Hey Sis, I feel your anxiety. I was diagnosed with scarring alopecia back in 2015. She was a black dermatologist and took a biopsy. She wanted to do cortisone shots to my scalp and vitamins. Change up to natural styles from flat ironing. My hair grows in the summer and breaks in the winter and I have thinning as well. All the best to you with your appointment. You got this!!
Thank You. I noticed my hair thinning at age 30, begin wearing wigs by age 33, diagnosed age 35. Current age 54, and I am tired of wigs & or having to have to wear a wig🎊 Thank You for your videos.
😢 Hello. I am a sister with alopecia, too. In my opinion, I am limited with hairstyles. Fake hair irritates my scalp with ulcers. Certain wigs do the same. Currently, I'm gray headed. I wear my hair in its natural state. I deal with it. Thank you kindly for encouraging others on this "alopecia journey."
Thank you for posting this I suffer from ccca and the dermatologist said treatment would get me 10% of my hair back possibly! I can afford the cost of that for 10% so I just suffer !
Thank you for your Beautiful Spirit, & Your Courage! 👏 Mom has Alopecia, & if it wasn't for your Inspirational Journey of Courage, I believe she wouldn't have found her joy again...😢 So Thank you! 🤗 I pray God carries you on this Healing journey with such a loving, & warm embrace... You got this, Sis!!!❤🙏

Not sure if you have tried it yet, but red light therapy is yielding promising results. If you try it get one with the highest penetration rating for the skull. There’s a brand that qualifies for FSA reimbursement. It’s expensive, but it’s also good for memory, brain health, focus, concentration, inflammation, sleep, etc.
I have scalp psoriasis due to stress. I have been using Rosemary water. It helps. Thank you for going to a medical doctor for a proper diagnosis and status.
Sis you got this!! I have scarring alopecia and just know that you inspire me. Thanks for being courageous and sharing your journey. ❤❤I pray that God continues to give you the strength to empower and inspire 🙏🏾🙏🏾
❤Oh God is healer. I had breast cancer 🎀 and was given 6-8months to live. I always had a head full of long thick healthy hair but lost it all to chemo. That was 10 years ago 😢. But God healed me of cancer. I asked the Lord to give me back all my hair like Lambs wool and He is doing just that!!! If the Lord Jesus did it for me, He will do it for you. Oh Hallelujah 😅!!!
You got this young lady. PRP treatments the process sounds discomforting, but as the doctor app topical analgesic on the scalp and wait a while, the blood is being processed. You got that ttra!!!!😮😮😊❤
Traction alopecia is very easily curable. No tight styles no wigs and no hats. Homemade Rosemary oil/water and rice water worked wonders ❤ good luck my girl and stay strong .
My mum has alopecia and has a fraction of the hair you have, one day she was feeling sad about it and I saw my dad hug her from behind and say “those who are the most beautiful don’t need hair”….. they have no idea I saw that precious moment but nonetheless I thought I’d share this with you and others who are far too beautiful for hair ❤
I have the same spots and got it about two years ago. It was very bad at first (on my edges and other places), but a lot of it grew back except for a spot on my crown. My dermatologist said there’s hope and took before and after pictures. Hair is growing and thicker in the spot on my crown. Good luck.
You will have a great appointment with your dermatologist. Don't be nervous. You got this! You are an inspiration for so many of us. I'm sending up some prayers for you. 🙏
Be sure to take a list of your questions and plan to advocate for yourself. Some doctors will speak confidently while missing the mark entirely, and others won’t care enough to investigate your concerns or seek solutions with you. I’ve experienced both more often than I’d like, but I’ve also experienced a few phenomenal doctors. We can’t control the bad ones, but we can make sure that we show up for ourselves during appointments by being persistent, tuning into our gut feelings, seeking answers, and loving ourselves regardless of the outcome. Best wishes 💛 You are loved and you are beautiful just as you are, always. Edit: If you aren’t already planning to, you might want to ask your derm about Litfulo. It’s a relatively new oral drug for treating severe alopecia areata.
