Thanks for the tips! As newbie this is so good :) Can you go deeper on this? I know Lo-Fi can be anything theres lo fi house and lofi what ever but this kinda lo fi its nostalgic stuff, ambience but in all your tracks you go further and are highly melodic, like a journey instead of being repetitive, its cool. By the way thanks for all the tuts and content you create, had been an inspiration to return to music.

I just started music production, and I am halfway through your music theory series. Your videos are amazing, thank you so much! My brain is overloaded with information, but I hope to be as great as you someday. I have been using Bandlab as my DAW, but I am considering using FL Studio, do you have any thoughts on these DAWs? Thank you again, you're an amazing teacher!

BandLab is great - I use Ableton Live as my main DAW. Many great musicians use FL Studio so if you go in that direction, I'm sure you'll be able to make something great. Check around and see if you can find good tutorials / resources to make sure you'll be able to learn it well.

I found this video very helpful, but I have one question about sidechain. Do you use the same amount of sidechain for every instrument in a song? Or do you thing there's a certain level that has to be applied for synths/bass/arps? :') Thank you and again I loved the video :'3

Hey TAETRO! I just started making some Lo-Fi Beats with my Akai MPK Mini MK2 and MPC Beats. Do you have some absolute beginner tips? Just having my PC, controller and a pair of studio speakers. For the sidechain compressors: have you considered grouping tracks to limit the amount of plug-ins and cpu use? Or maybe even set up one send track to use as THE sidechain track? Unless you use different settings for each track.

Does anyone know if there is a _USB-C_ keyboard controller, with or without a drum pad onboard, and that is not a micro key, but more close to a full-size key, like five inches or so, and is also under 49 keys. Something like an Arturia Mark II or Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 but not a USB-B interface.

Why is that you prefer to add EQ to each track instead on the master?

this is pretty standard. Each track is a unique sound with different resonant frequencies to boost or subtract depending on the mix. An EQ on the master is for the overall sound of the track
