Being of Italian heritage myself, I would like to compliment you on your commitment to learning the Italian language and immersing yourself in the Italian culture. Not only do you speak conversational Italian well, but you are very polite in your replies to the Italian people that you interact with. For example, when you bought the flowers from the gentleman you responded ‘Grazie a lei’ which is used as a respectful response between two people. The plate does look really nice on the exhaust fan in the kitchen. It does need something there and the plate is a good option. I do love the colors in the design you made. I'm glad you didn't add the orange. You can always find a terracotta gingham fabric for the other side of the seat cushions to change it up from time to time😉

I recommend, painting the stark white hood a navy blue from the tiles to tie everything together. Paint a white cardboard with the color first to check whether it you like it or not. And the big ceramic plate on it too will look amazing.

Yes the big dish your husband found is really spot on! It brings the colors all together! Have some one hold it up for you! It’s a nice design that adds to the whole kitchen! Brings it all together! I agree with you, I’m always so happy when one of her Italy videos are dropped. Now, I am beginning to think I want to live there so badly. I think the town she went to to paint her custom cushions was absolutely beautiful, the street in the background, the views out of the artist’s house were just beautiful. I’m in the US and wish I had the “gumption” to get up and move there…that’s why I love watching Julie in Italy!!

I absolutely love the backslash tiles. They look like they were painted with water colors. I wasn't sure about the cabinet color, but it looks so good, especially with the tiles. I love the sink. It reminds me of my grandparents' sink. Having the coach in there was a great idea, so people can sit down and someone can move the table and pull the bed out.

The 2 bunches of flowers you bought are flowers that originate from South Africa. The big maroon flower is the King Protea which is the South African national flower. The Yellow/Orange is a Pincussion Protea. Love your channel from South Africa 🇿🇦

Fae is such a gem! Screen printing with her would be amazing. I think the hood over the stove would look better painted green like the other cabinets - to me it looks like someone forgot to paint it. The plate looks great on the hood, would be better with the green background. Such a beautiful kitchen!

This is coming together so lovely! The pattern you made is great! My 2 cents is to pull the peach color from the painting (it looks peach on my screen) in your kitchen for the back side. A lighter version of the peach color in ticking stripes, or something similar. Have fun making your cushions, and I look forward to seeing what you decide. Also, love the bowl over the stove, and I think you could add 1 or 2 smaller ones as well. It seems the space would allow for that.

Ceramic plate would look great on the stove hood! Maybe take the little curtain under the sink with you to find a complementary fabric for the back of the cushions. Remember if you fill up the walls with too many things it makes the kitchen look smaller. IMHO a definite NO to the mirrors! Love the covers you created! 🤩

Platter hung on oven hood👍🏻👍🏻 Backing fabric for chair cushion…perhaps a thin pillow ticking stripe that is the same color stripe in the curtains? I’m not sure about the mirrors. If it was me, I wouldn’t go there. Mirrors that size seem to be weird in a kitchen, but that’s my opinion. Other than that, everything looks great. Don’t over do it🙂🙂 Thank you for sharing👏🏻

Julie: Love you, Love your videos! Some hints to consider: 1. Tell us about the cellar you discovered? 2. Extractor casing: it already juts out, adding additional plate will be out too far...suggest painting it EXACT color of stove the yellowish ivory (perhaps satin finish?), then with your artist friend, make little stencil for one row similar to tile design but small ie: less than 2" in strip along bottom edge of extractor housing. 3. Love the painting, am not in love with it THERE, think you need a horizontal piece, if at all. See how two lamps and mirrors look first. 4. Remember with groupings: things look better in threes. 5. Speaking of groupings : Coco Chanel is said to have remarked that when there are several very similar pieces mounted on wall (ie: Wedgewood plates) to make the whole thing pop, add one ODD odd piece to the group. Julie, you're living my absolute dream here! * I love, love, love the pattern you chose for the stencils, & so much looking forward to seeing the seat cushions made up. You're possibly going to put ties on them, but having done this & not enjoying the flouncy effect (I have lots of men in my family) & constantly having to re-tie them, I found the flat, understated velcro or snap fastening on bands circling two rungs on the back of the chair to stay on better, giving a more tailored finish. Your idea of a stripe on the same blue & green on the reverse side of the pads sounds gorgeous, making them look more elegant, & reversible as well. I'd definitely get another couple made as spares, & rotate them so they age appropriately, because you know there'll be spillages from time to time. I just adore Luke's platter on the range hood. I was going to suggest a stencil in the same hues, but WOW!

The big platter is just lovely on the extractor hood. Plus, I think Luke would be tickled to know that his “find” would be a key contribution to your beautiful kitchen. (Also, consider adding curtain pull rods to help you open/close the drapes and to prevent stretching/soiling the fabric.)

The chair cushions turned out great. You could use the checked fabric under your sink for the backing of the cushions and have a reversible cushion. It would tie in everything . The picture is super great but it seems like it’s hung a bit too high or you might want to turn it side ways. Love this channel and your creativity.

An idea with the large platter which is brilliant by itself is to find another brass rod and mount it pretty high up and hang the platter from that rod like they used to do portraits. You have that look at your castle. I think the brass rod would make it look less floating and would match your window. you could add other simple brass pieces above it to lock it in place. I love the look simple also. I like your organic process. Love that you put your mark on the cushions with the block printing.

Julie perhaps consider hanging ur pots and pans above ur stove by using a copper rack? it will bring depth to the room. The copper color will also add warmth to the room and tie ur color scheme together well.

The floor mirrors are a great idea, they will both open up the room, but also brighten up the room by bouncing the light from the lamps.

Absolutely love the silk screening fabric episode… the patterns are fabulous Like your drain tray but a warning to you the drain tray will rust and seep into your marble … best to put a backing on the tray so not to damage the marble Not sure about the type of mirrors next to the painting in the kitchen maybe 2 old window frames and have mirrors put into the frames ? I Do think the mirrors are a great idea Table cloth on the small round table by the window is great
