Ich habe mein erstes MED-EL Implantat im Dezember 2020 bekommen und mich sehr schnell zu einer weiteren Implantation entschieden, weil mich das "neue Hören" schon nach wenigen Wochen vollständig überzeugt hatte. Das zweite Implantat wurde im September 2021 eingesetzt und seither hat für mich ein neues Leben begonnen.

Kann man Rondo 3 in Russland kaufen??? Bzw. aus Russland bestellen??? Gibt es eine Möglichkeit mit Ihnen auf Russisch zu kommunizieren??? Dankeschön 🙏

You call it success, yes maybe. But in my defense, it's a such failure of not inventing fully invisible cochlear implants after having this much technology.

Hi there, thanks for your comment. We have good news for you: MED-EL is already working on totally implantable cochlear implants (for details see: www.medel.com/press-room/press-list/press-details/2020/10/19/first-surgeries-ever-in-europe-with-a-totally-implantable-cochlear-implant). However it will take some time before the first devices will be available in the market. Kind regards, Barbara

@@medel when do you think the totally implantable cochlear implant would be available? I am scheduled for a med-el rondo 3 in June of 2022 and maybe I should postpone until the new technology arrives. Also, if I get a rondo-3 system I presume I would need another surgery to switch to the fully implantable version when it becomes available? any additional information on timeline would be very helpful. thank-you.

Hi there, thanks for yor comment. Unfortunately we cannot give you an exact release date yet. There is absolutely no need to postpone your cochlear implant surgery. The current generations of cochlear implants are able to provide you with excellent outcomes. It will take several years before the TICI receives market approval, therefore don't lose precious time in getting a suitable hearing solution. Kind regards, Verena
