I’m so happy for you. It really is an amazing medication. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that I believe that the pharmaceutical company/head scientist deserves a Nobel Prize for this. It’s a miracle drug that is giving so much life back to so many people. I can’t imagine what it would be like to breathe better after a lifetime of not being able too. Thank you Jodie! Your comment brought happy tears to my eyes. This is way more than I have ever imagined or hoped for. My parents are beyond thankful and happy! Yes Vertex Pharmaceuticals deserves a noble prize is right. A few years back I actually visited them and got to thank the workers and a few of the scientists when I was in clinical trial for the mediation Orkambi which is pretty much the first mediation of this kind for my genetic makeup, a CF Modulator. Those scientists live for this and I can not thank them enough!
30% is huge, im starting kaftrio in a few weeks and would b happy if I got 10% extra,im at 40% pft's atm and if I got over 50 it would b amazing,im 45 now and not blown over 50 since my late 20s. Glad u r doing well,keep fighting
Yes I can’t believe be what it has done for me to amazing. It is nothing like the other past modulators I have been in symdeko and Orkambi. I said the same thing as you starting it. I am crying from shear joy. I follow Mary Frey who started earlier than most. I also follow Shane Burchaw, Hannah(Squirmy & Grubbs). He is receiving a life changing drug as well. Spinraza. I am a breast cancer survivor and the mortality of people with the type I have has decreased drastically! What a great time to be alive!

this is nuts, ive been on a decline of my own over this past 2 years, i was 79-82% 2 years ago but ive been between 56 and 68 over this last year, i cant wait for the uk to get trikafta, we have orbambi and simkevi but im not the right gene types for them, i need to wait for trikafta

It is an amazing feeling. I never thought I would even make it to my age now 29 but to think I can possibly live past the age of 29 is such a gift and blessing 😊
