Hi Suki! I actually just received an acceptance for the msc global communications lse/usc this week and was doing some research on the program before I decide to accept the offer or not! I love how you’ve documented your time at LSE and it’s been really helpful to see what life might be like :D I was wondering if you think completing the masters at LSE was worth the expense, how many other people are in the dual degree program (and if they’re friendly haha), and what career paths you believe the degree is helpful for. Sorry I know that’s a lot of info to ask about, I’m so curious about this program and there’s not a ton of info online! Thanks so much and keep up your amazing content 🤗

Heya! Congratulations!! I’m glad my videos are helping 🥰 I definitely think it was worth it since after graduating from undergrad I was still unsure where my direction in life is and doing a masters gave me another year of thinking which landed my job to work in a tech company! The year in LSE you basically take lessons with everyone who is doing a communications masters degree. You will not only take lessons with global media and communications students. I’m not sure how many people there are but everyone is friendly I will say. They are all very happy to talk to you and help if you reach out! Yes I agree, the information online is quite confusing sometimes. I just wanted to give out the information I wanted to receive when I was at your position last year! 😊😊

Hello Suki, I have an unconditional offer for MSc in Public and Social Communications from the LSE and Communication Science: Corporate communication at the University of Amsterdam. My aim is to work right after completing my master's. I know that LSE is very prestigious, but it is considerably (ten times more) expensive than Amsterdam Uni (30k vs 7-10k). At UvA, I have to take pre-masters which further extends my master's for four months. I am thinking of paying that much for LSE when I can pursue my master's for much less?

Hi Suki! Thank you for this. I was a bit confused when you started talking about the stats exam. It is required for the USC/LSE dual degree?

Hi! Yes it is a mandatory module for the all the communications masters degree. It is basic statistics, I personally never had any experience doing stats but still managed to power through so it shouldn’t be a worry!

Hey! The procedure for changing your degree is not too complex, I think especially the change from global media and communications to just media and communications since that does not really affect the modules you are taking, it simply only affects where you are going at the end of the first year. Therefore the change is quite easy!

Hey I know it’s pretty late but I hope you reply…So I want to do the same course as you but I’m low-key worried about getting a job in this field as I will be an international student and i would only have 1 year experience living in the UK before approaching for a job (idk if that makes sense) … so do you have a lot of intl students in your course and do you have any idea if the Uni would help in placements or generally have a ‘careers’ department to help out? Or is London pretty calm with foreigners I’m basically worrying for no reason😭? Damn i hope this question wasn’t too long💀

Hi! Thank you sm for the video :) I know it is pretty late but I was wondering if there are many people pursuing this degree with a non-media background? I received an offer but I studied law during my undergrad, so I am getting a bit worried I might be way behind others.

Yes! You don’t need specific media skills, you just need the eager to learn and good essay writing skills 😊
