The armor keeps the shield strength when dropped. So if you have a fully charged red armor and drop it, when someone picks it up it is still fully charged and red. But if the one that picks it up only has purple armor then the red armor he picks up will initially be red but will slowly degenerate down to purple. If someone with a red armor get's cracked and drops his armor to the ground and someone with a white armor picks it up, the red armor automatically transforms into white armor, even if the new player uses cells/bats. The reason players drop armor to the ground is because it's a much faster armor swap than having to open a dead player's box and swapping from there.

@@Snowstorm_ICE thanks a ton for the answer! So you need to get it out of a death box and then drop it? For instance, I can’t drop my own red armor and then just pop a battery to have 2 armors?

@@FluffiestWalrus Yes. Because an armor is an item, much like how you can't drop a gun and then reload it. The armor must be equipped to be recharged.

The damage ramp up really tapers after a couple hundred meters. If he hit that shot from 300m it would’ve done around 160-170

It’s a game not a movie, it’s part of the design to help hold off 3rd parties

If you kill someone, it's fair to assume that should give you some protection in case someone jumps in with full health and ammo and all that. However, I do think the armor swaps should have a cooldown before they become useless again so that people can't do what they did and stack so many for several minutes while at full shields anyway

Armor swaps have been in game way before you started playing go back to call of duty where you don't have Armor swap
