Eager to see you make caps! I recycle zipper pulls & cords/elastic from athletic clothing.

Great idea to reuse cords and elastic! 👌🏻 I have made some caps already and if you want a sneak peek of two of them I showcase them in my latest video (How I Plan To Make 2024 My Most Creative Year Ever). A longer dedicated video will come later on this year. 😊

Same! I am so picky 😅 As long as I can sort out the tension on my machine I will get onto this project very soon. 🤞🏻

When jeans/pants have a “broken” belt loop, but are still obviously new & with tags, it’s typically because there was a “defect” on at least one item from the lot (ie, broken zipper, uneven/torn seam, missing/misplaced button, etc…), and the lot didn’t pass QC inspection. Sometimes, the entire lot can have the wrong size label, so always make sure to try them on. Companies will just donate the entire lot as a tax deduction, or sell them by the pound to resellers.

Thank you for sharing! That makes total sense. I often see donations of several of the same items in thrift stores (like the caps).

Oh, a local Youtubber! Another reason to follow you with attention! By the way, Charlesbourg is in the subburb of Québec city. ;)

Also: probably more a local tradition, but a lot of catholic churchs sells clothes a couple days a month in their basement. You have to check for it because it's not all of them, but nowadays it's easy to find most of them by searching second hand clothes on Google Maps. Those place are also cheaper than Value Village and the profits stay in the community. Tips: always bring cash, they don't accept cards.

Haha thank you for educating me 😅 I mainly know the island of Montreal in this province - but I am looking forward to explore and learn about Quebec more in the near future. 😉

I think you want to stop posting because of the low views, but I hope you will continue so that we can see this angelic face.

Did I understand you correctly? Your husband is going to be a Dad. Which means you are going to be a mother? Congratulations.

No not yet at least 😅 it’s a bit of an internal joke between a group of friends whom we went to some festivals with. But hopefully he will some day be a dad (and me a mum) 😉

I loved that yarn! I'm looking forward to seeing the hat you make out of it. The tip about the curtains is a good one, I never thought about how that fabric would feel against your skin. From now on, I'm going to be more aware of that. My tip is to check out the ugly bridesmaids' dresses. The styles may not be all that flattering, but there can be a lot of decent fabric that can be made into some great projects.

@@jackiejames4551 Great tip! I will have a look at the formal dress section next time I am thrifting. 😊
