Took me 60 years to learn to forget the past don’t dream of a future and to live now - in this moment, enjoy what’s going on now. I’ve become at peace and happy! I try and enjoy each moment - love your calming videos. Thank you
I was once a rejected mum, lost my job n lost my dad who was my greatest support system. When I got to my darkest time, I discovered your channel. It lifted my spirit while giving me the kind of peace i can't explain. Just your voice, creativity, ability to thrive in the simplest of environment inspired me. Now I have a homestead, job back and a happy daughter. Thank you dear beautiful Isabel. I am here for always keep it up. Much love from Kenya 🇰🇪
Hi Isabel, love your videos. I own a bakery. If you want any advice I’d suggest if there’s a town with farmers markets or similar just start with a stall. It’ll give you an idea of how much work it’ll take, and your profits - and it’s much cheaper than forking out money or a loan for a premise etc. some people find that turning a passion into something they do for profit, especially baking because making 12 of something compared with making 100 can become quite monotonous. After doing the markets for a few weeks you might find you absolutely love it and then feel more confident (and look better to the bank to show that your idea is actually profitable), you might find you just love doing the market once a week and just keep doing that rather than open a premise which requires you to be open 7 days a week, or you might find you just want to keep making baked goods for family 😊
I totally agree. I loved designing greeting cards and opened up an Etsy and ebay store as well as took on a local store. I was so thankful that my cards were so well received but after several months of trying to keep up with the demand, fulfill orders and keep cards readily available I got burnt out. It was no longer a passion for me, it was a demanding job. I gave it all up and my passion for it died😢
I never comment but my god, your color grading has gotten out of this world. It’s so beautiful and your filmmaking has just gotten so much better over the years and it’s really awesome to see your progress. You’re a phenomenal film maker and I hope that even if/when you decide to leave this house that you continue making videos even then because you’ve fostered and mastered such a beautiful art form. Congrats and stay warm this winter, dude!
I can't get over how talented/gifted this woman is. I caught myself with my mouth hanging open at my laptop, as she was baking and giving such wonderful advice at the end. Goodness Gracious!!!
Funny, I was literally writing exactly that into my journal: that we always want, what we don't have and forget to enjoy the things we DO have! Then I saw your Video and it feels amazing how the timing always hits on point. We are all collectively connected. 💫 May everyone everywhere feel happy & free. ❤
Not only -and accurately defined as collective- but for me as an inner man within spirit and soul...I SEE THE SYNCHRONISTIC beauty contained in all of this.
I just noticed how many subscribers you have, Isabel. What a wonderful achievement, but your videos are incredibly good and you’ve earned your success every step along the way. You’re one of the best creators and I’ve enjoyed following you for a long time. Thank you for sharing your life and your growth with me. You’ve been a true inspiration. I’m truly looking forward to your wedding, because I know it’s going to be beautiful. You’re an artist in everything you do and something tells me the wedding will showcase your many talents. Stay well and happy, my dear❤ and again, thank you .
Wow.... Isabel, ypu are in your 20's with this frame of thinking, living in this moment, embracing all seasons as they come... I just turned 60 January 2023 and went into last year finally in that frame of mind. I stopped complaining to myself about the weather, the holidays and just felt so much better living in those moments. I felt that I was just 20 something yesterday... In my mind, I still am... Life is fast.
I'm in my eighth winter in a tiny house in Wisconsin. Try adding a circulating water pump to your lines, I've gotten through -30 degrees multiple times without frozen lines.
Isabel, I encourage you to follow your dream of opening a bakery! I have dreamed for years of opening a little bistro/coffee shop/bookstore situated next to a lovely bakery! Alas, I’m nearly 70 and have come to terms (almost)with letting go of that dream. Time passes so quickly and looking in the rear view mirror can be a lesson of regrets. Consider it girl!
If the investment in a brick and mortar bakery is overwhelming, you could always start from home and sell at Farmer's Markets or advertise delivery-- or start with a food truck! These might be some good business starter options that seem less risky financially. Best to you!
Wow, your words about worrying about the past and future really resonated with me. I often do this and am unable to be fully present in the moment, and your words really hit home for me in this moment. Sending love to you❤️🫶🏼
Truth as I have done the same for far too long .. Isabel's so spot on words have deeply resonated with me as well and I will visit often for a reboot .. As she said it perfectly ❤
Winter allows us to reflect and to gather all the appreciation we have for the things we love but are forced to wait for. It teaches us patience and gratitude. Enjoy the learning when you're able so you can utilize that wisdom when life comes knocking. 😉😉
Thank you for this video. For a while now, I've been dreaming of the day I've got my own house in the middle of nowhere. While oftentimes I "want it now", I am grateful that life is making me work to get there. Your experiences provide lessons to many people. While living in the mountains is a beautiful goal, it's not the finish line of life. Especially when we are still so young. We will always have goals and aspirations, but accomplishing these goals is not going to set us free, until we set ourselves free. It's a theme you've explored in your videos a few times. And while it's easy to say it, it's the journey of a lifetime to surrender to the present. To everyone reading this: Love and lighten, keep on being you!
Isabel ❤ You’re nearly at 1M subscribers. You’ve touched so many lives and give us long form content that doesn’t exhaust us. It uplifts us. Thank you for that. I am proud of you! Stay warm, sending you sunshine from The Florida Keys. 🏝️
I really needed to hear that. My mind has been drifting to all that I don't have or what's "wrong" when in reality just 2 years a go I was praying to be where I am now. It just goes to show how our minds wired for survival do not know how to be happy, not even when we get what we want. Thanks for being such an inspiration Isabel. 😇
The greatest invention ever in the history of our planet is Indoor Plumbing. You can live without a furnace, chop wood for a fire, no electricity you can light candles go to bed eary etc... but a consistent flow of sanitized water is a must. I lived off grid while remodeling a house. No water, heat or, electricity. The best day of the whole project was the day we got running water, a toilet and tub. Its more than ok to think you would be happier with indoor plumbing because its TRUE😊
Does anyone know what happened to black? Her other cat? I was sad when I stopped seeing him and then saw she got another. Of course I love this kitty too! It's just that as an animal lover I worried about the other cat. And on another note - Isabel I'm ridiculously GRATEFUL for your videos. They always bring tears to my eyes because the peace and immersion in nature you get to experience is a true gift. And it makes me so happy to know how thankful you are to have such a gift. And I do acknowledge that no matter how beautiful the life you live is, I know it takes a lot of work, skill, and challenge to live this way. More power to you. Love your videos and I LOVED the beginning with the owls, the night, the water, the crickets, wow.
It’s like your words just slapped me in the face.. I had this overwhelming epiphany and sick feeling, and I’m 58 listening to a young lady half my age! You are so right xx
"The only real thing is what you are experiencing right now" hit me like a ton of bricks. You are a wise young woman. I wish I had had such insight in my younger years. Thank you for saying it out loud!
😊Isabel begins my week again. Happy days. It's such a trip to watch you in the snow while I wait here fir the latest cyclone to hit our coast. Nature is wild and beautiful!
Been awhile since a video, hope all is good with you and logan, your videos give me hope for something better and peace with in myself, they have a big positive impact on my life, and cause me to not look so much on the material side of things, ty for enriching my life so much
As always, your wisdom belies your chronological age. I'm sitting in my happy place now, having watched your beautiful cinematography and calm, peaceful words of wisdom that, judging from the comments below all of your vlogs, resonate with so many people regardless of age and walk of life. I am in awe of your goddess-like, self-assured stance while you express your nervousness before calmly stepping into the freezing, rushing river. Strong and confident, yet boldly authentic and courageously vulnerable. You are incredibly empowering, inspiring, creative and thoughtful person, and I am very glad to have subscribed to your channel!
Thanks Isabel for that most thought provoking video. I am actively trying to do just that. I spent 10 years caring for my mother, the most incredibly caring loving woman. No regrets on that. But now I find it hard to move on and let go of my sadness of her passing. This is 6 years on and I know that the past was difficult but human nature loves to stay on pause. Hugs 😺😺🇮🇪🇮🇪💚💚🍀🍀😺😺
Love is eternal and everlasting and the ability to live with love and care for yourself is the most important thing for you in this process of healing and honoring the wishes of your mother. She would be so honored to witness her daughter as a healthy and secure person who is recovering well and enjoying her life with love and contentment. You will find that she is so much a part of your life regardless of the circumstances of her passing. Energies can't be destroyed by death. Her connections will always be present and available ❤ Celebration of your own life is a very important part of your journey. Remember that you carry the power of love in your heart and soul always. Talk to her and do things you enjoyed together with a feeling of gratitude and renewed attention to your own personal journey with creative passion and delight. She would be so proud of you to shine on with your life unfolding in the mystery moment by moment. Celebration of the many different blessings that you have experienced in your life with the energies of reverence for the process of getting back to the joy of living. ❤
Thank you so much for your wisdom for answering. I'm watching from Dublin Ireland and have been following Isabel for quite some time. You sound like an old soul and I too feel like the old soul caught between two worlds. However I now want to thrive in this world till my maker wants me back. Hugs to you. 😺😺🇮🇪🇮🇪💚💚🍀🍀🍀🍀
@@angelamurphy3331 You will thrive! Focus on living by doing things that you enjoy and have an interest in. You have many different talents and have a clear understanding of the importance of creativity and nurturing. Follow your own personal journey with creative passion and delight. Take baby steps. No need to hurry. Remembering that you have been blessed by the love that exists in your life and it is a rare gift that you were able to spend the time with your mother and to help her with this sacred position of the care giver and companion to give her the best way to go through this process of letting go and passing with loving kindness and peace. You have created a great blessing for you and your mother in the care of her needs. Now you have to give yourself the love and care that she would desire for you. Find the joy of living and do things for your happiness and health. Laughing and crying both give us the endorphins that are beneficial for our health. Please keep the energies in place for the betterment of your life and your continued love and light to shine on your new beginning with a strong heart and mind that is always looking at life with enthusiasm and joy. Don't let the gift of love and life pass you by. Sing, dance,be creative and make decisions for the pleasure of being alive with the limitless possibilities. Enjoy and have a wonderfilled New Year!
"The future doesn't exist and it probably won't happen the way that you want it to. And the past doesn't exist anymore. And I think that the moment that we let go of where we feel we should be, the expectations we have for our life and really just this feeling that something needs to change in order for you to be happy, once we let that go, we let go of so much suffering. (...) Our mind does that: it tries to make up excuses as to why we're not happy right now. And once we let go of our expectations, our suffering just vanishes. And we realize: all that we have is this moment here right now. You're never gonna get this time back. (...) All that we can really do is appreciate this moment." Thank you so much, Isabel ❤
Hi Isabel! 👋🏼 What if instead of a bakery, you did like a bakery on wheels? A food truck!! You could sell what you make as you make it. Seems like a lot less start up cost and less initial commitment to see if you truely love it and what areas sell the best. Post on social media where you will pop up next. I bet you would have such an immediate following! I follow a few local food trucks in my area. Either way, good luck!!
A tip on kombucha/cider exploding: when you are filling your bottles, also fill a single plastic bottle to the level that you have filled your glass bottles (this will be a discard bottle). Since the plastic is softer, you can push on the sides of the bottle and feel the pressure of the air on the inside. Once the pressure/carbonation has built quite a bit the bottle will be a lot harder to indent/press on and this will be your pressure gage for what's happening inside the glass bottle. If the plastic bottle gets really firm, time to toss your buch into the fridge!
Moving onto the next thing is the evolution of life. There is really nothing wrong with that. Having a bathroom will make you very much more comfortable, but not necessarily any happier, and therein lies the difference. It’s okay to have wants. It gives us all something to strive for. Happy Sunday little lady. Love the dress.
What about adding in to the tiny house…bathroom with windows to that awesome view. I liked the comment about the farmers market….and online orders? I keep waiting for you to hand us a piece of the bread…I’ve got my butter waiting ❤
I'm not sure what's happened but I get the feeling that Isabel might be moving on. The videos are well produced but she seems... lacking enthusiasm or not authentically excited about the channel. And that's okay, nothing lasts forever.
Oh,😊 Isabel, I totally understand about needing space especially in the winter when we have to be indoors more. Your dress turned so cute! I love the fabric too, the little blue flowers. Yum, on all the food. My husband was very impressed with your flour mill and your doughnuts cooked in coconut oil. Well, first I have to learn how to make fermented bread. Thanks so much. Loving your videos. Blessings!
Her bravery to swim in the extreme cold is endlessly amazing and unbelievable to me. I can barely imagine going for a walk in a shorts and tshirt when it’s below 70
From beginning to end! So beautiful & so inspiring. I’m so impressed by all the creative & amazing things you say & do in your videos. I’m so encouraged by how you express your wisdom to encourage us all to let go of expectations & be in the now. You make something so profound like letting go sound easy to do! You seem to have been on a personal growth journey towards what appears to me as self actualization! I love it! You’re amazing. You inspire me so much. Thank you Isabel ♥️
She almost certainly buys them or downloads free ones. She usually makes sure to turn them upside down but at 07:07 you can see a piece of pattern in the background that is made with a special program and is intended for different sizes. I wish she linked the patterns in the description.
Hi Isabel, you should most definitely start a bakery!!! You're cooking/baking is absolutely magical, you bring such a unique perspective to preparing and presenting food, one which would provide a much need counterpoint to the current food service trends.
Hey Isabel, I'm curious about the temperature you set in your fridge to let focaccia ferment for 20 hours. I'm experimenting with the perfect fermentation setting for my own focaccia recipe. Keeping it on the counter is so unpredictable due to varying room temperatures (and a bit of predictability would be great in my hectic life as a new mum). Overnight fermentation in the fridge hasn't given me the rise I'm looking for. Maybe a 20-hour fermentation like yours could work? Would love to know more about your fridge temperature settings! Thanks in advance x
Something I've learned over the years, is to just stop and breathe in the moment. It's great to have goals and it's a good idea to plan for the future, but it gets stressful and can become overwhelming.. Taking that time, to just breathe and enjoy where you are is so important, look at all the things you have done, and be proud of those things... Just breathe and love yourself.. Blessing to you, much respect and love
I have no words to describe the amount of joy your videos bring me! Thank you for your wisdom, you have no idea how much it helps. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
Live for the now moments, none of us know how long we have on this beautiful earth. Your dress looks so adorable and comfy. The cinnamon twist bread looked so good, I wanted to reach into the screen and have a bite. Thank you for showing such yummie recipes. I need to try some of the soups. You are blessed with a lot of great talent...savor the moments. Looks like baby cat is loving her home in the woods.
Can you switch up your content a little bit it's the same thing each time you put out a video the winter and the sound of the this and that I enjoy watching you cook more than I do listening to the same content i'm not trying to be mean but I just feel like you're not putting a lot into this why don't you talk about your wedding plans what's going on with that like interesting things we all know what the winters like cuz we all get a winter most of us anyway it's really enjoyable when we watch you put together all these meals you do such a great job cooking and creating recipes
I enjoyed your channel while you were building the house …but more and more, your channel just seems staged and fake, for the most part…would love to see how you really live day to day…chopping wood, your trips to town in the snow..instead of tea making in the freezing weather in just a sweater, or prancing through the snow looking like little red riding hood.
Isabel you are such an old soul, you are wise beyond your years.. Your videos are outstanding, your message is always calming and loving. Thank you for sharing your extravagant life with all us. Yes, extravagant, with all that magic, peace and quiet around you! We are so blessed to be a part of your creation. Much love Isabel ♥ Love your food creations and your lovely dresses. So cute!
Dear Isabel.....I understand the effort in creating content. The month between new posts has discouraged me from anticipating (any) new content. Best to you, and I'll only be checking in every 60 days or so from now on.
Hi Isabel, I made fermented drink a few weeks ago, and one exploded as soon as I tried to open the tip. Then to avoid waisting the good stuff, I added a piece of cloth to the tip of the bottle, and put the lid on. Nice video🌺
I love your content Isabel. I found your channel just a month ago, and I was going through one of the hardest times in my life. Watching your videos (binging literally ever single one lol) was literally the one thing that brought me happiness and peace during this rough time. I appreciate your authenticity and as someone who's watched years of your life in just 1 month, I can honestly say you have kept true to yourself the entire time and I have so much respect and love for the special human you are. Keep doing you, it's magic.
I am 28, a super hyperactive human who never hears or sees anyone because I'm living way too fast and I'd never seen any problems with it until recently when my brain needed peace but my body kept being so fired up at all times and it literally makes me sweat. Your videos have always brought me peace and now that I'm teaching myself to physically slow down, they feel even better. I'm also documenting all of this for my channel. Trying to enjoying without rushing to edit it all when it all starts feeling like work instead of enjoying art.
Living in the moment. While imporvising a drum solo over a good vamp (riff). That keeps you in time while improvising, is the most fun skill, (to develop a good inner clock) is the best skill I've learned. With other players playing in the moment. All anticipating what eachother will do moment to moment. While making everybody else sound good. Same thing with good chefs.
00:16 - You are Snow White! Wow... but seriously you look like Snow White with your red coat and lantern running around in the snow. That's really cool.
Isabel, please open your bakery. You are so beyond talented and your passion for creating and making food is so inspiring. Not just any food, but food with fresh, earthy and real ingredients that you so lovingly embellish and create. The world needs more of your kind of special right now.
thank you for this video. you said some things that really resonate with me. I have created a beautiful home for myself, but been wanting to have my own house and garden and property for so long, thinking once I have that everything will be perfect. I feel like I'm always chasing the next best thing, I'm always trying to improve my life in every aspect and by doing that I totally forget to enjoy what I have. if I'm always wanting, there's little time for being. I needed to hear that. I need to hear it over and over again.
Dear Isabel, Thank you so much for this beautiful video! I love you so much. I just celebrated my 77th birthday last week. You are so much in the present. No worries! You are so ahead of your time! I can’t wait to see your wedding! Thank you!
Hiya Isabel! Long time follower 1st time commenting. I absolutely love your content and watching you & Logan is a treat, so thank you! Can I give you a quick tip I learned from a chef? When loading your freshly cut veggies into the pot simply flip the knife upside down to scrap them into the pot. This will save your knives long term & will not need to sharpened as often. Okay, that's it! Keep doing what you do and def open your own business. I did it 19 years ago & it was the best thing I've done with my life. I think I should order your cookbook. Be well!!
We all need to try and just live in the moment!! Seems we are always thinking about the future. I think you opening a bakery would be a good thing!! You are so great at baking and cooking in general!!🤗
Dear Isabel, You are such a lovely, wise young woman. I know I bring alot of suffering on myself by thinking I would be happier if.... fill in the blank. It is really something I struggle with. Thanks for for sharing from your heart, and experiences. Your food looks so DELICIOUS!! Opening up a bakery would be a big step, but I think you have what it takes to make it a success. Wishing you all the best today and everyday. ❤
you are such a wise soul , how true your words are, all we have is now. if you live in the past it will rob you of today. there is so much peace when you live in the moment and you open yourself up to your higher self where all knowledge is stored. love your many skills, what a talented lady you are isabelle. sending love and light to everyone xx
Isabel, you are so wise beyond your age to understand that all we have is now. So many people don't get that. The truth is we can't change our past and we can't control our future because we don't know our future. We can only live this moment to the fullest and enjoy what we have. All the things we acquire will mean nothing to someone else when we are gone from this earth. Tomorrow will take care of itself. You are a beautiful soul and so talented. God Bless you.
After living in a tiny space (school bus) for 3 years I moved into a house, it’s been 2 years now it’s nothing fancy but it definitely does improve your mood.. even after 2 years a full bathroom and a separate bedroom with tall ceilings gives me the happiness I craved and I still genuinely feel it. Your nervous system relaxes and it changes so much in your life. I feel blessed to have had those experiences though to fully appreciate an actual house and a normal bathroom! May you be blessed with a good home and a bathroom with a nice big tub and plenty of hot water to fill it;)
You are right when you say appreciate what we have. My neighbor keeps on improving their house and after completing, they will do more upgrades. I guess they are not happy and wanted more. The noisy construction doesn't end.
I honestly believe that you are very gifted! I'm going through separation at the moment and my mind relaxed when you concluded with the "living in the present" and accepting life as how it is right now! You are great!
You could live in the country in a house with a bathroom! And still have your tiny house for a “vacation “. Have a few acres to have your veggie garden and still have the mountains feel
