This doesn’t mean your transmission is going bad. The shifting is perfectly normal. My 2016 bmw m5 does the same thing. Transmission should last very long on these vehicles. Usually the engine goes out first.
Clutches arent slipping, the cars tcm is having issues. I'd either have the tcm fully reset or possibly replaced. Try to see if the cars throwing any codes.
You need to reflash/reprogram the transmission with an updated version and I’ll do also the trans service oil and filter I can guarantee you that it’s gonna be perfectly fine,I own a f06m6 and I had a similar situation
hey boss i have an m5 and i have bm3 and bimmerlink and i can reset adaptations for trans is it as simple as click reset or is there more i need to do it properly?
I usually keep my shift speed to 1, you have yours on 3, I would service the transmission and keep the shift speed to 1 for daily driving. if you're racing then I would set the shift speed to 2 or 3.
@anthonyulloa4004 I would say it's the clutches, mine went out after stage 2 catless tune. Slipped most the time in higher gears. I never had that rpm drop issue tho, I did get drivetrain malfunction warnings tho.
You probably drive it very wild everyday . It will break eventually if you abuse it. But the transmission in these cars are actually pretty Solid. Just do Trans service new fluid and filter and see if you find any mental in the fluid.

if youre making anywhere near 630-650 wheel the clutches start slipping, per BMW Fanatics. Also i though DCT's are self servicing BMW claims the fluid is a lifetime fluid.
@BulletsGarage nah bro I was installing new PCV valves and I didn't ground the ECU properly when I was putting it back. I didn't even know grounding the ECU was a thing. Never working on my car again lol
