They have already accepted that The Pink One defies all logic, but is also just out to make you smile. Do love how early this show went to the slightly more complex then usual morals you'd expect from a moral of the week kids show. "Some 'friends' are just toxic AF and should be ditched from your life if they refuse to knock it off."

Ah Gilda Griffon, the first non-pony race we we were introduced to (Spike doesn’t count). I can’t wait till the worldbuilding begins

"Griffon the Brush-Off" is another one of my all time favorite season 1 episodes! Hell GIlda became an instant fan favorite character for many in the mlp fandom, And the most memorable scene of this episode is the one where RD runs away from Pinkie Pie while she chases RD by defying the laws of physics. lol but it was interesting to see Pinkie and RD getting along by pulling pranks!

Spoilers Thats one of the reasons I was so surprised it took them so long to bring her back. If I remember correctly we dont see her again until season 5.

And, the entire scene is a reference to the old Pepe Le Pew Looney Tunes shorts. It also established that Fluttershy was older then the rest. I liked that it showed Pinkie understood boundaries. instead of just being the annoying prankster that usually shows up in kids shows. she knew who would be ok with a prank and who my get hurt by them. I like to think she has a sense about that kind of thing, too. hence the ending bit with celestia. like she knew something we didn't.

This was the episode that made me hate Gilda, although she was respectable as a character, NOBODY mistreats my favorite character, Fluttershy. The writers of this show did a bang up job making the audience actually care about the characters enough to want to instantly bond with them.

I love knowing that the voice actress for Gilda the Griphon is also the voice for the foul-mouthed Revy in Black Lagoon. In fact, several of the actresses in this have voiced characters in that show, all with foul mouths.
