watched this weeks ago and finished watching your update. this is so shocking. what people dont realise is just that its not the thievery but the violation and its longterm impact on your headspace. weve been burglarised before and to this day i lock every door and windows and i check over and over again before leaving my house even with alarms and remote security monitoring. i have lost packages from sephora and mecca before and I have actually stopped buying from them because they might replace the items but the time and hassle having to call over and over again.

You obviously do not shop from Farfetch. When you return items via DHL, Farfetch ask that you allow the DHL driver inspect the contents. Then it is sealed and scanned. That way the customer is 100% protected in that the receiving end cannot claim you send a dodgy item back to the seller. Makes perfect sense to me. that's the way it works from Australia.

I can 100% relate to how you feel every step of the way because I recently had my belongings stolen with a similar outcome. Please don't feel pressured to respond, I only wanted to express my empathy and thank you for sharing. I had a very similar experience. The delivery guy signed my neighbour's name on the delivery slip and took my items home with him. They sent another driver to my house to investigate and he knew exactly who had my package. He went to the guy's house and got my package, then brought it to me. I have never seen that original guy ever again. It was obvious this was a regular occurrence with him. Hopefully, he was suitably 'rewarded' by the company. I really feel for you.

Oh this is devastating to have happen and I can fully empathize. Yes, violated is how I felt too when I discovered that thousands of dollars of checks were stolen from within the USPS system and cashed. It was such a mess to try to get it all sorted and it seems often that these thefts are internal. I learned that the post office branch near me had had other cases of employees stealing checks from the mail and forging them at various banks. I hope you get this resolved quickly!!! xx

Oh Meredith I’m so sorry😢this is what happened to me 2 weeks ago…I bought a pair of Fendi earrings online…when I received the parcel it had been opened & my earrings stolen..now the postman did not ring the doorbell I got the Notification on my phone that my parcel had arrived…I went outside I could see instantly that my parcel had been tampered with.. I have surveillance cameras had a look just to make sure that no one had been on my property…it’s been 2 weeks & numerous amount of phone calls with Australia Post & still no compensation..they almost made me feel as though I was the one that had done something wrong..I’m absolutely disgusted how people think they can help themselves to other peoples belongings..I hope they get to the bottom of it & do something about it ❤

I'm in Sydney and I always leave my DHL boxes open, my driver has been my driver for years and is amazing and super trustworthy - so sorry this happened to you. You would have needed to record the weight on your waybill doc, DHL would have weighed the boxes when they arrived at the depo and I am assuming throughout the processes it moves between states and depo's etc. - they should be able to ascertain where the bags were taken based on the change in weight.

As someone who's sold/bought designer items in Sydney that's seriously my biggest fear. I've heard so many horror stories of not only items being stolen and miraculously disappearing (have had people buying from LV online and the box arrives EMPTY) via DHL.

I had one negative experience with DHL, but it was many years ago now. There was false information filled out in the delivery paperwork. It showed a time and date that my package was delivered, yet I had not received it. A lot of phoning around revealed that my package was still in the warehouse. I did get it eventually, but wtf it made me wonder how many of those couriers falsified their paperwork to make their records look good.

I had a similar situation happen to me, but on a much smaller scale with FedEx. I purchased a re-loved LV set and between the authenticator and me the box had been opened and re-taped with the contents stolen. It was most definitely a FedEx worker who stole my items. FedEx investigators were able to see on video that they received the box 📦 from the authentication sealed and undamaged, so no question it was an employee. However they were unable to figure out wich employee it was. I think the FedEx employee was aware the items would be luxury coming from the authentication service.

I was absolutely livid when I thought someone stole my package out of my mailbox that was worth $16.99 and it had a dress in it. Turns out my mailman delivered it to the wrong address as I received it a few days later. It wasn't even about the material good. I still felt violated and betrayed thinking someone in my neighborhood took something that was not theirs out of my own mailbox. It's a violating feeling and I lost trust of people and was incredibly hurt that someone could take something from someone else and feel as though they have a right to it. I cannot imagine the disgust you are feeling and I hope you press charges on that man so he learns his lesson.

I live in Connecticut and had a house warming. 14 of my Michael Kors bags went missing along with perfumes and my north face coats. I’m disabled and on a small budget so I understand the feeling violated part. I felt that way as well. (Although the investigator made me feel like it was my fault for opening up my house) Not that my stuff comes anywhere near yours it’s the feeling of someone taking your stuff. About 15 years ago I left my cellphone on a flight and watched it drive around LA using “find my” online. I filed a police report with LAX police and they ended up tracing it to an employee who cleaned the plane after my flight. I got my phone back and the officer told me the employee was fired. These situations are devastating, a violation of privacy and so many other horrible feelings. All your feelings are so valid. I pray that however this may seemingly end, that you are able to completely shed the negativity that the perpetrator brought into your life.

Your video just happened to come across my feed, so this is the first time I've viewed your channel. Weighing in, here's a bit of advice. Careful you don't get sued by the "alleged" suspected theif. The same situation happened to my co-worker. She suspected her normal delivery driver. He was eventually fired. Later, it was discovered to be another delivery driver within the company. Seems the normal driver had gossiped among his coworkers about my coworkers' packages, and one of them used the information to his advantage by undermining during the delivery process while the package was left unattended. The usual driver sued the company for lost wages and reinstatement, plus my coworker for defamation! Don't let your anger cost you more than the loss of your bags!

As someone who’s gone thru this I’m so sorry ur experiencing the horrid feeling of violation from this type of theft 😢!! TIPS (to help w/ any future mailing): Video the packing process for evidence in the event of a claim. Use tamper-proof tape to seal the box. Buy insurance that properly covers the value in case of damage or theft. Keep ANY receipts (driver pickup tag, time of drop-off print out, etc) - this tells them who was initially responsible for the pkg & where to start an internal investigation.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this. The absolute audacity is astounding! Do they check the starting weight against the weight at each delivery point? Also there are cameras at the facility. So it may have been stolen at a station if the weight is changed. If no weight changed then it was done on the truck. Yes you can file a claim but as stated that’s not the point. Plus claims can take forever. I hope Connor did not get rid of the packaging, including the tape, hopefully the thief left fingerprints.

We’re living in a time that stealing is ok or rather companies can write it off, but I don’t think we should be desensitized nor be okay with it either. People do get hurt and it’s costing us more.

Same thing happened to me. DHL stole a Christmas gift from me. It was limited edition coming from overseas (I live in USA). They were no help so I had to file a claim with my credit card to get refunded.

I am so very sorry this happened to you 😢 the feeling of being violated in this situation is very real and 100% understandable. I really hope you are able to come to a resolution and find out the perpetrator so you can gain some closure to this horrible situation. Please be careful with your home security as well. If your hunch is right, he/she knows where you live and likely that you have other designer bags/items in the home given that they are aware you’ve shipped them before on other occasions.

Just a few days ago I was at a supermarket and there was an old lady crying and asking people around whether they’ve seen her shopping trolley. She was really devastated. I spoke to her for a while, she didn’t mention the money she paid for the trolley even once, it was not about money, she was devastated by the fact that someone felt it’s ok to simply take her belonging and walk away. I totally understand how you feel and I hope the person will face the consequences.

The worst thing that can happen now is that person isn't found. There house needs to be inspected by police. This is a terrible thing to happen with a trusted company and they should be doing everything in their power to track your things down. This is so horrible. I’m sorry this happened to you. I hope you see this bc I’ve had the same thing happen to me, and I started using security packing tape. It’s a colored tape that actually cannot be removed without leaving marks on a box. I also video every single second of packing now including showing the item and its serial date code and keep the video running until the second I deliver the box to be shipped. I’ve actually had the shipment companies I’ve used in the US fight me on my theft claim the first time it happened, so that’s why I’ve taken so many steps to protect myself. The second time it happened to me (different shipment company), they had no way to fight me bc of all the documentation I had. It’s so violating for this to happen, and I hope you catch them and they are fully prosecuted.
