I adore my M2 Competition. I have owned 911’s for 30 years. I traded my last C4S in for my M2C. The M2C is better balanced and just more fun. It’s a different animal and more of a hooligan performance car that is stupid fast/fun and a track superstar. On the street, the 6 piston front/ 4 piston rear brakes are over kill. It grabs so hard with just a toe touch. BMW did everything right with the Competition/CS. Honestly, most will never be good enough to drive the M2C to its full potential. Forget any price range, I have driven them all and IMO, the M2C/CS is THE best modern M car BMW makes. It’s the right size and has more soul. It saddens me to say this but considering what BMW did to the new M3/M4, BMW can only screw up the next gen M2C. The current one is that exceptional. My advise is find one now as it is already a super star. Years from now it will be a legend.

Moved to Zurich almost 5 years ago, and for almost 3 years now, this is my favourite car review youtube channel. Also I can say, honestly, that is my favourite "what to visit next in Switzerland" channel as well, even though, I usually go on this roads with a much lesser car, the 328i F30. Keep up the great content you are making Luke!

I had the same experience years ago with a BWW 335 coupe, absolute little rocket!

This looks like a great car. From your review, it reminds me of my 2011 M3 Competition edition but with more power; I still own and love the M3. As for the M2 versus the GT4, the M2 might have more power but the total package of the GT4 (which I also own) is much more, starting with how it looks inside and out and, I suspect, the light weight feel; plus, I suspect the gear box of the M2 CS doesn't match up with the GT4. Unless something has changed, BMW gear boxes are very good, but not great. Also, the GT4 is NA, not turbo, so it will likely be more durable and capable of being run hard for longer. I've been told that the M4 engine is great but the heat and compression generated by the turbos take their toll over time. But, when the M3 dies, the M2 CS sounds like a great replacement! Fun review. Nice job. Thanks!

This video is deeply satisfying 😝. When you replied to my comment on a previous video that you hadn’t driven one yet, I knew you were going to love it! I went from a 2018 M2 that I loved, to a ‘20 M2C that I absolutely love. I was offered an M2CS, and the only reason I turned it down was because I like to personalize my cars. The second I modify a CS, the value of the car disappears since it’s a very limited production. Hope to see you on Swiss roads next summer in an M2C/CS! 🤙🏻

She should install some Recaro sportster cs seats, will change the feeling of the car and make the interior feel more premium. And maybe a darker tint on the rear windows 👍

I love both cars. M2 LCi and M2 CS but price wise M2 with a downpipe and tune, a cf splitter and a coilover set: 2/3 of the price and will sound better, perform better.

the m2 cs is sick but I can't get over the price, my m2 n55 with all the goodies from kw, Recaro, millway, armytrix etc costs less than half of the cs. and ill probably be upping the power to the same as the cs soon. if ur ever around near Montreux then hit me up and maybe I can convince u to start a m2 comp project car ;)

I'm not a BMW fan at all, but if I had to have one, it would be the M2. The CS looks impressive, more so the exterior. (In fact, I think it looks better than a C63 coupe!) I think it's also the last good looking BMW made today :-p Agreed with the exhaust, maybe BMW _wants_ people to change it?! :D

I agreed. The GT4 drive very good, a very well balanced chassis. Although it misses the punch 🥊! But the mid engine chassis drive fantastic in the corner. An ideal weight distribution for a sport car. 🦅🦅🇺🇸 I have had many BMW and M series. BMW make a good drinking sport sedan.

I've driven a lot of cars due to my job and if you ask me what's the best or better BMW M-series i'd say the M2 is the perfect car, handling wise and it's more driveable then the others M3, M4's are always to pushy.. keep up the good work man love the vids!

My wife has a 228i and it blows my mind that the M2 has the same seats. Really disappointing. I'd still have an M2 mind you, especially with that exhaust. :-) But would have the Comp or CS...if I could.

Bmw have been strangely so hit and miss the last few years, particularly this year with the god awful front grill on The M4. The M2 CS/competition have been some of their best cars since they made the 1 series M which was an incredible drivers car, a lot like there old E36/E46 M3's

I considered a lot of other cars before buying my M2 CS... and I may still pick up a 2024 Vet or GT4 or a low mileage R8, but none of the many cars I looked at will give me the performance AND the utility of the M2 CS. The trunk is massive compared with the space offered by any of the other cars. The GT4 is the closest in cargo space and it's a long way away by more than half. If you want to make a descent grocery run or take a trip of more than an overnight or two, only the M2 will do. If you want to take a week or two out of town with the GF or wife, you're not doing it in any of the other cars I considered. And, even though it's a "sedan" it has a magnetic effect on the eyes of the public. I bought mine in Boston, MA and drove it to DC. Every 10-20 miles someone would come zooming up through traffic to wave and give me the high sign. And I don't even have the standout blue paint... I had to settle for white. Yet it still catches peoples eyes. My wife doesn't know cars at all, but when I pulled in and she came out, she was wide eyed. "That's one sexy car!" was her first impression. "It's got hips like a woman!" was her next. I was a little late to the party as it were because I bought mine used in late 2023 with just over 4K miles on the odometer and only one previous owner. I chased 3 and missed before I locked this one down... it was like all of a sudden there was a resurgence of interest and the few low mileage specimens available were in high demand. No surprise to be sure. One guy beat me with a deposit by ten minutes. If you can find one, expect to pay over the original sticker price, even if the car has 15K -20K miles on it. I paid 2K over sticker and was shocked that they didn't demand more. There were several examples with higher miles selling for more at the time. How do I feel about my M2CS? It reminds my of a bumper sticker about gun rights... you'll have to pry the fob from my cold dead fingers! I'm planning to keep this car for decades. This is one of those cars that if you're fortunate enough to get one, you don't let it go. I'm not going to mod it. It doesn't need it and it will be worth more in original condition. Only 564 of these bad boys were made in 2020 and only for that one year. Half were 6 speed manuals and half were 7 speed DCT automatics. A lot of them were stripped and raced. Many have been crashed and totaled. So, they are rapidly approaching unicorn status.

Hi Luke, my mate passed on your video and I have to say your cinematography and editing are outstanding. I have just subscribed. You didn't answer the question of 718 GTS over M2 CS directly . But indirectly the extra power punch of the CS wins your heart. Would have liked to hear more of a descriptive breakdown from Laura either in cabin or after her drive. As a previous owner of an M2 I would like to hear an owner's opinion of the difference. Maybe another video is warranted. Don't know why Laura is camera shy as she is so photogenic. I am sweating on my M2 CS in Manual to arrive in a matter of weeks. The price equation for the 718 GTS and M2 CS in Australia is a totally different one as Porsche price gouges us here. Its roughly $40 K difference so the CS is a no brainer and it's limited in production.
