Your ability to unravel the rather chaotic tangle of foliage in the photos and weave a tapestry of form, colour and value is astonishing. Your interpretation of the conifers is particularly inspiring to me as I walk my dogs in a pine forest and often wonder how I could possibly try to represent them on paper.
I really love this work. You obviously are skilled at drawing to be able to achieve this. I am interested to know what kind of paper you use for these with watercolour and pen? 0:02
I am most grateful for the possibility to be inspired by your great sketches, Lois! I love the play between the image of clusters of leaves against the dark background of tree trunks. Oh, the sketch with the girl’s figure was great. The conifers had some character, too! Thank you!
I imagine the time you spent on these was vast because they’re wonderful 🖌️‼️🖼🎨. There’s one that lends itself to poetry, as it seems to weave itself into a plaid.
Thank You So Much Sharing Your Projects with All of Us Lois!! Nature has its Own Beauty, and You are a Master at Capturing it! Please have a Joyous Day and Week Always!!💕🌷💕
Such delicate yet intricate pen work. It’s quite lovely. There is absolute beauty in everything and it’s so accessible to gather inspiration from it. There is locally a redbud tree in spring bloom with the most lovely twisted trunk and expansive network of branches. I am inspired to capture it on paper after this video. Thinking about trees and nature brings me back to a book by the late Roger Deakin called Wildwood: A Journey through Trees.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your very lovely sketches! It’s very creative and so pretty as well. Your one painting with the girl looks like a children’s book illustration…love it! Subbed and liked! 😊🌸
@@mynaturediaries4402 thank you so much, I’m so pleased you enjoyed the video. I wanted to be an illustrator when I was young, but have only recently got back into art back in 2018. I’m hoping to get my nature journal up and running again very soon!
