Two messed up kids finding comfort in their little made up domains miles away, now grown into monsters destroying what good they have left in each other all the while till begging for love they never receive. Their love is sick and it morphs and changes. They look into each other and see only the husk of a person they once knew but they still hold onto something thats no longer there. We’re prisoners in one another’s hearts, bound by fear. I miss who he was or maybe I miss the thought of who he could of been. I know he misses the innocent soul that kept his warm. The love, the dreams, the touch that I offered. Our love is sick.

This is also the perfect Hanahaki song! I'm currently obsessed with Hanahaki so here are the lyrics in reference to it: *My love is sick* → Literal description of Hanahaki *It leaks and bleeds, all over me onto my niecest shirt* → Coughing up blood and flowers *Vines without roots, like knives in my body* → The disease taking root in their body *You're an infection I am keeping. No matter the sepsis you are staying. I'd rather the wound than have you removed* → The person has accepted their condition and decided against the surgery *Killing me keeping me high* → Their love is what's killing them, but also what keeps them going *You're the cure, you're the curse. He is the best person I've ever known. Wonderful, thoughtful, generous, heart of gold type of friend. He is everything I could have dreamed and more. He is often the only reason I can smile, the only reason I can keep going. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I'd take a bullet for him in a heartbeat. And his girlfriend is really sweet, too. Maybe it's pathetic of me, to keep being friends, to cling to that sliver of love, albeit platonic, that he is giving me. But I refuse to stop being a friend. I just discovered your channel and I was wondering if this was about the flower disease, hanahaki disease because "you're my killer and my christ" because the disease kills the person with flowers and that people get it because of unrequited love and the lover is indirectly killing the person and the line "but I'm the one twisting the knife" suggesting that the person loves the lover but knows it is unrequited or is this about a toxic relationship because of the part "You're and infection I am keeping" suggesting that the person is holding onto a toxic relationship with some one and then the line "no matter the sepsis" and sepsis is the bodies extreme response to an infection suggesting even more that even though the person in dying inside they will keep on holding onto the person. that was alot and thank you if you took your time to read through all of it

@@nelia515 1.this song was made before all the others, it wasn't initially supposed to be part of the series. The appearance is therefore irrelevant because dog and bird weren't a concept when this song was made. 2. the pov of the song is depicted as having a knife through her she says "but I'm the one twisting the knife" perhaps she was stabbed? Maybe in her sleep metaphorically? Like a certain dog we know? She the only one depicted with a knife through her. 3. in one of dogs songs she says "but it still leaves something *sick* in me. Perhaps like her love. perhaps it may be sick even? It's an obvious reference. This song is only ever referenced in dog's songs. Lastly, bird did not keep dog's love, she left when it got bad, also have you noticed that all the dark songs belong to dog? because they all are.

I feel like it's both a part of the series of dogbird and separate? Cuz in dogbird at the end u hear references to all the other songs about the two all layered and mixed together, including some of the lyrics to this song, so it does indicate that this is a reference to their relationship, weather its both dog and bird and not just one over the other. They both knew it was a toxic relationship. I see the concept being from birds' pov, but also when she sings, "birds find perch in my ribs and I stich myself up to keep them" dog keeping a hold of bird and trapping them, even though she knows what kind of hold she had on them. At the end of the day, it's a really good song, and it makes me cry

Girl you good? I have no clue what you've gone through or are going through, but if you wrote the same lyrics I heard then damn do I pray you get the help you deserve. I'm so sorry you ever felt that gouged. I could feel how your pain just kept slowly creeping across you throughout the song like a liquid slowly staining a cloth. What's even worse is the fact that this sounds like a worship song, hell, you even mention how they're your Christ which only accentuates how much you wanted them. Fuck, I almost cried listening to it the second time. And I get it too, having someone awful in your life, but they still love you and you love them and want good things for them but aren't able to ignore the bad things they do. For me, it's my mother, who is probably mentally ill but still verbally abused my sister until they eventually cut them out of their life, both ways, still thinking they're in the right. But nonetheless, I hope you've left and gotten out of that situation and are able to heal. Because there's no point in leaving yourself broken, eaten alive, and/or hurt. I pray you have people to hold onto, be with, and be near and dear to. Despite how it feels the high highs aren't worth the deepest of lows, you are also a person who deserves to be loved by you, and I hope anyone who reads this comment knows that too. I wish I could do more than just send thoughts and prayers, but I hope this helped

God fucking damn it. This video was recommended to me just this morning, and now, hours later, I still have it on repeat. The lyricism is beautiful, intense in a way that makes you feel things there aren’t words accurate enough to describe without diluting and downplaying how visceral it is. The instrumentals feel like movement rather than sound, a storm of colors and feeling that you can only experience through that movement. On top of everything, these visuals perfectly represent the song itself and what it makes one feel.
