I haven't checked on your channel in a few years, i'm glad to see you and Ken are doing well! Changing your lifestyle to get healthy is a very difficult thing to do, you're trying to break decades of bad habits that lead up to this point. I also struggle with bad eating habits, sugar is my biggest vice. It's like that's all i want to eat, i've cut back and relapsed more times than i can count and i'm not even 30 years old yet. When i start coming down on myself for being weak and giving in, it takes a while to remind myself to use my frustration and anger with myself as motivation to get back on track and do better. I've done it before, i can do it again. Just remember- you're stronger than you give yourself credit for. All the willpower to achieve your goals is already inside you, you just have to access it. Sounds like that's what you guys are doing! I'm proud of the progress you've made!
Congrats to you two! ❤️ The biggest thing I changed when I started (successfully) losing weight was the 50/50 rule...making sure most plates are half fruits/veggies and half everything else! I still eat pasta all the time, I just add more tomatoes and zhuchinni than noodles. Slather it in 50-100 cals of sauce and parmesean and its the same darn thing! (And if you want to get really fancy, a melted laughing cow wedge or some cottage cheese makes it super rich and creamy and adds a protein boost!) 🍝 😋 So proud of you and ken for empowering yourselves to keep up with healthy habits. Its really all about understanding that we DESERVE to treat ourselves right with these things 🥰🥰🥰
I've never heard of taking/using birth control so far into adulthood. Ya can't just do 'this' for a week and say, "I'm not losing weight, I need to change what I'm doing." Then after another week or two of doing 'that' say, "I'm still not losing weight..." This isn't how it works. It takes time, but despite this fact... Metabolism is a factor. It's not 'smart' to cut meals just to lose weight. Not everyone will have success with any given way others do have success. Your weight loss, Candi, is definitely much more noticeable than Ken's. You should show before and 'after' (current) - of both of you. Before, as in when you both were just starting to lose weight.
