I always thought it would be so cool to be a rock star, but your touring vlogs have convinced me otherwise. All that travel is a PITA. The lifestyle seems tough without booze, drugs, and whores. I'm more happy with my 9 to 5 now and weekends off. Thanks!
Drums and amps are called ‘backline’ and in a fly-in situation like this, the are typically provided by the promoter, as part of the contact rider. There is a technical rider attached to the contract, specifying what exact gear the artists need, or acceptable substations. Same with p.a. and lights. And of course there is a separate meal/refreshment/dressing room rider. Bands on a tour of multiple, concurrent shows, typically take their own backline, as opposed to situations like these.
