting (dust kind of skates along wood floors and catches on anything with suction or a rough surface). I have to wipe the front mesh off every week or so (it turns into a wall of dust), and I make sure to clean the whole computer out every 2-3 months. Honestly the case keeps the bulk of the dust from my super dusty home out of the computer. As far as protecting the computer, it does that well, but it gets dirty doing it. Hope this helped you out a bit, ask any questions you may have and I'll get to them as quick as possible. TL:DR : Yeah, it's doing well, gets kinda dirty but keeps the computer safe.
@akshatrajan
@akshatrajan 10 лет назад
Thanks! It helped a ton. I ll work on keeping positive preesure in the case. May throw in a few aftermarket dust filters in to be double sure.

I was thinking of getting a hyper 212 evo for my fx 6300 for over clocking and was wonder if u have any suggestion
@speedytech7
@speedytech7 10 лет назад
All I can say is, a Hyper 212 Evo should be more than enough headroom thermally for a FX 6300 but a closed loop cooler is a quieter option to think about as well.
@edwarhys1
@edwarhys1 10 лет назад
should be fine , im only saying that as i have an FX-6100 with a crap Zalman cpns5x overclocked to 4.5Ghz , max temp 49-50C just realized comment is 8 months old of well lol

Would you recommend this for a first time PC build? I spend about half my free time at my parent's house and the other half at my girlfriend's house, so if I'm going to be spending 1500 goddamn dollars on a computer, then I want to be able to move it between locations. How much safer is it to move a pc in this case compared to, let's say, Cooler Master HAF XM?
