Problem is if you hit a bump, your hand gets out of control momentarily due to the bump. The robot limbs then get out of control momentarily due to your hand control, which in turn causes even more jerkiness in the ride.

Crushthesis is awesome! He's slow and can move and crush things. I would have a little agitation if I were to maneuver the device.

Getting closer to that Alien mech suit that Ripley used... And now I see you mentioned it. Pretty cool.

Maybe it's the Altair 8800 of Mechanical suits. Certainly exciting for us who fantasize about such syfi machines. But besides many improvements in design to be $ practical... adding computer auto modes for walking or running would certainly take mental stress off the operator just like autopilot in planes or cars work.

Critical Observations: Why are the feet so small? Seems like it would be more stable & able to right/climb and generally traverse if the feet were "better", so larger in all dimensions, maybe with clawing ability? The Propulsion: Lithium Ion....kewl, its green, but does that limit its overall power? Lets give it some BEEF for the successive designs (diesel electric for example) and use heavier hydraulics (think like from KAT earth movers). I know, I know $$$. Lastly, the walking. Seems like it should be (read, eventually) not up to the driver to "figure out" walking. That should be automated, programed, and balanced by gyro's & computers keeping it stable, upright and safe. A human operator even with a Neuralink-like quick connection will always be playing catch-up with gravity acting on the "mech". In later variants, hire programmers & smaller scale roboticists (DARPA-like) to automate your walking/locomotion.

We just need Boston Dynamics to build one. If they haven't already.
