MO! I got the entire collection yesterday and was so happy it was wash day. I LOVE IT!! My hair looks so juicy, it felt like SILK and I know I am doing something great for my hair. I can't wait to shampoo and style my hair again and I don't know which product I love the most. If I had to pick one it would be the treatment, it is AMAZING. All of the products smell lux and I enjoy catching a whiff of my hair because it smells amazing. God Bless you and it's still true, MO KNOWS HAIR!
I have always loved the way you emphasize overall wellness (exercise, water, nutrition, getting an annual physical, etc.) as part of our haircare, and I wish more of us would take that part seriously. Putting the work in for an overall healthy lifestyle really pays dividends for all of our beauty goals: skin, hair, body.
Mo left no stone unturned. I love how she points how that genetics can determine the RATE of hair growth. That's encouraging to hear because if I just learned how to maintain the health of my hair, I can eventually see length retention. After being no relaxer after 14 years, I'm still struggling with length. My ends are my nemesis. Even when cutting it extremely short, I'm still seeing these dry ends no matter what I use. Those Aveda products are pretty expensive. I'm thinking, maybe it's my diet and product use. I'm not financially sound yet to get to a natural hair salon. So, I really want to do this on my own.
You got this!! If you’re not sure there to start, the Elasticity Treatment and Curl Primer will be the most helpful for what you’re describing… to keep the ends from drying out.💗
I received my products, and I am in love with the entire line. I am a 4c girl, and I have done several wash n go with your new line. My hair has never looked so amazing. After being natural since 2011, I finally mastered the perfect wash n go using the same technique, but different results. The definition is beautiful. Thank you and MO knows hair. 💯
I’ve had my products for about 3 weeks, and I’m in LOVE! I just used them on my daughter’s tailbone length hair. I absolutely love the elasticity restoring treatment. My daughter’s hair felt like silk after using this product! I loved the first line, but I absolutely love this new line.
Thank you Mo!!! A couple of days ago I went to your old videos from about five years ago when you gave detailed steps on the upkeep of your hair. I use to follow it years ago but I fell off the wagon, now I’m trying to get back on my healthy natural hair journey. Thank you so much for this video and your new products.
@@MoKnowsHair this is true and I will. Will you do an update video on your monthly hair routines, like hot oil treatment, protein treatment, elasticity and deep conditioning? Btw, congratulations on your product line🎉🎉🎉. I will definitely check out your line!
So I got mine and I have to say the scent!!!! Its like a light lavender meets a light vanilla 🥰…Its not overpowering and I only noticed once I was fully done with styling meaning each on their own were lightly scented and I got the full smell only after I finished. Next I love each product I purchased especially the gel….ma’am hold on top of definition on top of hold! You really did tour thing on the new collection and Ill be sire to send you photos of my progress 🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Okay, Mo. So I’m back! Over the years you have blessed us with incredible content that is very informative and I always learn something. When I first watched this video, I picked-up on your technique of using the Tangle Teezer to distribute the primer. Girlfriend! I tried that with a primer I had, similar to yours, and all I can say is, “Game-changer.” People don’t understand that there are levels to this natural hair game and if your technique and in some instances your products, have not changed, then you are doing yourself a major disservice. With love, thank you for sharing!!🥰 P.S. Something tells me that we will soon be seeing you in Target!!😉
Been watching your videos for some time now. Decided to order your products and they are great! I have long healthy hair and I still can see the improvement after 2 washes now. Thanks for the hair education for women of color.
I only got the elasticity treatment to try as I was only looking for a treatment product but I am so pleased!! It makes my hair look amazing after every wash day! I am definitely going to try more of the collection!
I loved your products when they were in Sally’s. I received my order a couple days ago and my wash day was today. Wow just wow. I literally was saying wow as I rinsed out the shampoo then the restorative treatment and I couldn’t stop touching my hair 👏🏾
Thank you so much for knowledge!! Your a breath of fresh air with helping us achieve healthy hair. The Unbrush has definitely been a game changer. Keep the videos coming Dear Heart!!
I must say I never found a brush I liked much less loved but this brush has been a game changer for detangling my hair and just brushing through my curls cleans easily you're hair is goals 😊
I’ve had low iron for years and recently found out my vitamin D was significantly lower than normal. No wonder my hair falls out like no tomorrow 🤦🏾♀️. On top of this I don’t trim my hair often. Definitely gonna try and get it healthier again.
Great video Mo I look forward to getting your products and growing out my hair to be healthy my hair is damaged and I’m wanting to grow out with 2 strand twist using only your products and products you recommend can you do video on how to do 2 strand twist style weekly and how can I slowly trim my damaged hair if possible. I’m so excited to use your products and I must say I’m so so proud of you it brings happy tears to my eyes . I love binge watching your videos and learning thanks for. Sharing with us your knowledge . May you continue to be blessed and successful 😊
This video was so helpful. I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize the primer didn’t come in the wash n go package so I used the curl potion w the gel. After shampooing and conditioning, my curls were so defined but once I used these 2 I had some clumping but after I diffused, I’d have more volume and frizz. I’ll try just the gel when my primer comes in the mail. Aug in NY is brutal with humidity.
NY humidity and water is DIFFERENT! I always had frizzy hair when I lived there so don’t let that mess with you! Try sitting under a dryer instead of diffusing and see how the gel and primer work for you or just the gel. Sometimes you need to not layer and dry it still.
@@MoKnowsHair You're welcome. Oh ok. It's just that in the past, no matter what I tried, I could never get past around shoulder length. Right now my hair is at lower neck length, on its way back to shoulder length because I cut damaged parts off. Put I wonder why does type 4 hair always likes to go go only to shoulder length alot of the time?
I bought your line to try a wash n go with. I have tight coils and shorter hair (almost shoulder length) and my problem is that my curls get super flat and frizzy after going to bed and I have to redo my head with more water and gel every morning. I sweat in my sleep sometimes so I know that's where the frizz comes from but a little water and gel fixes that but for the flat curls I have to pretty much refresh my entire head. I saw a comment on one of your other videos saying it could be the hold of the product so that's why I ordered your gel to try out :)
Hello Mo! Just received your products and completed my second wash and go ever! I am loving the new line!! My wash day was so easy and smooth. My are is low porosity, high density. How can I protect my hair at night? The length is between my cheek and chin. Can I do a pineapple or just use satin scrunchies to stretch it out?
So glad to hear you’re enjoying the products! 🙌🏾 for bed, try making mini pineapples… so the crown hair in a scrunchi and the back half in a low pony/scrunchi so you aren’t stretching it too much. Or scrunchi the top and leave the back loose and bonnet over it.
My first wash day with your new products was a success!! It’s like with each product I applied my hair felt better and better. I was truly blown away and was exclaiming with joy in the shower 😂. I followed all of your easy steps and recommendations and my results were glorious!! I’m around to wash day again and was curious if you had any additional tips for humid climates when the humidity is consistently above 90%? Was thinking I might need a little refresh in between as I loved my definition days 1-4. Or do you recommend anything on wash day to help with that? Thanks, Mo!
90%??! That means it’s just WET outside… that’s going to be hard for any product to survive so I think you are doing amazing to get to 4 days… pull it into a bun or something and don’t stress it!
Just received your products & they smell divine! Can't wait to try. ... What kind of hairspray did you use? Is that also in the works (hint-hint)?!😉...
If I was good at hair videos, I would upload my 1st week. Enjoyed the 5/8 products I've tried this far! I'm still trying to get the primer amount down. I love the scents! I'm on day 4 of a WnG and have a good amount of coils, but also a good about of frizz. Hair still feels good, just not presentable, but nothing a satin headband can't fix. 😉
Love your videos so much Mo! I’ve been watching you for years . 🩷 what advice do you have for woman who have to style their hair everyday in a pony tail or bun? I am in the military so that causes me to style my hair everyday in sleek buns or pony tail . Braids are so expensive nowadays so idk what to do .. please help 😭🩷
Make sure you’re using satin ponytail holders to lessen pull out and release the bun every night so you aren’t applying too much tension around the clock! Deep condition every week and make sure you clean your brush and replace if bristles are leaning/split.
Whewwww that’ll be hard because there’s no one way to do it… depends on shape and you need really good mechanical dexterity and spatial relations to not end up lopsided. Cutting is hard, that’s why they spend the most time on it in hair school!
When using the elasticity treatment, I found it a bit drying. I remember you saying to adjust the length of time the treatment stayed in your hair based on your porosity. Is that still the case? I believe I have high porosity and live in a place with hard water.
It’s probably the hard water. Try installing a water filter shower head! Brita and others make them… they are easy to install. That will help all of your hair and skin products respond and absorb as intended 💗
I swear my wash n go's only look good on the first day T_T The second I wrap my hair up for bed and wake up the next morning my hair is stuck together and my curls are pretty much destroyed and the only way I can fix it is to redo my hair all over again.
If you’re using products with strong hold they aren’t going to sleep as gracefully… that’s likely what’s causing it to stick together plus the weight of your head. You can try flexible/medium hold like the ones in my collection for more longevity.
Thank you for responding. I love how you answer every question in the comments :) I have been using strong hold gels for the definition but my hair never survives the night so I'll give your collection a try. Your tips are elite.
Beautiful work as always. Do you have any recommendations on where to get a good quality satin/silk scarf besides the beauty store? The ones that I’ve been getting my scarves from are not great.
Hey Mo, thanks for the tips. I was wondering if there's a reason why some people's hair tends to get thin at the ends as their hair grows longer, even though their hair is healthy and they get regular trims? Also, is there anything that can be done to prevent that from happening? I appreciate your knowledge!
It could be internal breakage through the mid shaft… the hair on the ends is the oldest you have and it’s just more fragile. Over time it can break down easier… it needs the most love from deep conditioning and low manipulation!
@@MoKnowsHair I've been doing well with the low manipulation, but I admit I can be more gentle when detangling, especially towards the ends. And my ends can definitely get more love from my moisturizer. I really appreciate your response, thank you!
Hello! I just received your primer and smoothing puddie to try this wknd. I have a major frizz issue on the front of the right side of my hair and want to desperately get rid of it. Any suggestions? Lastly, my hair is much mire thicker in the back of my hair than the front. Do you know what would cause this and/or how to correct this?
Is the front frizz chemical or heat damage related? Using the elasticity restoring treatment weekly will help! Also, it may be something you’re doing to style regularly that’s giving you trouble in the front. Try to do less tension/brushing if that’s the issue.
Thank you for replying. I use heat twice a yr but I do have color on it. I do 3 strand twist instead of wash n go’s bc the frizz was worse when doing so and I band my hair at night. But, I will monitor how I style to see what Im doing wrong and I will def try your elasticity product. I am also excited to try your other 2 products tomorrow . Thanks agn for the suggestions 😊
I received my new products and love them so far. I have a question my hair is shoulder length but shrinks. What's the best technique to put it up for night. I'm thinking s not long enough to pineapple it unless l use a scrunchie. My hair is also mixed grey is there anything l can use for a sheen ?
Try pulling the crown hair into a scrunchi and leaving the sides and back out, cover with a bonnet. Mizani HD shine is what I like… it’s linked below the video! 💗
Gorgeous! I normally air dry my hair; nevertheless, I am interested in purchasing a good blow dryer--diffuser that is gentle on natural hair. What are recommendations? Thanks!
First make sure you don’t have any metabolic deficiencies (physical/bloodwork), then reconsider how you style them and what you’re using, less tension, scalp massages, satin/silk scarves only and my Scalp Clarifier every week for washday! 💗
I’m not sure what to recommend since I don’t know anything about your hair/situation. There’s several playlists on my channel with styles and tips with different models. Take a scroll through and watch a few… it’ll give you some ideas and inspiration!
The cleansers and conditioners are great for every type! The stylers will depend on what you like… for example, the Smoothing Pudding can be used as a hairdress for sleek buns/ponytails.
I know taking care of your hair will help with length retention if that's your goal. This content creator is the only person I've heard mention genetics in relationship to length of hair.
