Why does no one recognize her for how much of a villain she is? Like other Disney villains have reasons and such, but she literally just wants blood.

Can we all just appreciate how metal Zera is? She's singing about how she finds it pleasant to fall asleep to the sound of people screaming as they die in agony and their family's anguished crying as they mourn them. That's some OG psychopath shit.

I think I figured it out, Jonathan isn't a Disney villain yet because he'd be too good at his job; kids would have nightmares for months.

I always listen to this lullaby when I go to sleep. Been awake for 5 days now.

The way he says “you will be a king” is both terrifying and low-key arousing.

You know, it never dawned on me just how disturbing this song actually is until I heard this version. It's as if it was written to be a metal song. It's fucking brutal!

Lime green. Eveything lime green in a Disney movie is evil.

Oh, wow, only having one singer and therefore reworking the siblings’ lines for Zira so that Nuka saying “Sleep, you little termite! I mean, precious little thing...” becomes Zira weirdly sincerely saying “Sleep, my little termite - I mean, precious little thing...” is still weirdly fitting, considering despite all the attention and investment she gives Kovu, she actually kinda sees him strictly as a means to an end and basically has zero investment in him as a person. While she realizes she’s been a terrible mom when Nuka dies... she just scapegoats Kovu instead of actually extending that to him, too, even.

This song is so underrated

I like how you transplanted Nuka's line to Zira, as it shows how she really sees Kovu, a tool for her revenge, a termite that would gnaw away at the foundations of the Pride Lands.

I’m sure he’s a sweet guy in real life, but Jonathan makes the best villain EVER!

Original song was quite badass, but this... wow... just... WOW....! AWESOME!

The 15+ seconds of silence at the end really adds to the uneasiness one feels when listening to this. Like, the song was already disturbing due to how insane Zira is. Then the cover adds to the insanity. And the silence at the end gives a sense of forboding. Especially because Jon usually ends his videos with a message thanking the fans for watching, or a short preview of another song that you can check out.
